Great stay! We were a group of 5 including 2 small kids (1yr & 4.5yrs), and I must say that this place was fully equipped. It was very clean and comfortable, and the area was safe and conveniently located. Every morning we walked to the Noe Valley bakery to get fresh pastries and coffee...so good! We also picked up some groceries at the nearby Wholefoods and cook dinner a few times during the week we were there. It was also extremely pleasant dealing with Wendy. She was friendly, quick, and helpful at all times. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We hope to be back soon!

It was really veru comfortable and clean. We had a great time in the city and in the house. The owner was very helpful and organized, The neighbourhood was very quiet and a very nice place to rest. This home far exceeded my expectations. There was a total of 5 of us (me, my husband, and 3 teenagers) and it accommodated us perfectly. It is a wonderful place in the middle of a beautiful tree lined street in a fantastic neighborhood. Everything is within walking distance. We walked to the Whole Foods that is in the middle of the neighborhood to buy some snacks for the house. Wendy was great too! Before our stay she emailed me suggestions and directions to restaurants and shops in the neighborhood and ways to get around San Francisco with public transportation. I have already recommended this home to all my friends and family because this is where I would stay everytime I visit SF! Thanks again Wendy for sharing your home with us!

Amazing neighborhood

We loved staying at Casa de Julia! The location and Noe Valley neighborhood were awesome. We had never been to Noe Valley and just loved it. The neighborhood was super quiet (we live in the mountains so any noise is noticeable) safe, and warm, with good parking available. We loved walking down to 24th Street for shopping and eats. The flat is nicely appointed with plenty of towels, updated bedding, a fully equipped kitchen, and easy-to-use electronics. Wendy was always prompt, professional, and friendly with all correspondence, which is always appreciated! We would definitely stay here again, and recommend this to friends as well. Thank you, Wendy...you and your property are what makes VRBO so successful.

We just returned from our stay at Casa de Julia and I have to say I really enjoyed the place. The location is amazing, the flat itself is very comfortable and had all the things we needed. My husband, myself, two kids and grandma all stayed together in the flat and it worked out very, very well. We would have paid a fortune in a hotel and not been nearly as comfortable and we wouldn't have been staying all in the same place. I'll definitely be back and stay here, it's a great spot, cozy location at a great price. Thanks for being you Casa de Julia!

great space, even greater neighborhood

We just left Casa de Julia and I really wish we could have stayed longer-7 days just wasn't enough time... Very comfortable living room, good dining room space, kitchen worked for small meals & snacks, WIFI was great speed, TV & cable no complaints, comfortable sleeping accommodations for all and good water pressure-a must for me! The owner was great she made the transaction very easy and when we asked gave us a great list of kid friendly things to do- so many that we didn't have enough time to get to all of them and that's a first first for us. The deposit was returned right away and I'm talking the same day we checked out so no complaints there. Very smooth. We loved the neighborhood and being able to walk down for breakfast in the morning. There is a Starbucks, Pete's Coffee, a bank, breakfast diner and women's clothes shopping all exactly three blocks from the apartment-who could want anything more! All in all I just had a great time, the weather was great, the place was great-I still have a smile on my face. This round was my husband, myself and my two children, but we plan on coming back with my parents for a second round. I would recommend to all. Thank you so much Casa de Julia and Wendy you really made our vacation something wonderful.

Fun with the Family

My family and I (five total) recently stayed at Case de Julia in the Noe Valley neighborhood. It was wonderful! It was a short walk to the "muni" and had restataunts, shops and groceries all with-in the same walking distance. Our daughter (6) enjoyed running down the hills each morning and afternoon. The home was clean and spacious for all us. The beds were very comfortable and linens very clean! We had access to laundry, so we took advantage and packed lighter. The neighborhood was quiet and we never felt unsafe at any time of day. I highly recommend Casa de Julia for anyone looking to stay in a homelike setting, away from the crowds of San Francisco.

Casa de Julia is an excellent base for exploring S.F. The whole family (two adults and two kids, 18 and 20) liked it. Good public transport, really nice and peaceful neighborhood with restaurants and shops within walking distance, and close to other interesting areas like Castro and Mission. Quiet street, fully equipped kitchen. We had a great time!

A group of 6 adults--3 of us were young adult children (ages 20-24)- thoroughly enjoyed our stay in San Francisco using this flat as our home base. The 2 bedrooms were spacious enough and the beds very comfortable. the day bed in the living room worked out great for 2 of the young adults...they liked staying up late and watching the flat screen TV (LOTS of choices of channels!!). The location of this flat is wonderful..quick access to buses and the light rail. The neighborhood was very safe and was indeed a family neighborhood. We enjoyed 24th street (3 blocks away)...lots of restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay!

Excellent Home Away From Home

If you're looking for a comfortable alternative to high priced hotels in San Francisco, particularly in a quiet and quaint section of town, you couldn't ask for much more than what you get at Casa Julia. Renter was extremely helpful and accommodating. Always easy to reach and always helpful. The house was just the right size for our family of five. And we had an excellent home base for our week long excursion to SF. We rented a car to get around the area, but if we were sticking to SF proper, we would have done fine with relying on public transportation alone. Tons of eating and shopping options within easy walking distance. If you are renting a car, I recommend renting one that is on the short side. There is free street parking, but trying to squeeze my rented mini-van in some of the available spots was periodically a challenge. Not an insurmountable challenge, but a challenge nonetheless.

My family and I vacation here in February 2010 and were very pleased. The apartment was very clean, spatious, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking (pots, pans, salad spinner, ice cream scooper! etc), the bedding was comfortable and the neighborhood was really nice. The apartment is very close to the bus line, 3 1/2 blocks walk and to the electric car line 4 or 5 blocks walk. We had a great time in the apartment and walking the neighborhood, lots of good restuarants really close. We plan on returning next year. Also, renting was quite easy and the deposit was refunded 2 days after we left..impressive!Keep up the good work Casa de Julia!

We stayed here for two weeks and the place really felt like home. The house is in great condition and has everything you need to keep a family running. The kitchen has all the things you might need and the laundry is a great help if you have kids. The area is really nice. You are close to the 24th street shops and a Whole Foods, great delivery pizza and coffee at Bernie's. It is also really close to transport. The wireless internet and tv is great. From the back yard you have a nice view down the hill of the rest of Noe. We slept 6 (2 young children and 4 adults) comfortably. We would stay here again and again. Wendy was very accommodating and responsive to all our needs and inquiries.

My family & I stayed here in September 09 and we absolutely loved it. First off we were in San Francisco when it was really sunny and that alone was fantastic, what a beautiful city! We were so happy in the neighborhood, we walked everwhere and even went to the Whole Foods market on opening day-what a treat! The flat worked perfectly for our group. The layout is good, the beds are comfortable, the linens were soft, liked the pillows, great TV, free wifi-we have nothing bad to say about the place! Our stay was terrific and we will be back next year in the Fall & we are hoping for great weather again. Thanks Casa de Julia!

My family and I had a great stay at this Noe Valley home. I was completely comfortable with having my 2 young sons with us in a beautiful friendly neighborhood! We were in a decent walking distance of many shops and bus stops that were very easy to access the entire city. We will be staying here again when we visit next. Also, there were great resturants that provide amazing food by delivery! The home was very clean and all we could have asked for was provided. Over all we had a great stay and are anxiously awaiting our next trip to this beautiful city!

We stayed here in July 2009, and had a wonderful time. Casa de Julia is in a lovely, trendy, family friendly neighbourhood. We wnejoyed the local restaurants and shops, and used the well equipped kitchen, The wireless internet and cable TV worked flawlessly. We would be very happy to stay here again!

Our family of four stayed for one week and we were very pleased with the flat. Quiet,self-contained and two blocks from the neighborhood shops, cafes, and restaurants. Public transport about 5-10 minutes stroll away. A safe residential area. Perfect for the longer stay in San Francisco.

This Noe Valley rental was everything the website posted it as. It is very well maintained and spic n span clean! The owner was very prompt in responding from the initital interest down to returning the security deposit. The property is very charming from the moment you walk in the front door. Once you walk in the front door, you are in the dining room and a bedroom with queen bed is to the left. Continue into the living room, which has a couch, chair and daybed (very comfy) with a trundle bed below. Nice TV with cable. From the living room you can enter from the left to the other bedroom with a queen bed or enter to the right and you are in the kitchen. The bath is between the bedroom and kitchen. Great water pressure for showers ! Plenty of bath towels, pillows on the beds, kitchen untensils, pots and pans. Everything was in great working condition. Very nice decor....I especially like the table next to the daybed ! The use of the washer and dryer was a nice bonus also. It was very comforting to know that at the end of the day we would be able to kick back and enjoy the evening in a very relaxing atmosphere. Can't do that in a hotel room especially if traveling with family! The only thing that was a slight negative, but not enough to keep me from renting again, was the street parking. It is typical street parking in San Francisco. Hope and pray you find something within a block. This neighborhood is quiet and the rental car was perfectly safe. the apartment was pretty cute and conveniently located so it worked well for our family. the owner was nice and very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay, including a crib for our little one. however, there are a few things that left a little to be desired that i'd definitely change if it were my place: softer/better bedding; more shelving, hooks, and/or storage in bathroom and kitchen; and a more inviting backyard space (i.e., dog-free, debris picked up, seating) or an explanation that it is off limits and not for guest's use. the things i liked were the big, family-style dining room and the space between the two bedrooms (good for an extended family stay). and, of course, the neighborhood is perfect...close to everything you might need (cafes, restaurants, groceries, shops) and the train into the city.

We stayed in this lovely place for 5 days in April. The neighborhood is safe and the homes are beautiful. Parking is available on the street or on other nearby streets. Savor restaurant on 24th Street was great for breakfast - sit on the outdoor patio. Safeway grocery store with 2 miles. Would love to stay here again!!

We just left and wanted to thank you for such a great place. We loved 24th Street-ate there all the time-it's stays open soooo late??!! It was really great. We toured the entire city and it was great to be able to come back to a safe neighborhood no matter what time of night. For two women traveling it made all the difference. I was looking for a comfortable home base from which to explore the finer points of San Francisco and boy did I make the right decision. The wife & kids loved being able to get up and walk 3 blocks to shop, eat, do whatever-while I caught up on my beauty sleep..lol We had a great time and everyone liked the location. We stayed over the holidays and loved the flat. We got a great price and didn't know what to expect..we were very surprised and pleased at the comfort level and the location that was so great. Public transportation was so close and we came home late night and weren't worried about safety-what a treat! My husband and I plan to come back for 09, because the place was really comfortable and because the owner was so helpful with advise on where to go-how to get there-etc.. All in all it was a great experience and I recommend it to anyone coming to San Francisco who does not want to be in the tourist areas.

The house was truly lovely and very comfortable. The beds are very soft with beautiful linens. The location is also wonderful as there are several shops and restaurants within easy strolling distance. We will be back for sure!

I loved this flat in S.F. My girl friend and I had a great time in this comfortable location. The bedrooms are far enough apart so that we had privacy and the living room is huge! I was so surprised. We had plenty of room to hang out in the house or hide away in our respective rooms. We were walking distance to all kinds of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and shopping!! We didn't even need our rental car and ended up returning it early. It was just great and we are definitely coming back to San Francisco and staying at Casa De Julia. Thanks Wendy!

We stayed at Casa De Julia in November 2008 for 5 nights and had a great time. The flat is very clean, well laid out, comfortable and peaceful. We had no idea that Noe Valley was such a delightful neighborhood and that we would be at such close walking distance to 24th Street. We will definitely be coming back in 2009 and would like to thank the owner for providing such a lovely, affordable, vacation rental in San Francisco. Montanamama!
