Since we have a coded keyless entry system, there are no keys to mail back and forth, and no "check-in/check-out" stops coming in or leaving. And anyone in your family has access anytime without fussing with key handoffs, or keys lost in a snowbank!!
This lodging at Beaver Ridge is cozy and nicely furnished and decorated. It is on the same level as the parking lot, so no steps need to be climbed up or down to access.
Firewood is provided for the wood-burning fireplace. The Beaver Ridge property is located next to the National Forest, providing ready access to wonderful hiking, all the way to Blackwater Falls, for the energetic and adventurous. If you're a shutterbug, there is no limit on the opportunities for photographing wild country and wildlife.
In the winter, bring your alpine or cross-country skis, or your snowshoes for the fun and physical challenge that you're looking for. Don't forget the hot chocolate!!
In the summer, enjoy the private pool, tennis courts, outdoor grills located conveniently at the ends of the buildings.
Bring your favorite DVD or VCR tape movies, board games,and CDs. There is a stereo, DVD, VCR and TV in the LR, and a second TV in the BR.
Beaver Ridge is nicely located to access Davis for good food and groceries, and to the slopes at Canaan Valley Ski Area, and Timberline.
Also, Canaan Valley has wonderful wildlife preserves, and is near to Dolly Sods and Bear Rocks, Smoke Hole caverns, Seneca Rocks and many other wonderful natural attractions. The climate is so unique that some species of plants found here are nowhere else in North America south of Canada!!
For an affordable getaway, this is the place for you! Not all that far from Washington, DC, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Columbus, Charleston, Baltimore, etc.
