Perfect relaxation getaway

My boyfriend and I rented this unit last month. We had a fabulous week and are already trying to figure out when we can make it back. The resort is very modest, but extremely quaint, and CLEAN. Excellent value!! You will be very pleased with your choice if you book this unit. We were looking for a cottage-type getaway where we could relax and unwind, but still cook our own meals and we got exactly that. I felt I relaxed more on this trip than any of our all-inclusive trips. Our unit's kitchen was stocked with every supply you will need for your stay. The complex has a shared BBQ that you can use as well as a shared outside eating area. We didn't use these amenities but will try to take advantage next time. The pool is extremely clean and quiet. The beach is right across the street, so we spent most of our time there. Madeira Beach is one of the cleanest beaches I have been to. We walked a couple miles north, and as soon as you crossed into Redington, the sand was much less groomed than what it is in Madeira. We liked the fact that this was not a high-rise building. Our car was right at our door and we didn't have to deal with elevators and noise from units above or next door. Let me also mention that the property managers Imre & Maria are extremely warm and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure you were comfortable and happy with your stay...I even got a hug when we left! Location: Within walking distance is a great little ice cream & candy shop, a few convenience stores, and a little further up (walkable if you like long walks) is John's Pass to the south, and to the north the CVS & Wynn Dixie are not far either. Everything is right there. Madeira Beach being between Clearwater and St. Petersburg makes it a great home base for your stay, and Gulf Gardens is a fantastic complex. We can't wait to go back!

This place was delightful! We loved the sparkling pool with the beautiful flowers and the closeness of the beach and shopping centers. It was private and peaceful. Imre and Maria and all the other guests were very kind and helpful. We would highly recommend it.

We recently stayed at Gulf Gardens Unit 2 & really liked it! Very friendly people who were willing to help with anything you needed. Very clean and well kept facility. Nice pool & just a short walk to the beach. Highly recommended..will stay again.

Our stay was the most impressionable and memorable one. The place was immaculately well kept and up to date w/all immenities. Location was perfect...close to beach, dining, shopping, etc.... We'd come back again without a doubt !

Well we did it again! The second time was just as nice as the first. Spent the second week of June at the cottage. Mr. and Mrs. Bokhart were more than accomodating. Imre was a welcome sight, we always feel safe just knowing he is there. My nephew is 7 yrs. old and autistic, this trip was a dream for him. Beautiful weather and top notch accomodations made this another great trip. I've never gone to the same place two years in a row, but Madeira Beach and Gulf Gardens have permanently carved a place in our hearts. This won't be our last trip back. This was one of the best vacations my daughter and I have had. The owners were so nice. Imre was priceless. He is laid back, yet makes sure everything is just as you want it. He made us feel very welcome and safe. The cottage is lovely! Quaint, clean as a whistle, I've seen apartments not as nice. It truly was like being at home. The pictures are exactly like it is. You are right across the street from the beach, a lovely powdered sugar sand beach with crystal clear water. Most activities are within 30 min. of this cottage. Derrick and I just wanted to let everyone know that this truly is a marvelous place to stay. We had one of our most enjoyable vacations here and have already booked for next year. You can't go wrong as everything is exactly the way it is described. One thing you have to know is that the people at Gulf Gardens are wonderful and very friendly. This was our first time in Florida and we were so happy that we selected this very comfortable cottage. We found the unit to be exactly as portrayed on the Website: cozy,extremely clean,very convenient to beach, shopping and entertainment and fully stocked. The owners even had all the supplies needed for a day at the beach. The resident manager and other owners at the resort were very friendly and helpful. We will rent this unit again when we revisit this area.

We just returned from a 2 week stay.This unit is the most immaculate place we have stayed in a long time. The owners called to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, which it was.The pool is beautiful and the beach is clean and uncrowded.I would highly recommend this unit .You can trust the pictures of this unit. It's actually a very accurate detail of the unit. Love it and can't wait to go back!!!!!!!!!

We have rented this unit for the past 3 years and we always come back.We find it close to everything,beach,shopping,good eating places etc.The unit it self is bright and cheery,fully equipted and imaculate. Brad+Judy Nickerson
