LOCATION:
Located on a private farm only minutes west of Charlottesville, this updated guesthouse offers all the comforts of home. Relax on the porch and enjoy the beautiful pastoral view - horses, fields, fishpond, and Blue Ridge views to the West.
The guesthouse is located just 10 minutes from the University of Virginia, Monticello and downtown Charlottesville.
Enjoy a day at the local vineyards - Veritas, White Hall, Keswick, Barboursville, Jefferson and others. Visit Carter Mountain Orchard for apple picking. Take a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway or Skyline Drive to see the beautiful fall foliage.
LIVING ROOM:
The living room features a cozy sofa and two armchairs with ottomans. These are conveniently placed to watch DISH Network or DVDs on the large plasma TV. There is also a wood-burning fireplace for those chilly evenings. Firewood is provided. A library of DVDS, games and books is located on the bookcases in the living room. There is a drop leaf dining table that can seat 8 as well as a small breakfast table with pool views.
KITCHENETTE:
Also located in the living room is a kitchenette with granite counter, under counter refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. This is fully equipped with utensils, plates, glasses, bowls, and coffee supplies.
RED BEDROOM:
On the main level the red bedroom, which has hardwood floors, features a queen size sleigh bed with side table and lamp. There are two closets, a dresser with TV with built-in VCR, a reading chair and side table with lamp and views of the Blue Ridge and the surrounding pastures. This bedroom is served by a full bath with tiled shower, tiled floor and furniture style single vanity with granite top.
BLUE BEDROOM:
Also on the main level is the blue bedroom, which has hardwood floors and features a queen size bed with side table and lamp. There is a closet, a built-in bookcase, an armoire and a small table with two chairs. This bedroom has views of the farm and is served by a full bath with tub/shower, tiled floor and furniture style single vanity with granite top.
LOWER LEVEL BEDROOM:
On the lower level is a bedroom with a full size bed with two side tables and lamps. This bedroom is served by a full bath with tub/shower combination, pedestal sink and tiled floor.
PORCH:
There is a private porch with two Adirondack chairs, the perfect place for morning coffee. This porch overlooks the swimming pool and hot tub, which are available for the use of guests. This is a private pool used by guests and owners only. Pool towels are available.
UNIT FEATURES:
There is a washer and a dryer, which are located on the lower level. Extra linens, including bed linens, bath towels and pool towels, are provided in the built-in armoires outside of each upper level bedroom. Toilet paper and paper towels are provided as well as dish soap and clothes detergent.
For larger parties, the main house, which sleeps 10-12, is also available.

Beautiful views! We enjoy being close to Charlottesville. There is so much to do here - UVA football games, apple picking, concerts at JPJ, skiing at Wintergreen, visiting historic sites and more.

Ragged Mountain Farm is an owner occupied and owner maintained farm. Alex, Amy, Josh & Megan live here as well as dogs - Max, Dre and Bodie, barn cats - Sailor and Samantha and horses - Roger, Jackport, Colonel, Fletch, Lena, Cody, Gee and Donk. We also have cows including our pet cow, Norma and chickens who give us fresh eggs daily.
