  This was our first vacation to Costa Rica and will definitely come back. Once we got use to no street signs or addresses it was great. We loved the house and the area where the house is located, peaceful and very relaxing. The house was as Christine described and thank you for returning my deposit so quickly. Thanks to the wonderful neighbor Richard- we were able to do adventures and experience restaurants we may not have found ourselves.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

  We had a wonderful stay for 2 weeks at Villa Margurita with our two teenage daughters. The sandy beach was beautiful and the ocean was very warm. The sunsets were amazing. We felt very much at home in the rental house as it had all the amenities of home, and the best part was the pool. Started our mornings at the beach and ended the afternoons at the pool. Chris who owns the house was wonderful to assist us in anything. She arranged for my husband and daughter to go fishing with a close neighbour and also arranged for us to go on a Mangroves tour which was amazing with the monkeys. Costa Rica is a beautiful country and this house is located in a central location which made most travel trips fairly close. Even drove down to Panama for cheap duty free shopping, which was a bit longer of a drive, but well worth it as we got to see even more of this beautiful country. We also enjoyed sitting in restaurants in Parritta, and watching the daily activities of the people. Parritta was a neat little town. I would definately return as we have done plenty of all inclusives, and this was more like our own peaceful paradise.

  I have stayed at this property twice with my family, each time for a truly blissful week. The location is ideal as you can simply wander out of the door and straight onto the beautiful, deserted beach. Or you can have lunch out on the veranda watching and listening to the waves. Having your own pool is fantastic and you can lose a week easily just soaking, sunbathing on the poolside, strolling in the garden, beachcombing or body-boarding. We didn't notice any bars or restaurants in the surrounding area but (with two young children) the peace and quiet suited our needs perfectly. There are nice day trips that can be done, indeed Manuel Antonio National Park is an easy drive, and there was lots of information in the house about other things to do. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and was very informative. All-in-all I highly recommend this place: I think it represents great value for money, and I hope to return sometime soon!

  A truly wonderful experience twice. First tour in 2009. 300# blue marlin and 100# sailfish. 2010 went fishing in estero with some locals at the end of the island. Nothing real large but plenty of keepers. The villa is a great place to kick back and relax. The swimming pool and the property is very well maintained and a very relaxing place to lounge around. Monkeys at the entrance to the island everyday. Truly a beautiful place to see and experience. Chris is very easy to deal with and a wealth of knowledge. Do give this one a serious consideration if you are planning a trip to Costa Rica. The new highway from San Jose airport makes it a quick ride to the Villa. Breathtaking scenery along the way is unsurpassed. Terry, Jay, Pam and Eric
