Welcome to our ocean front home in Sereno del Mar, across from School House and Portuguese Beaches, above Bodega Bay. The house is “front line” or a front row seat to view the Pacific Ocean.
The 2 bedroom 2 bathroom retreat can sleep 4 guests, or 6 by setting up the air bed. Relax or entertain in the expansive great room with unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean. Barbecue and sip Cosmos on the deck. Grab a book out of the library and curl up on the window seat off of the kitchen.
Supervise the preparation of your favorite dinner while seated at the wrap around bar overlooking the gourmet kitchen. Want or need a time out? Retreat to the master bath with a jetted tub for two with an ocean view. Watch commercial fisherman, party boats, or a sunset. You’ll see the best ever. Inside or outside, you’ll feel like you’re in heaven.
As you enter this unforgettable home you will be greeted with the view. Step up a few stairs to the great room. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen to one side and the cozy-up living room with oversized sofa, twin recliners and fireplace on the other. Step down to the library and chose a book or play a game of chess.
Set the glass top table for dinner overlooking the sea. Linens, towels, and all the amenities you could ever want or need are here. There are 3 TV’s with expanded cable, a DVD player with movies, CD player with oldies-but-goodies CDs, books, games, cards, etc... Wireless internet access avaialable throughout.
Don't forget to bring your binoculars and cameras, as the area is abundant with wildlife --- hawks, seagulls, quail, bunnies, deer, whales, seals, and a resident bobcat! Local attractions include golfing, hiking, biking, kayaking, surfing, sport fishing and horse back riding on the beach. Visit local wineries, quaint little marinas, restaurants, galleries, or shopping at candy, kite, and saltwater taffy stores.
Getting to the beach is no problem! Just a short walk to the path and steps to Portuguese Beach. This wonderful beach is ½ mile long and is perfect for a jog, picnic or beach combing, collecting shells, beach glass and driftwood. You’ll find starfish, mussels clinging to the rough rocks, tide pools, and more to explore!

The spacious deck, kitchen, and living/dining room; the spectacular ocean view; and the easy access to the beach made for a very special day which we all will remember for a long time. The library made an excellent playroom for the two young boys. We love your place, and you can expect us to contact you about renting it again. It's also been a pleasure to deal with you. We travel quite a bit, and we usually rent a house or condo at our destination. You handle it better than about anyone I've dealt with. Thanks for your hospitality and the nice welcome gift."

Guest Comments: Mary & Nate , Virginia The magical ocean views will enchant you, the power of the surf will enthrall you, and the accoutrements inside this frontline beach house will astound you! Just steps or a quick drive to several broad beaches exuding natural splendor, you’ll enjoy exploring the sand or sitting on a large log along the shore soaking in the Pacific. If the winds ar e blowing, retire to the plexiglassed deck to sunbathe, with an unimpeded view of the ocean as you bask in the sun's warmth. The large king master suite boasts a relaxing two person jetted tub, overlooking both the rustic hillside and ocean, as well as an open rainforest shower. A very private, cozy queen bedroom, buffered by a lovely traditional bath and the foyer is on the other end of the home. The expansive great room, deck, and kitchen of this extremely functional home feel perched on top of the ocean, and the music system throughout enhances any mood you wish to create. Games and video options abound, and a huge library would afford any bibliophile a peaceful respite. Nearby fine dining at Bodega Bay ’s Duck Club or Terrapin Creek restaurants can be interspersed with cooking in the spectacular gourmet-equipped kitchen. We found The Sandpiper, a local favorite, to be a great breakfast and lunch spot. The extensive winery options in the Russian River Valley would take years to explore, but you’ll yearn to return to this wonderful launching point, so that should solve the dilemma! Korbel offers a most informative, free historic tour and tasting; Dutton Estate inc orporates food pairings in its $20 couples flight tasting, and Iron Horse offers $10 flights of sparklings, whites or reds, all with discounts and club options to purchasers. After viewing Hitchcock's "The Birds," we realized that quaint St.Theresa's Church in Bodega is right next door to the school house filmed in the movie. So, there is much nearby to do and see, and plenty of reason to just laze around this fantastic gem on the Pacific!
