This house was amazing! Just perfect for 2 families. We had 8 people there and more than enough room. Beautiful home that is fully equipped and then some. Very clean and lots of extras. We have been to Kauai 5 times and this by far is the best house we have stayed in. We will stay again if we travel with others next time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! Kauai is paradise!

My two daughters, 3 grandchildren and I spent a perfect week in this wonderful home. Everything we could possibly need during our week was provided. There was a good supply of beach toys, towels, snorkle gear, ice chest The kitchen and pantry were stocked with appliances, dishes, everything you could ask for. The photos on this sight are great but you must see this house to realize the size and beauty of it. I hope to return to Kauai and have this home for my stay. The North Shore is awesome! Hanalei Bay is truly heaven on earth! Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Perfect Stay!

We brought 8 adults to this home in June 2011, and it was fantastic. They're not kidding when they say it sleeps 10. It easily sleeps 10, and that's without using any sleeper sofas or anything. The layout of the house was superb. The kitchen is open to the dining room and living room, so it's perfect for everyone to be "doing their own thing" but still able to communicate. We used the hot tub everyday, it was a great way to end the day! The only complaint might be that the hot tub only seats 6, so if you bring more people than that, not everyone could hang out in there together. Overall, wonderful house, and the owners were easy to deal with and honest. Highly recommend! I just wish we could have stayed longer!

25th Anniversary Family Gathering

We loved staying at this home, had everything we would ever need while on Kauai. We had 3 generations gathered for our 25th Wedding Anniversary celebration with 2 flying in from Japan and the rest from the states. The layout was perfect, exactly what we needed for all to be comfortable. The kitchen was a huge hit, being able to cook fresh fish dinners and hanging out drinking coffee in the morning and talking - perfect! The jacuzzi was great to have after full days of snorkeling and horseback riding. After all the family members left we stayed for a few extra days but went to a local hotel, we missed the house temendously!!!

Denver/Casper reunion

We stayed at the Welsh' home for a week in Sept. 2010. A very memorable vacation with my daughter, her husband and 6 boys ages 7 to 14. We really loved the layout of the inside main floor, being all open from the kitchen to the family TV room, we could keep an eye on the boys at all time. The outside lanai with the outdoor shower and hot tub was a great gathering place in the morning with coffee waiting for everyone to get ready for the day and in the evening with a glass of wine "talking story" and winding down from the day. The convenience of a close grocery store was handy and the kitchen had everything we needed for a week. The washer and dryer was especially great, not having to go find a laundry mat. The residential community is quiet and we felt very safe walking around the area. The beach was a nice walk and the mountain scenery was beautiful. The nice thing about not being right on the beach with children was not having to worry about where they were all the time, so the parents and grandparents could relax. This was an awsome vacation and a great place for 3 generations to spend time together.

Our 3 families in 1 and spanning 3 generations really enjoyed this property. The home is very large, well maintained and spread out with quality throughout. We particularly enjoyed the lanai with the home wrapped around it on 3 sides. Most of us at one time or another used the table and chairs there for breakfast or dinner. The outdoor hot and cold shower was great for rinsing off after the beach, and so private. We all enjoyed the hot tub as we used it nearly every evening. The home was still pretty cool when returning after being gone all day. The large fans in the bedrooms helped make sleeping very comfortable. The owners were very helpful with many suggestions and answered all our questions. We experienced alot more rain while on Kauai this time, perhaps because of staying in Princeville and on the rainy side of the island. It didn't keep us from any activities though, but we did get wet on the Kalalau Trail both ways. We made good use of the boogie boards and beach toys. It was so nice to have the extras the hotels don't furnish. We have used home rentals for many vacations, and in Hawaii they just make sense.

We have found the house we will return to after several visits to Kauai. The listing and photos are spot on and the location is great in Princeville. Everything we needed for two families of four. The hot tub was excellent after showering off in outdoor shower after a day at the beach, a run or bike ride. Frederica and Joe were a pleasure to work with and responded to our only concern during our stay right away. Thanks for opening up your home to all of us that need that Kauai vacation!!!!

We loved our stay at the Welsh's property. The outdoor jacuzzi was nice since the weather on the north side of the island was a little cold and windy on some days. My son loved it. We got together with cousins for a wedding at the st. regis. Very close by. About 15 min walk to Hanalei. Check out Queen's bath... it was amazing and very close. Google it.

We loved this home. For us, a home is so much nicer a stay than a hotel. A grocery store is minutes away, and you can cook your own meals. The home had everything we needed, it was clean and well maintained, and had lots of room. The area it is located in, is a residential community that is safe, quiet, with friendly neighbors and its easy to find. The owners are extremely nice. We wouldn't hesitate to return here. We stayed at this home Feb, 2010 and I have no words to describe this property. It is beautiful, confortable, everything we needed was there, and I can't forget to mention the mountain views, the fruit trees, just amaizing. The location is perfect, the pictures on the website don't do this home justice, so much better in real life. Really the owners thaught about everything, everything. We very much enjoyed the home and location. The home had most ammenities and was very comfortable for our group. The kitchen was great to cook in and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The high chair and port a crib were much appreciated. It was located in a nice, quiet neighborhood in a good location. Very helpful to have the beach supplies available; especially the beach towels, mats, chairs and umbrella. Mahalo.

Moena Hale was beautiful!!! The house is spacious and great for entertaining. The kitchen is well equipped and the beach gear is well stocked. Kept the little ones busy for hours on the beach. Words can not describe the beauty of Kauai. You must see it for yourself and this is the perfect house to rent. Close to everything!! The hot tub was great after a long day hiking, shopping or exploring and the beds were very comforable. Hideaways Beach is beautiful but very difficult to access. The beach in Hanalei is great for kids with nice waves but snorking in Tunnels in the morning was the highlight of my vacation. O yes, the shaved ice is definately a MUST !!!! This home was absolutely beautiful and located in a nice quiet golf resort type area. The house was very clean and kept up well. The owners of the house are very nice and willing to accommodate you in any way to make your stay perfect. I would definitely recommend this property to families or large groups of people (as it can comfortably hold up to 10 people) and golf lovers. The only minor "negative" is that it is a little further away from the majority of the activities which are mostly located on the East shore. However this would not deter me from staying there again! It was an absolute perfect vacation!

Kauai Vacation February 2009

Aloha Frederica!! Just wanted to let you know that my family and I loved our stay in your beautiful Princeville home. We were worried that we would be in each others way sharing a house for a week, but the home was so spacious we all had our own space to relax when needed. The pictures do not do your home justice, it was much bigger than we expected, beautifully decorated, and very clean. Loved the wooden slats on the windows to allow the tropical air in. There were plenty of beach towels, beach toys, chairs, and snorkeling gear. The hot tub was the perfect treat after a day of snorkeling and hiking the beaches. Hideaways beach was our favorite, the slightly difficult hike up and down was well worth it to get to swim with the turtles and see such a great assortment of fish. We stocked up on groceries at Costco in Lihue the first day and enjoyed preparing our meals in the large fully equipped kitchen. There were 8 of us and we all loved the comfortable beds and the spacious bathrooms. My 14 year old son and 9 year old daughter loved picking fresh oranges and finding little lizards and frogs out in the yard. I would highly recommend this rental to everyone. We are hoping to make a return trip to Kauai with friends at Christmas and will hope to rent this house again.

Dear Fredrica, Thank you so much for the use of your home on our vacation. We had a most lovely time and you have a most beautiful and comfortable house. Being able to enjoy Kauai's exquisite beauty during the day and relax so wonderfully in the house in the evening made for a great vacation for the entire family. There was space for everyone and games for the kids to enjoy. Thank you for the use of the boogie boards and snorkeling gear - the kids (all of us really) made use of everything and hopefully left it ready for the next lucky family to enjoy paradise in Moena Hale. We also loved your kitchen, the grill, the accessories, the outdoor shower, the hot tub (Tyler, the eight year old birthday celebrant was in it morning, noon, and night), the bikes, the location, your recommendations (Kalihiwai Beach the whole family loved), and just about everything your home and location offered. Our family of six spent a week here and had a great visit. The home is well equipped, clean and spacious. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking or hanging out at the beach. Make sure to use the mountain bikes to explore Princeville, too. We took advantage of the beach chairs and some basic snorkel gear on many of our beach excursions. For snorkeling, we strongly recommend Hideaways, the beach down the slightly treacherous stairs, on the right, just before the Princeville Hotel. We felt it was superior to Tunnels and Ke'e Beach for uncrowded snorkeling, good fish counts and turtles. Secret Beach is an easy walk down a trail from the parking area, and you're rewarded with amazing views, but with some rough water. Bubba's was pretty good for burgers. The Shave Ice truck in Hanalei was excellent and the proprietors were a bit flaky. We had an excellent meal with a great view over Hanalei Bay at the main restaurant at the Princeville Hotel. Hanalei Surfing Co. took good care of us with board rentals. I don't recommend Hanalei Dolphin: overpriced, so-so food, so-so service. Air Kauai with pilot Jody was great for our chopper tour. This house was really a terrific value. Kauai is a great example of a place where staying put at your hotel for the duration of your visit is foolish, so renting a big, comfortable house and exploring the island is the only way to go.

Great Home, Beautiful Area, Safe Neighborhood

My husband and I stayed at this residence in April 2008, and loved every bit of this rental property. The house has plenty of space for big families, and was plenty big for just the two of us. The home is in a great area in Princeville, very quiet, very safe, and you can walk almost anywhere from the house including multiple private beaches. The house has everything that you need from a gorgeous kitchen with all the supplies to multiple bedrooms with nice bathrooms. The house was kept very clean and the grounds outside were beautiful. The house also has plenty of beach chairs, towels, bikes, snorkel gear and anything else that you might need for the beach. The property owners were very accommodating to any questions that we had and were very responsive to anything that we needed. There are many homes to choose from in Princeville, but we would highly recommend choosing this home for your next vacation.

Perfect Loacation, Beautiful Home on Garden Isle

This was a wonderful Vacation home to spend our time in on the north shore of Kauai. We have spent many years here in a number of different Condo's but having a spacious home with all of the amenities was much more relaxing. There home was clean and maintained. Maintenance staff was available by phone if anything came up. The home fit 2 families with small kids (5) perfectly and had enough space to get away if need be. Hanalei resort is within walking distance and they have a restaurant as well as beach access to Hanalei Bay. The home is well equipped with Beach chairs, snorkels, toys etc. It is in close driving distance to the store and the North Shore beaches (Tunnels, Kee', and Lumahai are a few favorites. We ate several times at the "Lighthouse" restaurant in Kailua as well as the pizza there and would definitely recommend it. There is also horseback riding, Zip Lines, and of course World famous Golf Courses. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this property to anyone interested in a comfortable stay with a lot of fun activities available.
