Welcome to our home in the heart of Squaw Valley! Our 3300 SF four bedroom home was completed in 2008.It combines modern luxury with old mountain style. The Great Room upstairs will amaze you with stunning views of Headwall and Squaw Peak.
Vaulted 20ft. cedar wood ceilings surround the focal point in the room--the grand gas stone and copper fireplace. Comfortable reclining leather couches invite you to snuggle up, or watch HDTV on the Plasma 55" big screen and Marantz Audio & DVD surround sound system. The gourmet kitchen boasts granite counter tops and knotty alder cabinets, and every luxury to make your stay comfy.Hickory wooden floors, knotty Alder and Cedar, stone and wrought iron throughout the home offer the warm feeling of a rustic lodge with the characteristics of old Tahoe charm.
Top Floor: The layout of the home is perfect for families and entertaining. The kitchen, dining and living room are open and connected, divided by a floor to ceiling rock fireplace. The master suite is upstairs offering privacy, and features a 4-poster Cal-king log bed. Just off the master is an additional sun room for reading or games. The master bath has unique his and her separate vanities, jetted bathtub and shower. Fine linens, down comforters, and handmade comfy quilts made by hand (me!)are all available for your comfort.
Bottom Floor: There are three bedrooms downstairs all with luxurious mattresses, some w/down featherbeds & comforters, others with heated mattress pads and handmade comforters. Master bedroom with a Cal-king bed,42" flat screen HDTV and DVD,ipod dock & clock and piano. Second bedroom with 2 queen beds, 26" flat screen HDTV and ipod dock & clock. Third bedroom features a twin over full hickory log bunk bed w/ an additional twin bed. Additional twin beds are available upon request ,but require 4 day advance notice. The separate bathroom, laundry room w/washer & dryer round out the downstairs.
Garage: The 2 car garage is attached with direct entry into the house. Additional parking is also available in front of garage.
Less than a mile from the Ski Resort and the Village at Squaw Valley, this location is perfect for year round activities. Situated only one block off the main road on a level street,(safe-easy winter driving) with a direct garage entrance into the house, our guests can enjoy peace and quiet with simple access to endless summer and winter skiing activities, shops and restaurants in Squaw Valley.

We just returned from a very enjoyable stay at Powder Moon. This home is accurately represented here in the photos and description. More importantly though, the owners of this home were very attentive, friendly, accomodating, and generous. They are honest and considerate. Prior to our stay, the owner mailed and emailed me with various brochures, maps, tour information, and area facts. In addition, the free ski equipment offered to all of the guests made this home a great bargain. Our equipment was perfect !! Great location, one mile from Squaw Valley slopes, and very close to Alpine, Heavenly, and Northstar resorts too. We skied them all! Highly recommend Powder Moon!

Our family just spent a week at Powder Moon and loved it. Pam and Mike are warm and accommodating hosts, and the house is charming and very cozy. Everything was immaculate, and Pam even put up a Christmas tree for us. If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay while enjoying the skiing or any other Tahoe activities, you won't be disappointed.

We really enjoyed our stay at Powder Moon Lodge. Beautiful home with all amenities, close to the ski lifts at Squaw, and ski rentals from Mt. Mike's were a plus. We had a great time and would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay in the Tahoe area. Mike and Pam were very helpful during our stay.

Powder Moon is a dream ski house! It is about a 2 minute drive to the Squaw Valley parking lot, about 15 minutes to the Alpine Meadows parking lot and the house itself is over the top -- lots of light, beautiful views of Squaw Valley, beautifully appointed, and plenty of room for our party of 10. We're definitely coming back here next year and will recommend it highly to friends!
