We are about 1 hr. 10 min. from the airport in San Jose.Jaco is about a 35 min. drive.The ferry is about 7 miles away.
If you choose not to cook in the house for a small fee Tico meals can be prepared for you, if you let us know ahead of time.We also have a new outside covered and lighted Bar B Q grill for your use. Food delivery is also another option.The bus stop is about a 2 min. walk. ve if you want to go to San Jose or another town for awhile. Our place a central point to many attractions and sports. Our managers are wonderful and very helpful to our customers.One manager speaks a lot of English.We have pipa coconuts growing constantly on our trees.You can have them for free and enjoy the juice from them. After taking a dip in our ceramic pool, where the water is like bathwater, you may want to take a walk in our lush gardens and then along the beach. You can enjoy your meals outside by the pool ,in the Tiki Hut, or your choice of 2 areas inside. For your comfort we have several new comfortable mattresses and new quiet running air conditioning units in the bedrooms.
The house features 6 bedrooms all with ceiling fans and a/c. There is a beautiful breeze from the ocean most of the time. The property is gated and offers off street parking for about 10 cars. Our electric front gate enables you to leave and return without getting out of your vehicle. From the house you have audio and video capabilities to control opening and closing the gate for your group.You will also have a remote control to be able to open and close the gate. We have installed a new security system. We are also handicapped accessible.All ages enjoy our place and it has more of a home like atmosphere.All the rooms are spacious.If you would like a massage we can arrange for you have one at the house for your convenience.The property is one acre with a titled beach front.
It's a great vacation place for family ,friends,weddings, reunions or business meetings. Maybe you just want to rent a room for a couple nights. That can also be arranged pending availability. Get together and plan renting the whole house with other friends. This is a great get away place for anyone and everyone!!

I was at Casa San Francisco for a mission trip in Costa Rica. The staff there was extremely nice and would do just about anything for you that you needed. I would stay there again if I was back in the area.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

We spent Christmas week at Casa San Francisco and found it a very family friendly place to stay. Nefferty and Carlos went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The common space is large and well suited to family activities. We did have a mishap as my daughter and two grand daughters passports were stolen from under a table south of Jaco. In fact my daughters back pack and all her personal items (purse, phone, identity cards, bank card and passports) were stolen. Nefferty and Carlos went with us to recover some non financial items found by someone who only spoke Spanish and this was late at night. They also delivered hearing aids and contact lenses left in Casa San Francisco to the Liberia airport. Casa San Francisco is nice, but Nefferty and Carlos are exceptional people that made our stay most enjoyable. VRBO Review—Casa San Francisco Thank you to Bob, Judy, Ruth, and Joel for a fantastic stay in Puntarenas. My family and I (6 of us total) stayed at Casa San Francisco over Christmas 2010, and we had a wonderful time. First, the beach is beautiful, and the views alone from the house are worth the asking price. The house is less than 100 yards from the water, and beach access is super-easy and very safe. Joel and Ruth, the caretakers of the property, are some of the most helpful people we’ve come across vacationing together as a family. Joel recommended a fantastic day for us in Rincon de la Vieja, an adventure tourism hub that offered canyoning, zip lines, whitewater sports, hot springs, and massages all for one price! We can’t thank him enough. The house is centrally located, and it’s easy to get to Puntarenas. In town you can walk the boardwalk and visit all the great Kioskas. For a sit-down meal, check out Cevichito, just off the kiosks. Taxis are easy to coordinate, and very safe. More on the house: spacious, clean, and up to western standards, which checks the important boxes for a comfortable stay. The house also seems to be very typically Costa Rican, so you got a great rustic feel while you were there. The pool is amazing, and perfect to enjoy a dip at the end of the day, whether you spend it in Rincon, Manuel Antonio, or even a day trip to San Jose. There’s plenty of outdoor space, and an outdoor prep kitchen if you want to barbeque, or just cool watermelons and Imperiales. To summarize, it was a fantastic place to stay; very comfortable, quality amenities, a very knowledgeable staff, great access to an amazing black sand beach and a beautiful pool. We’ll be back to Costa Rica, and when we stay in Puntarenas, we’ll be staying at Casa San Francisco! We are near so many tourist attractions and have some good tourist discount rates for our clients. We love hearing the waves splash on the beach while enjoying the view from our backyard.The water in the pool is mostly like bath water. On Friday evenings or Saturday morning we look forward to buying our fresh grown organic fruits, vegetables and fresh caught seafood at the gigantic local open air market. We are centrally located on the Pacific side of Costa Rica. This allows people to be able to see more of Costa Rica . We are close to the ferry to Tambor. Due to good food, water and slow pace of life, our area is know for the longevity of its residents throughout the world.
