My husband and I are both Florida natives but met at college in the Carolinas. We live in Florida full time but never wanted to give up the mountains.
Why the Owner Chose Cashiers
While we were at college my husbands family built this house because they fell in love with the mountains too. My family has been vacationing here since 1990 and we still find new things every year!
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Every summer we rent a pontoon boat and spend a whole day on the lake. Every winter we head to Catallooche and snowboard all day!

What a wonderful place. My husband and I vacationed with our 21 month old daughter, mother and father-in-law, sister and brother-in-law, and brother and sister-in-law. It was absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The view from the back porch is gorgeous. All nine of us had plenty of room and our own space. It was the perfect chance to re-connect as a family. We enjoyed a day on the lake, spent time exploring the local waterfalls, shopped in Highlands, and even drove into Ashville one day. I would definitely come back again! We all had a wonderful time. Thank you Lucido family!

My family was introduced to this cabin several years ago & continue to come back. It is perfect for two families with kids. The couples each have a private bedroom and bathroom, while the kids have tons of space downstairs! We have young children and are still comfortable having the kids downstairs. Both bedrooms have plenty of space for a pack n play also. The house is spacious, nicely appointed & very clean. We love making fires & sitting on the porch enjoying the beautiful view & cool evenings. The kids are content to explore the woods around the house but they love going to waterfalls & hiking. We have gone to festivals in Cashiers & spent the day in Highlands, but we usually don't even go that far. Our family is happy to relax & enjoy the mountains. I would like to take girls here for a girls weekend, because it would also be a great house for that. Then, I would really get to explore the local shopping & dining, but I will have to write that review later. This is a great value for this price! We will keep coming!!!
