Our family stayed for a delightful week at Chuck's cabin home. It's everything as described on the site and we had absolutely no bad experiences. If you have kids they'll be thrilled by the birds, coyotes, and raccoons that are in the nearby forest. Chuck has the business side of the rental well organized, is accommodating, and is eager with suggestions to make your stay a great experience. I wouldn't hesitate at all in renting the cabin again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

A perfect tahoe location...away from the crowds, plenty of Forest Service land to explore but close enough for a nightly run to the fun of Stateline. The cabin is set up great for families with a room for the kids with bunkbeds, air hocky and their own entertainment center. This leaves the entire downstairs free for relaxing with a glass of wine around the woodstove or reading quietly on the sofa. Hot tup on the back deck has great views of the pines and stars. I recommend this place for anyone wanting a quick weekend getaway!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1978
About the owner: Hi! My name is Chuck White and I have visited and lived at Lake Tahoe for over 35 years. I spent 30 years as a volunteer for the National Ski Patrol and have skied virtually every downhill resort and back country terrain in the Lake Tahoe area. I have hiked, fished and skied over most of the Tahoe Sierra Region. Tell me what you want to do during your visit to Lake Tahoe and let me "be your guide". I am a registered professional civil engineer and have been working for almost 40 years on environmental issues in California and the west.
Why the Owner Chose Tahoe Paradise:
I originally purchased this property when I was living at Lake Tahoe in the late 70's and have maintained it as a second home and a rental property since 1982. Chuck's Tahoe Apache Cabin is ideally located in a quiet subdivision with great winter access and near both Heavenly Valley and Sierra-At-Tahoe Ski areas. Easy access to shopping and a myriad of outdoor activities.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet:
Enjoy the peaceful mountain setting and adjacent meadow while relaxing in the hot tub. Play croquet on the back yard in spring summer and fall. Go hiking on the 60 acres of adjoining US Forest Service land and discover the narrow gage railway grade that was used in the 1800's. Short 10-20 minute drives to the back country, world-class skiing, rock-climbing, nightclubs, casinos and, of course, fabulous Lake Tahoe.
