Cedar home, situated within natural dunes and a pine/birch woodland, just 2 miles north of Pt. Beach State Forest on Lake Michigan. The drive is 1 1/2 hours north of Milwaukee, 3 hours north of Chicago, and 45 minutes south of Door County.
Five acres of pines, cedar, white birch, sand and a 3000 square foot home are available for rental in all seasons. The natural beauty of the property and the lake views are truly breathtaking. The home was built with attention to detail and appreciation for fine materials and workmanship. Natural wood floors, two-story fieldstone fireplace, open staircase, and natural tiles grace the home. Beautiful art and handmade quilts add to the beauty of the full views of lake and woods from each room.
A full length cedar deck, comfortable outdoor furniture, and natural landscaping further add to the enjoyment of your stay in this very private and quiet area of Wisconsin. This home is a comfortable stay for four couples, one family (with guests), or two small families. Small dogs (only) upon approval, $75 fee, $100 extra deposit and cleanup required. Also rent a brand new neighboring beach house for large groups, retreats and reunions. NO SMOKING.
The 450' beach is accessible by a gentle 25 foot staircase. The sand is fairly free of rocks and the lake gently increases in depth from the shoreline - great for children. The State Forest and a School Nature preserve are within easy hiking or biking (by trail, beach, or roadway). Miles of beach for hiking. Beach chairs and shade umbrellas provided.
Summer activities are endless, but the winter activities also provide special memories. Cross country ski or snowshoe on the State Forest maintained trails or in Door County. Sledding on our property is awesome! Stars are not dimmed by city lights and make evenings so special. Enjoy an evening campfire, lay back and watch the night sky. Many a shooting star has been seen here! Full moon rises from the lake and morning sunrises are real memory makers. The sun may set in the western sky - but watch what it does to the eastern sky over the lake - spectacular!
Door County is within an hours drive for shopping, restaurants, and outdoor activities. Golf options are great with Fox Hills (ten minutes), Kohler (45 minutes), and local golf courses that will even design a special golf outing with you. You can fish in nearby streams, rivers, or ponds - or you can hire a charter to fish Lake Michigan whitefish, trout, or salmon. Hunting is allowed at Point Beach State Forest, during the official hunting seasons.
You don't have to plan anything. You can make your stay as peaceful or active as you like. The beauty surrounds you as you read a book, lay in the hammock and relax. The hammock is situated to watch the birds at the feeders and the hummingbirds sip from the flowers. We plant lots of flowers to attract butterflies and hummingbirds!

We spent 4 nights at this home with 3 generations, 8 adults and 8 children, 12 and under. Easily accommodated all of us. Enjoyed by all. Beautiful home, beach and view! Immaculate. Fully stocked and then some. We were able to do some boating/tubing. Enjoyed the beach, biking, hiking, campfires, badmitten and more. We're coming back again!!! Would recommend to everyone.

Since we can't be at the property ourselves, it's nice to know other families and groups are enjoying it. Most people really do treat the house and property with such respect and it is greatly appreciated. The house was built and equipped with our own huge family in mind, which makes it an easy fit for families and groups needing extra space, especially with the use of the 2nd house. Rentals can be gamble, but the Muldoon's place was as advertised, surpassing expectations on all fronts. Perfectly situated on the lake close to local activities and restaurants but secluded from other homes/properties. Tranquil views of and access to the beach with all the necessary campfire and grilling amenities. Functionally the place has everything you need for a long weekend escape or a week long vacation and all the basics (washer/dryer, easily managed central heating/cooling, etc.) make the place a no brainer. No reason to leave the home with it's outdoor recreation for adults and kids, outdoor dining room, all-room/outdoor sound system with iPod functionality, Wi-Fi, pool table and board games. But with world-class golfing a few miles away, not to mention great trails and parks a stone's throw from the place, there are plenty of reasons to get out and about. As for the rental process, it was easy and professional to work with Cindy. Available via email at anytime before, during and after our stay. The information provided about activities, restaurants, and our stay at the house was clear and exact. It's apparent that the owners take real pride in ensuring their guest's have a good time. Instructions for how to use the house and the condition in which to leave it were easy to follow and not burdensome at all. Many a reason to return!

This home is BEAUTIFUL and fully equipped. You don't need to bring anything except food and a willingness to relax and gave a good time! The property is beautiful and the home was immaculate upon check in. Cindy is a very concerned and accomodating owner! Would rent it again in a heartbeat!!

We had a great time on this fine beachfront property the week of 8/10/8-8/17/8. We brought food, family and a few boats. Everything else we needed was there. The weather was great. Everyone felt very comfortable. We couldn't have asked for a better place. We used both houses, lots of room and great spaces to hang out. Outstanding!!!

My girlfriends and I have rented this house the past four winters and it is amazing! The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. We've always been in the winter...but I would love to stay in the summer sometime since it's right on the lake and has a beautiful deck/yard to enjoy. The house is clean, beds are comfortable, and it's just perfect for a getaway. The owners are very friendly and easy to work with. I would (and have!) recommend this house to anyone!

My husband and I along with 2 other couples shared a valentines weekend there. We had the best time there, the house was very clean and everything was accesible for you to use. We had such a wonderful time we are booking the place again this February and bringing another couple, because they are tired of hearing us rave about how much we enjoyed the home.

What a wonderful time we had!! We just got back from a week-long fmaily vacation at this WONDERFUL house. I cannot believe how relaxed we all are. So much to say...we loved cooking in the nicely-stocked kitchen. Every utensil and kitchen gadget was supplied. The beach was awesome, and we found sea glass, beautiful rocks, fossils and drift wood. I think each of the 12 of us took a rest in the hammock, and many hours were spent looking out over the lake and listening to the peaceful waves. The expandable "game table" in the great room was just perfect for our nightly card games for the grownups. The 5 boys, (age 14, 13, 12, 10 and 9) loved sleeping in what we called the "boy's dormitory" downstairs. We loved having 4 bathrooms! It made showers quick and easy for 12 people. We took the bikes out for a spin to Point Beach State Forest, and that was a BLAST!! We also did s'mores, swam in the lake (a little chilly for the grownups, but the kids loved it!), played "ghost in the graveyard" at night and explored the cool little town of Two Rivers. This is a gorgeous house, built with all the finest materials. We were so pleased with the quality and felt surrounded by luxury! We plan to be back in 2009 for our next family reunion!!!

Dear Owners: I am glad to see so many positive remarks in the guest book as this place is great for tranquility. We rented the cabin in October '03 and really enjoyed ourselves. It's amazing to see stars rise above the lake at night sitting next to a campfire. I've only seen four shooting stars in my life and two of them were in one night at your cabin. Congats on your accomplishments! We are planning another group trip. ALthough, we have never gone to the same place twice, we a seriously considering coming back very soon.

We have five couples who on a yearly basis go on a winter get-a-way in Wisconsin. We have been doing this for the last 28 years. This rental by Cindy M. is rated in the top three.
