My husband and I stayed at the cottage on a not-rainy weekend in late January. We really enjoyed the cottage, which was spacious (for two) and light. We appreciated the exercise equipment and great coffee provided. And we LOVED the neighborhood. California street, with interesting restaurants and coffee shops, is just steps away; and the Alki beach waterfront is right down the hill. West Seattle is minutes from downtown by ferry or over the bridge so we found it easy to commute. The cottage has a separate entrance and parking so we did not see the owners (a plus in my book :)), though they were in touch to make sure we were comfortable. This may have been my favorite VRBO stay so far!Recommended for: Pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.

My wife & I stayed at the cottage for 6 days. Close to everything. Good on site parking and very private. We have family nearby, and had our grandchildren stay with us on alternate nights. Much fun. Cottage well appointed, clean, nature lite w/many skylights & cozy. Murphy bed efficient for space, but not very comfortable. Recommend replacing the mattress. TV good for Netflix, but no reception, which is a real negative for this avid football fan. Recommend subscribing to cable. Would recommend to others if mattress and TV upgraded.Recommended for: Age 55+.

Had the opportunity to stay in this wonderful cottage for four days and loved every moment of it. This is truly a hidden diamond in West Seattle. Clean, comfortable, well appointed, and decorated. There is lots of natural light from multiple sky lights, french doors that opened onto a wonderful flagstone garden area, and parking right outside the front door. We were walking distance to California Ave and enjoyed exploring the surrounding neighborhood. The area home were neat , tidy, and well landscaped which made for very enjoyable walks, photo opportunities, and relaxing strolls with my dog and grandson. Thank you again to the host and his family for the wonderful hospitality. Oh, did I mention that the kitchen area was appointed with toaster, microwave, coffee makes and hot water dispenser? Included in the kitchen were dishes, silverware, and a small refrigerator (no freezer). A good bargain for where it is located and the wonder appointment of the cottage. The picture does not do it justice. See and enjoy.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.

My wife, 6 year-old daughter, yellow lab and I all really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and got wonderful light from the many skylights. The owners were gracious and helpful, providing us with excellent tips about events and highlights in the West Seattle neighborhood. They recommended an outdoor concert at the local park that was a highlight for our daughter. The weather was amazing (late Aug.) and we had many nice days at Alki Beach. If there was one downside for us, it was that Seattle in general and Alki specifically weren't as dog welcoming to our outgoing, water-loving lab. But that's certainly not the fault of the owners and this would be an ideal place for couples or small families traveling with small pets.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing.

A wonderful cottage. Close to beach, good grocery, and restaurants. I have family in the area, and it was a perfect place for me to stay. I have nothing but great reviews, though I am not certain I would be comfortable there with four people. Two seems like plenty, though if I were young and in love, maybe four would be ok, :) Hosts are completely attentive and answer all questions very promptly. I would stay again a heartbeat.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Cottage was absolutely lovely and very comfortable. Eric, the host, was responsive and friendly. Bus connection to downtown was super, less than a block away and fast service. Easy walk to conveniences like coffee shop, restaurants, grocery. We would stay there again and would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a convenient spot for a home-base while vacationing or on short-stay business to Seattle. Close to the city but with charm of a beach town.Owner response: Thank you Mary. We strive to provide a quiet and cozy space for visitors who are looking for something more comfortable than a hotel but with all the same conveniences. We really appreciate your taking the time to write a review and hope we see you again on your next trip to Seattle!

This was the perfect location for my husband to stay while I attended classes at the downtonw UW. The bus service to this area was great. We loved the variety of resturants that were close by. The frigerator and microwave were just what we needed when we didn't want to go out for a full meal. Our dog enjoyed walks in the pleasant neighbor hood and on the path by the beach. We will definitley return again. Thanks Eric for such an enjoyable stay!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+.

Very nice place. Clean inside and thoughtful touches such as Netflix and local coffee. Close to Alki beach but not too close so our parking wasn't crowded out. Restaurants within walking distance. Quick drive to Seattle but again without the city parking fees, traffic and crowds. Very comfortable bed and my dog was welcome.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

Lovely cottage on quiet street. Needs to repair the gas stove. Small shower. Owners were distant but friendly and made themselves available. Close to shops by foot and Alki beach with a car.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had an awesome time this sweet cottage. It became our home away from home. Dog friendly. Eric was so accommodating. We had all the amenities we needed, and the area was just perfect with walking distance restaurants and shops. A very dog friendly neighborhood. It is close to downtown (a short drive or ferry) without the noise, beautiful nearby scenic skyline. Close to the beach. Must go places near to the cottage for us were Cafe Nouveau, Husky Deli, A Terrible Beauty. Thanks Eric and hope to return when we get back!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, age 55+, sightseeing.
