The flat is located in one of San Francisco's best neighborhoods. Noe Valley is a very safe, quiet, walker & child friendly neighborhood.
The rental is in the lower unit of our 1902 Victorian duplex. The flat is 1000 square feet with 2 bedrooms & 1 bath.
SLEEPING SPACE:
The front bedroom has a queen sized bed with a soft rug under foot, soothing blue walls, a dresser and good sized closet. This room can sleep two adults.
The second bedroom located in the back of the house has a queen sized bed, two nights stands with lamps, soft area rug, soothing paint color, a dresser and smaller closet. This room also sleeps two adults.
There is additional sleeping space by way of our daybed with a pull out trundle underneath. The top of the daybed has a twin bed and the pull out trundle also has a twin bed. The daybed is located in the main living room area and can sleep 2 comfortably.
MAIN LIVING AREAS:
When you first walk in the door you will see the formal dining room with a large dining table and seating for up to 8 guests on your right. To you left would be the first bedroom (the blue bedroom). As you move forward you would enter the main living area, which is a double sized room half with a comfy sofa, flat screen 37" tv with digital cable (HBO Showtime, Cinemax, Encore & Starz) and a lounge chair with ottoman. The other side has a large daybed with trundle.
At the back of the house is the kitchen on your right the back bedroom on your left and the bathroom in between the two.
We also have a JPMA certified crib as well as a booster seat that we can provide for your child/children free of charge-just let us know what you need.
The flat is very easy to live in and very comfortable. There is forced air heating for those nippy San Francisco nights and plenty of extra blankets for snuggling up after hours and watching a movie.
AMENITY DETAILS:
We provide all bath & bed linens, pots & pans, digital cable with HBO,Showtime, Cinemax, Starz, Encore & free WIFI. We also provide a hairdryer, ironing board, iron, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, toilet paper & paper towels & cleaning supplies. There is a laundry facility in the basement that is shared with the upstairs rental unit. The laundry area is accessed through the back yard from a door leading off the kitchen.

In addition to our lower unit (Casa de Julia) we have an upper unit Casa Feliz. The upper unit also has1000 square feet, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom as well as views-since it is on the 2nd floor. If you like what you see at Casa de Julia you will love our new rental "Casa Feliz". Casa Feliz sleeps 4 persons max and is not suitable for small children or physically challenged persons-there are about 20 stairs leading up to the front door.

NEIGHBORHOOD DETAILS:
The flat is very private and is in the best neighborhood in San Francisco- Noe Valley. Noe Valley is a highly regarded neighborhood known for being walker friendly, having beautiful Victorian architecture everywhere you turn, sunny weather most of the year, being full of children & very family friendly. Noe Valley is a warm & inviting neighborhood that is a world unto itself.
Only 3 blocks away from our flat is 24th Street where there are endless restaurants, pizza parlors, coffee shops, bakeries, bagel houses, grocery stores & pubs as well as a newly built Whole Foods organic market. 24th Street also has great shopping with exotic multicultural stores, jewelry shops, books stores, novelty stores...the list goes on and on. You must come and explore for yourself to see what treasures you might find in our fair neighborhood.
We are also just 8 blocks walk to the center of the Castro neighborhood. The Castro is a lively vibrant area full of shops, eateries & endless people watching opportunities.

- We do not have any private parking available, but we are in a residential neighborhood where there is free street parking with no parking permits required, no parking meters, no 2 hour parking limits, no 4-6pm tow away zones-just good old fashioned street parking...and we are in a very safe neighborhood for walking day or night-also a great location if you don't have a car as we are very closet to public transportation.

I was born and raised in the Noe Valley neighborhood of San Francisco in the upper unit of this house. My mother and I lived upstairs and my grandmother (Julia) lived downstairs. Hence, Casa de Julia.
Why the Owner Chose Noe Valley
This house has been in my family since the 1940's and was passed down to me from my wonderful grandmother.

We stayed here for two weeks and the place really felt like home. The house is in great condition and has everything you need to keep a family running. The kitchen has all the things you might need and the laundry is a great help if you have kids. The area is really nice. You are close to the 24th street shops and a Whole Foods, great delivery pizza and coffee at Bernie's. It is also really close to transport. The wireless internet and tv is great. From the back yard you have a nice view down the hill of the rest of Noe. We slept 6 (2 young children and 4 adults) comfortably. We would stay here again and again. Wendy was very accommodating and responsive to all our needs and inquiries.

This home far exceeded my expectations. There was a total of 5 of us (me, my husband, and 3 teenagers) and it accommodated us perfectly. It is a wonderful place in the middle of a beautiful tree lined street in a fantastic neighborhood. Everything is within walking distance. We walked to the Whole Foods that is in the middle of the neighborhood to buy some snacks for the house. Wendy was great too! Before our stay she emailed me suggestions and directions to restaurants and shops in the neighborhood and ways to get around San Francisco with public transportation. I have already recommended this home to all my friends and family because this is where I would stay everytime I visit SF! Thanks again Wendy for sharing your home with us!

We loved staying at Casa de Julia! The location and Noe Valley neighborhood were awesome. We had never been to Noe Valley and just loved it. The neighborhood was super quiet (we live in the mountains so any noise is noticeable) safe, and warm, with good parking available. We loved walking down to 24th Street for shopping and eats. The flat is nicely appointed with plenty of towels, updated bedding, a fully equipped kitchen, and easy-to-use electronics. Wendy was always prompt, professional, and friendly with all correspondence, which is always appreciated! We would definitely stay here again, and recommend this to friends as well. We just returned from our stay at Casa de Julia and I have to say I really enjoyed the place. The location is amazing, the flat itself is very comfortable and had all the things we needed. My husband, myself, two kids and grandma all stayed together in the flat and it worked out very, very well. We would have paid a fortune in a hotel and not been nearly as comfortable and we wouldn't have been staying all in the same place. I'll definitely be back and stay here, it's a great spot, cozy location at a great price. Thanks for being you Casa de Julia!

We just left Casa de Julia and I really wish we could have stayed longer-7 days just wasn't enough time... Very comfortable living room, good dining room space, kitchen worked for small meals & snacks, WIFI was great speed, TV & cable no complaints, comfortable sleeping accommodations for all and good water pressure-a must for me! The owner was great she made the transaction very easy and when we asked gave us a great list of kid friendly things to do- so many that we didn't have enough time to get to all of them and that's a first first for us. The deposit was returned right away and I'm talking the same day we checked out so no complaints there. Very smooth. We loved the neighborhood and being able to walk down for breakfast in the morning. There is a Starbucks, Pete's Coffee, a bank, breakfast diner and women's clothes shopping all exactly three blocks from the apartment-who could want anything more! All in all I just had a great time, the weather was great, the place was great-I still have a smile on my face. This round was my husband, myself and my two children, but we plan on coming back with my parents for a second round. I would recommend to all. Thank you so much Casa de Julia and Wendy you really made our vacation something wonderful.

My family and I (five total) recently stayed at Case de Julia in the Noe Valley neighborhood. It was wonderful! It was a short walk to the "muni" and had restataunts, shops and groceries all with-in the same walking distance. Our daughter (6) enjoyed running down the hills each morning and afternoon. The home was clean and spacious for all us. The beds were very comfortable and linens very clean! We had access to laundry, so we took advantage and packed lighter. The neighborhood was quiet and we never felt unsafe at any time of day. I highly recommend Casa de Julia for anyone looking to stay in a homelike setting, away from the crowds of San Francisco.

Casa de Julia is an excellent base for exploring S.F. The whole family (two adults and two kids, 18 and 20) liked it. Good public transport, really nice and peaceful neighborhood with restaurants and shops within walking distance, and close to other interesting areas like Castro and Mission. Quiet street, fully equipped kitchen. We had a great time!

A group of 6 adults--3 of us were young adult children (ages 20-24)- thoroughly enjoyed our stay in San Francisco using this flat as our home base. The 2 bedrooms were spacious enough and the beds very comfortable. the day bed in the living room worked out great for 2 of the young adults...they liked staying up late and watching the flat screen TV (LOTS of choices of channels!!). The location of this flat is wonderful..quick access to buses and the light rail. The neighborhood was very safe and was indeed a family neighborhood. We enjoyed 24th street (3 blocks away)...lots of restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay!

My family and I vacation here in February 2010 and were very pleased. The apartment was very clean, spatious, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking (pots, pans, salad spinner, ice cream scooper! etc), the bedding was comfortable and the neighborhood was really nice. The apartment is very close to the bus line, 3 1/2 blocks walk and to the electric car line 4 or 5 blocks walk. We had a great time in the apartment and walking the neighborhood, lots of good restuarants really close. We plan on returning next year. Also, renting was quite easy and the deposit was refunded 2 days after we left..impressive!Keep up the good work Casa de Julia!
