Our ski haus is located in the heart of Olympic Valley, less than 400 meters from the shops, restaurants, and ski lifts in The Village. No driving or shuttle buses necessary – walk or ski everywhere. Ski from the Sunnyside ski run down our private road right to the front door, kick off your skis, and put them on the ski rack in the entryway to the house. Then, grab a drink and warm up by the living room fireplace. Or have a soak in the spa on the 2nd floor outdoor deck and wave to the skiers riding up in the Squaw Valley USA Tram. Enjoy the serene forest views out of the living room window as there are no houses out back.
If you don’t downhill ski or snowboard, there is still plenty to do, with sledding just behind the house and great snowshoeing or cross-country skiing up Shirley Canyon or in the Olympic Valley Meadow. Walk to the Tram and ride it up to High Camp where you can enjoy amazing views, good food, ice skating, and more. In summer, there is lots of hiking and biking, floating and fishing the Truckee River, and golf at Squaw Creek Resort. Follow Squaw Ck and the Truckee River from the house to the Lake Tahoe Shore in Tahoe City (8 miles, 15 minutes by car), or to Truckee (11 miles, 20 minutes by car). Olympic Valley is 49 miles (1 hour by car) from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport and 210 miles (4-5 hours by car) from San Francisco International Airport.
