I rented this house for my visiting family, and all I can say is wow we were all blown away by the house. It was even better then the beautiful photo suggest. The property was very clean and comfortable. The Towels and Linens were luxurious, and the beds were very comfortable. The owner was very helpful and responsive to questions, and the welcome information was very informative and useful. The location could not be better, walking distance to hollywood tourist attractions, but up above it all in the hills. In the evenings during our stay we heard Coldplay (performing at the Hollywood Bowl just up the street) from the comfort of the garden. During the day we enjoyed the sun streaming in those large beautiful windows while looking out over the hills and taking in the great view. The surrounding neighborhood is a pleasure to explore on foot. Winding narrow streets and stairs make getting around easy and interesting. Just up the street is the Frank Lloyd Wright Freeman House, a little further is Yamashiro Japanese Restaurant, if you can check it out on a Thursday evening there is a very cool farmers market (with an amazing view of hollywood and greater LA) in the parking lot of the restaurant. This house and area has so much to offer for all ages. Next time I have out of town guest coming to visit I will be booking them in here.

Although we live in the general area, we often stay in hotels when we go out, so we can just hop in a cab and be sleeping in short order. I contacted Kevin & Michael to see if there was any chance for a one nighter (as it was last minute). They were very accommodating. The place is just up the hill from just about anything you want to be doing in Hollywood. So close to the Hollywood Bowl, you can almost hear it. The place is massive and is furnished in a retro cool fashion. The rooms are all comfortable. I LOVED the circular staircase leading down to the bedrooms. The living room has a fantastic view of the hills around the building. The other couple we brought along with us were so stoked by the whole experience, they've decided this is the only way to go.
Owner response:So happy you had a great stay, I'm glad it worked out... That was TRULY last minute! come back anytime :))

The home was located right smack in the Hollywood Hills, the location is so convenient to amusement parks; Universal (less than ten minutes) Six Flags (35-40 minutes), Hollywood, tourist areas and beaches. The house accommodated our group quite comfortably. The decor of the home is beautiful as is the area. It is picturesque in the Hollywood Hills. It is within walking distance from Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood Blvd. As a family we will definitely stay again; Owners (Michael and Kevin) were both very generous and kind with directions, sightseeing information and tourist attractions. We thank them for the opportunity to rent their home and experience HOLLYWOOD!!!
Owner response:so glad you had fun! hope to see you again soon!

Thank you for making my L.A. vacation a memorable one. This house was very spacious, the decor was just remarkable...The windows alone take you to another place. The view of the hills is a must photo-Op. You have easy access to the Kodak Theater if you want to shop and sightsee. You will not be disappointed renting this lovely home. The owners were great to work with, which makes it a no brainer that I will contact them in the very near future...Enjoy! Jason A. Brown
Owner response:thanks YOU! and happy birthday again! i'll be decking out the downstairs unit soon, so it may be available as well... but this time w french doors and lighting! :-)

I stayed with my family in this wonderful home over five days in early December. I could not offer one negative comment. The location was perfect for all our needs and the facilities and attention to detail made it so much more practical than being in a hotel. The owners are to be highly commended in all respects. I would highly recommend it.

Just came back from a great stay in LA. Wow, LOVED the place! Views from the living room were awesome. Right in the heart of it all, but still feel secluded and quiet. We had our two pugs with us who also loved it, felt right at home. (the front courtyard was perfect for them) The place is decorated beautifully and feels big, but at the same time cozy and comfortable. The beds were comfortable, and the towels and linens were all soft and lovely. It was very clean and totally charming with original tile in the bathroom, etc. TWO working wood burning fireplaces? WOW!! There are a number of stairs (including a beautiful spiral staircase to the bedrooms) which was fine for us and the dogs were even ok with it after a couple days. I was nervous about them at first (me and gravity are not the best of friends) but it was totally fine. The charm far outweighs the quirks of an older building. There is a very small garage, we parked half way in (and managed to still be off the street), which was great to still have an off street spot. We used it at night, and normally found parking during the day on the street (which also allowed us to use the laundry machines in the garage during the day). Thanks Kevin and Mike for helping make our stay wonderful, hope to stay again and again.

My friends and I stayed here for one night before a Hollywood Bowl concert and it was amazing! The location was perfect (only 5 minutes walk), the house was eclectic and well-designed, and the owners were so kind and helpful. The views from the hill was fabulous. Really can't stop raving!

My husband and I actually live in the Hollywood Hills, but had to relocate for a few days while our apartment was being repaired. We got lucky - this apartment was the right price and location, and happened to be available for the days we needed. The apartment is huge... we only needed the master bedroom (which had a fantastic bed, cable TV and a fireplace), but the other two bedrooms were also spacious and well-decorated. We also liked the spiral staircase, the art, the water pressure and the views. Our biggest problem was actually having to go back to our (smaller) apartment once the repairs were finished. Agree with previous posts about the managers - they couldn't have been more accommodating. It was such a great experience, we're actually planning to have family/friends stay there when they visit.

This was a terrific place to stay for our trip to the Hollywood area. It is very convenient to everything whether you are walking or driving. It is in an extremely quiet and serene setting and yet just several blocks away from the excitement of Hollywood Blvd. Mike was a very pleasant host and provided helpful information on places to visit. The accommodations were just as nice as the appear in the photos. We were very sorry to have to leave at the end of the week, and we hope to return another day.

Our vacation at this home was terrific. The house is beautiful! We really loved staying there. And the owner's help and assistance about restaurants and places to visit were better than any concierge could have ever been. We woke up to humming birds and the great view set the tone for the entire day. The rooms are large, grandly decorated, with high ceilings and beautiful windows allowing for the great views. There are two fireplaces - one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. It was very chilly and we used logs two different nights. Very pretty and very cozy!

First off the place seemed huge. I wanted a place that was like a home where I could entertain my LA friends. It fit the bill perfectly! The apartment was very stylish and comfortable. The kitchen was pretty well stocked, which helped with entertaining. The owners were certainly knowledgeable about the close by eateries and night life. The location was great and we could actually walk to the Hollywood and Highland complex. I will definatly stay there again.

I had the pleasure of spending two days and nights in this beautiful apt. It is so comfortable, everything is there that you might need for a wonderful vacation, and the area is so convenient, I walked to the Hollywood Bowl. The views are spectacular.
