This home is exactly as described. Our party of five had absolutely no complaints. Everything we needed had already been provided! The back deck was our main focal point and was a great place for our meals. You won't be disappointed if you need a relaxing place to unwind from the cares of life. Hiking up the paved road was a real challenge and treat, but coming down was a bit more restful. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us.

Wow is the first word that comes to mind when stepping out and seeing the amazing view from the balcony. We were not prepared for all this home had to offer, from the well equipped kitchen to its location for all amenities & stunning scenery. The home was very clean and maintained to a high standard that sets it apart from many others. The pictures do not do the home justice but it was what we expected from them and the description. It would have been so easy to spend all our time just relaxing on the balcony, just taking in the wildlife and admiring the scenery. It is hard to believe how different the daybreaks and sunsets were every day, to the extent we were up waiting for the dawn each morning. There was plenty to do within an acceptable drive and in particular we enjoyed our excursion south to the Anna Ruby Falls and the Brasstown Bald with the amazing 360 views out to Tennessee, the Carolinas and Georgia. Having travelled from the UK, this was a short taster excursion for us from our vacation home that we have in Orlando. It has certainly encouraged us to look at making similar trips in the future to see different areas of the USA. The trip was also responsible for introducing us to ‘hot boiled peanuts’ something we have not previously experienced, but look forward to having again, when the opportunity arises.

LOTS of room to kick back and relax. Loved that every bedroom had a king size bed and full bath too. The deck runs the full back of the house with amazing views! Has everything you could want in cookware and utensils. The homeowner even keeps a few staples on hand. I would highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to get away to the mountains with access to various great day trip locations and the ability to fish, boat and swim in the warmer months. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed at this property for a week the middle of June 2011. The owner write-up is accurate in every detail and the home is comfortable, spacious, and fully furnished. The owner goes over and above in trying to make sure you are pleased. The views overlooking the lake and mountains is understated-not to mention the sunsets. You are about equal distance between Hiawassee, Ga. and Hayesville, N.C. The mountain subdivision is very quiet and safe. The home will easily house three couples since all three bedrooms have a bath and king bed. The kitchen along with the house is modern. The central location makes it a perfect place for various types of day trips. We had no problems of any type and we hope to come again.

We enjoyed the relaxation on the deck overlooking Lake Chatuge. The home is well equipped and very clean. Great location and close to all the restaurants and activities in Hiawassee. You are in bear territory; keep the garbage cans latched! We hope to be able to come back again. Thanks Christine.

My husband and I, and his two brothers and their wives, rented this house for our yearly reunion in April. We had a wonderful time - hardly left the house except to eat one good meal out each day. We found the house lacking in nothing. It was clean, and inviting, and very well supplied - probably the best of any house we ever rented. We loved the landscaping and the beautiful spring weather and spent a lot of time on the wonderful porch/deck.

We used this wonderful home as our base while we searched the area for our own mountain home. I racked my brain trying to think of something that the owner could do to make this a better rental, and could not. If you want to relax and have a luxury get away, whatever you could possibly want is nearby. If you want to cook a huge meal, or have a cup of coffee and piece of toast, you can do either here. The kitchen is ready for you. The view is fabulous, hard to believe that a home with such easy access and great roads could also have that view. We were lucky enough to have a full moon shinning on the lake. The beds are so comfortable it made it hard to roll out in the morning. The owner is full of information on the area. Great dining and fun shopping right down the street. Terrific home, lovely views, sparkling clean, and helpful owner. This is THE home to rent.

Christine, We had a wonderful stay at your home this past week. It is equipped with everything that we wanted or needed and was furnished very comfortably. Even though it rained several days it didn't bother us at all. We loved the peaceful setting and the view of the lake is absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed the deck on the cool mountain mornings and in the evenings. We have rented many places in Hiawassee and Murphy but your home is the best so far. It is so conveniently located with only a short drive to Hiawassee or Murphy. We are looking forward to coming back next year or before then if we get the chance. Thank you so much! The Kelly's

Dear Christine, Just got home from five days and nights at your home, and we absolutely loved the house. Everything we needed was at our fingertips, the house was beautifully decorated, and the view from the deck -- WOW!! Words can't describe the gorgeous sunsets and the fog shrouded mornings that we watched from your rocking chairs. We look forward to returning in the near future for some more rest and relaxation at "Chrissie's Folly". P.S. We had a visit from one of your local bears the morning we left. We didn't actually see the bear, but we hear it rummaging around in the outside trash cans, and discovered it had opened the cans, got a large trashbag out, and spread it all over the side yard. Staying at this home is truly like "being at home". It is so comfortable and accomodating. The view from the deck is truly breath- taking any time of day, but most especially at sunset. The location is great; it is quiet and close to so much that is available to be enjoyed. We truly loved our time there and hope to stay again.

Wow! Words can hardly describe what a great time we had staying in your beautiful home. The pictures don't do it justice! We loved the floor plan...every bedroom was separate from the others and had its own bathroom...perfect for our extended family! The house was so well-stocked that it felt like home. The view was indescribable and the large deck out back was awesome. We had several fun day trips, tubing in Helen (a blast!), fishing at a trout farm and picnicing on the lake. We certainly plan to return and to recommend it to our friends.

This had to be one of our best vacations ever!!! this house is spectacular. View is beyond what we had ever anticipated, your black binder filled with places to visit helped us plan our week. It is pretty hard to be original here as both the view of the lake and the warmth of your home are incomparable. The sunsets from the balcony rival the most beautiful we have ever seen. We golfed, hiked, picniced, fished, boated, explored and lounged in this heaven touched corner of the world. We came stressed and weary, but leave revived and already planning our schedule for a return visit. From the deserts of Iraq to these American Mountians. I fought real hard-as did my familly to sit here on this porch and enjoy priceless beauty. My wife cried with joy upon entry of this home. We got alot more than what we expected. It was really nice to have so much quiet to get to know your family again, and to thank God for letting me Come Back Home. This house isn't just a house but a home away from home. It is wonderfully comfortable. The beds sleep great, the bathrooms are large enough, the kitchen has everything you need to fix a small dinner to a large feast, the back deck looking out onto the mountains and lake is breathtaking. The sunsets alone off that deck are enough to make the trip. We had a refreshing, fun, and relaxing vacation thanks to Christine sharing her home with us. We will be looking for time to go back as soon as we can. I have been renting online for 4 years now at least 3 times a year and I have never rented a house that made me feel so at home. Wow!!! What a great week !!! It was wonderful weather all week. Warm afternoons, sunny days, clear skies & cool evenings. Then it snowed on Sunday morning when we got up. The house is just perfect. You have privacy yet plenty of common area to spend time with family. As for restaurants, you just can't beat the Country Cottage in Hayesville. or the Dillard House in Dillard GA. We have really loved our stay here. Your home is awesome, such great views. The leaves changing are so beautiul, we hate to leave. Jason & Herb have played Mountian Harbor golf course in Hayesville, NC three days in a row & really enjoyed it, and it is only 10 minutes away!!!! Christine, We loved your new home and the beautiful lakeview. It is very convienent to all the roads which take you to the Highland, Dillsboro or Helen. We had a wonderful time and relaxed. The weather grew colder as the week wore on, so got to experiece the fall weather and enjoy a fire each evening. Definately looking forward to the next October when we come back to visit.
