Fritz and Vicky wish to welcome you to our private cabin (Kenny Lake Chalet) located between the Chugach and the Wrangell Mountain Ranges, in the quaint fertile farming community of Kenny Lake, 20 miles South of Copper Center. The cabin is set up to where you only need to bring the gear for your adventures, your clothes, and food. We can help you set up just about any adventure that you wish to experience while in the Copper Basin.
Now is the time to get your reservations in for those Fly-in fishing trips out of Valdez (90 min drive). Then there's these things to do in the Copper River Basin, hiking trails, Wildlife viewing, Bird watching, (Chich-a-dees, Nut Hatches, GrossBeaks, Eagles, etc...) Glacier viewing, seeing waterfalls, or for Artists that want that perfect view of the mountains to paint either from the front balcony or just up the road at Willow Lake pullout.. Or you can take a flight seeing trip out to McCarthy-Kennicot Mine, and drive back to Chitina by experiencing the trip by vehicle on the same road bed as the famous train (CR/NW). Come see a piece of Alaskan History the way it was.
Then in the winter time, there are flight seeing trips, Heli Skiing, snow machining, or snow boarding on Thomaspon Pass or snow-machining over the Kimball Pass, or the back side of the Chugach Mountains. There's ice climbing a short distance from here, in Keystone Canyon. Take a ride in the sled of a dog team, bird watching, painting, or just sit back and relax and watch nature out the picture windows. There's snowmachining, cross country skiing, dog sled rides, snow ball making and bon fires.
Or enjoy the music festival in July.
So come enjoy an adventure with marshmallows roasting over a bonfire with the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) viewing just over head (Winter time only). And if you desire to get back to nature, there is also the traditional Alaskan outhouse.
And if you have any questions we live right next door.

Why the Owner Chose Kenny Lake
My husband & I purchased this property from my parents, as they were leaving Alaska. This property is right next to where we live. We are the only neighbors for 1/2 mile.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Quite and serene quiteness. You can hear the birds sing and the squirrels chatter. If you are up early enough then you'll see the wild life in the front field. Such as Foxes, Moose, and Snowshoe Hares.

Many thanks to our great hosts! WE were able to take the snow machines and hit some trails in the area. Plenty of wildlife to see down the Copper River Trail, and the scenery alone is well worth the trip! We certainly hope to make it back soon.

Thanks so much. The kids enjoyed the swing, frog hunting and simply running free, enough that they needed a rest in the grass! We all enjoyed the "little fire" and smores.
