  The view alone is worth it. The house worked perfectly for us. It's close to everything, yet secluded and private. Saw a bald eagle sitting on the back lawn, sea otters and/or seals swimming by. Sitting outside and stargazing was tranquil! Everyone in our family loved it, from the grandparents to the almost 2 year old. Galyn's in Bar Harbor was the best burger I've ever had, and for the kids, I recommend the Oceanarium which minutes away, and in Acadia, Ship Harbor Trail which lead to a rocky giant tide pool filled with sea stars, snails, urchins, and even a lobster. The worst thing I can say about Majestic Point was that we couldn't find a wine bottle opener;so , yeah, everything was great!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  A fantastic location, gorgeous views, and lots of room, both inside and out. Plenty of privacy available, as well many spaces for family and friends to gather for conversation, games and meals. Tastefully decorated, clean, well maintained. Acadia National Park is only minutes away. An ideal spot for amateur photographers. The pictures posted don't do it justice. The owner is very accomodating and easy to work with.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful place with us. 2 families (one of 4 + one of 6) enjoyed the waterfront and all the wildlife it brings. The tides were spectacular. Walking in low tide (right off the house) we found starfish, crabs, lots of snails, anemoneas, sandollars, sea urchines and even saw seals. Sea Kayaking is a must, the Maine landscape is simply stunning. It's sad to be leaving, but our stay here was unforgettable. Thank you!

  Our multi-generation family had a fantastic vacation here at Majestic Point. The beauty that surrounds this home is beyond description. The eagle, seal, and porpoise sightings were a special gift, too.

  We rented this property for the week of my 50th birthday as "home base" for our family reunion. Everything about our stay was perfect, even the weather! The beach is rocky, but our two littlest visitors (age 4 and 2) had a great time down by the water. I would have been content to sit and look at the water all week, but others in the family enjoyed hiking at Acadia, shopping in Bar Harbor, eating at the local lobster pound. The property owner was so excellent with communication, she even called us the day we arrived to make sure everything was ok and answer any questions. All amenities for a home away from home experience in a setting only God could create! We rented Kayaks for 2 days from a local business that delivered and picked them up and paddled to the island across the way to see eagles, seals....I would not change a thing and would definitely recommend this home away rental property to anyone!

  We had a terrific vacation. What a special spot! We awakened to the birds each morning and capped off fun-filled days with spectacular sunsets and nightime stargazing. Many thanks to Mary Neville for making it all possible.
