From the upstairs covered patio you can watch the sailboats heading to and from the marina, while you sit back and experience the cool, ocean breezes. The infinity pool with its own waterfall invites you to submerge yourself while watching the marina activities, and beyond the marina you can see whales, dolphins, sea turtles and schools of fish frolic in the bay. Early morning and late afternoon, you can watch the local fishermen cast their nets in hopes of landing their catch of the day. Next to the pool there is a gas BBQ, so you can cook your own catch of the day while watching the sun’s rays play on the water.

Casa La Joya is a gorgeous home with large living and dining room filled with art and crafts from the region. In the living room is a designer sofa where you can curl up and read, or watch the activity of the bay and marina. Casa La Joya offers some of the best views of the new La Cruz Yacht Club and Marina and the Banderas Bay beyond. The living room has a wall of glass that leads to the pool and patio complete with outdoor wetbar and marble counters for those poolside margaritas. Plus, you have TV, DVD/VCR and Sky Satellite with American and Canadian TV channels.

There is a fully supplied kitchen with all the amenities of home including a side by side refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microwave. In this wonderful kitchen you will be surrounded by marble counters and designer basketweave cabinetry.

Casa La Joya has two master suites that will please even the most discriminating guests. The larger of the two suites has a king sized bed with architecturally designed headboard that houses controls for both your light and fans. The master bath is crafted in beautiful carved marble walls with a copper sink and faucet. The Jacuzzi tub is surrounded by glass walls and one-way glass, so that you can enjoy the views while bathing in privacy.

Adjacent to the king bedroom is a sitting area/dressing room that could serve as extra sleeping space with our two ottomans that convert into single beds. In this room also you will find an entire wall of closet space, so bring all the clothing that you desire. You may walk from this room onto the patio with the infinity pool and waterfall for a refreshing swim.

The second master suite has a queen sized bed with its own sculpted headboard with controls at your fingertips. It also boasts its own private sitting area that opens to the entry garden. A large circular (snail) shower is designed with inlaid shells - some of the same shells you'll find on nearby beaches. Again you will find marble walls, stone sinks and curved cabinetry.

After exploring this lovely home, you may want to stroll the beach from the marina to look for seashells or just to sunbathe. Try out the Yacht Club Restaurant overlooking the sea or stroll the malecon (boardwalk) of the new marina where you can rent a boat to take you fishing or snorkeling or whale watching. Walk a little farther into the town of La Cruz and you will find everything from world class restaurants to little funky spots where you can listen to every kind of music from rock to jazz to mariachi. You can dance the night away at Anna Banana's or Philo's.
