This home our my primary residence with a a two story cottage, (which we call, "Su Casa"),in the rear of the home. Our home is immaculate and we love to share it with our friends and guest. We have been living in Pompano Beach for the last 17 years.

I live with my wife and two dogs, Papo & Chocolate, which are a English Bulldog and miniature Shar Pai. We 3 adults found everything as listed and photographed. The pool house and pool area were very clean and welcoming. We were especially pleased with quick access to both beach and airport and with the quiet neighborhood. We hope to return to Su Casa and would recommend it to others. We had arranged for late arrival and did that with no problem--lights and air conditioner were on and Rene was there to see if anything was needed. Thanks for a very relaxing stay!

**not clean**

This place was *not* clean: we found dead waterbugs in the bedroom, ants crawled out of the sink and the flatware had food particles. Surfaces were sticky, the corners were neglected. The periphery of the property is littered with wood scraps and miscellaneous chemicals -- which is NOT SAFE for children or pets. Amenities: The grill was completely corroded from rust. The jacuzzi bath was orange/black with mildew in the nozzles. The washer requires quarters. The property is not nearly as private as advertised. There were no lounge chairs. On the plus side: the hot tub worked, the pool was spacious, the house had a big california king bed and our dog enjoyed the variety of smells on the property.

Owner response: 1. Same thing about the extermination taking place. 2. The wood scraps was mulch which is located next to the hot tub and outside table. I do not have any chemicals on my property other than for the swimming pool which is lock in containers behind the outdoor bar. Again, this is an area not access by guest, dogs or children. Their dog probably utilize this area for the bathroom which they were suppose to walk outside of the area. Defecation from the dog was found upon the guest departure and I witness the dog defecating on the pool deck and the guest pick it up. They were told that they need to walk their dog outside of the premise and not have their dog use the bathroom within the compound of the estate. 3. The BBQ grill is not new but not old either. This grill is clean each time a guest departs. We place new foil over the grill gates which should be satisfactory for anyone to use it. I been having this grill for the last three years I been listing my home and never receive a complaint. 4. The hot tube was services recently and complexly clean. I do not see or ever noted orange/black mildew. 5. If the guest did not feel that the area was private why then did were they comfortable in being completely nude sun bathing all day. 6. The lounge chair was broken/ torn fabric by the guest. They was not charge because I do not believe it was damaged intentionally. 7. I believe these people did not like me telling them about walking their dog and I did not replace the lounge chair since there was six other chair with cushions, they had no problem in using. It should be noted that living in paradise comes with some unfriendly house guests (ie bugs), hence the property is treated on a regular basis. Over the years that we have hosted guests we have never had these issues or had any complaints. House keeping has been re-hired and re-trained! We immediately address all concerns brought to our attention and always try to go above and beyond to accommodate our guests in providing a clean, comfortable and private setting. We appreciate the feedback and have addressed all comments and concerns. SU CASA is better than ever and awaiting your arrival!

I wouldn't recommend this place...

I was disappointed upon arrival of Su Casa on 1/2/12 and we left 1/4/12 (we were suppose to be there through 1/7/12). The ad I saw was for a 2 bed and 1.5 bath place and showing a ranch house for the ad. The pictures in the ad do say that the ranch is the owner's house, but why is it up there if you don't say there. The place you stay in is the pool house, which is a one bedroom place. There is a fold out bed on the first floor, so my kids were sleeping there and it wasn't a problem. The floor is all ceramic tiles, which would be fine, but there are a lot of loose and cracked tiles all over the place.The 2 things that threw us over the top was the ad also said laundry before, now it is showing correct that it is coin operated laundry. The second thing was we found dead cockroaches in the master bedroom. The owner was apologetic about the problems that we had with the place and did everything he could to make us happy. He said that Homeaway was at fault because he could only click selections, but after we told him we were leaving. A half hour later Homeaway changed his ad. I would give this place one star, but the owner earned himself a star for doing what was right.

Owner response:My response / defense to Review # 4873941 1. Homeaway profile statement reflect having a one bedroom unit with a convertible pull out sofa bed. Homeaway system call that sofa bed as a bedroom. I did not. 2. The photo of the Ranch House clearly depicts in the caption as the Owner Home follow by the guest driveway. follow by the two story townhouse which clearly is stated on the caption of the add. This is not misleading. This is not a pool house containing 1,000 square feet of living area as claim by the visiting tenant 3. The responded stated that there was crack and loose tiles. This is inaccurate. There are no crack tile. The responded demonstrated to me upstairs by jumping up and down on a tile that it made nose as it was crack. On the surface he could not show me any cracks. The second floor has plywood underneath the tile so there is no cement when you walk on it. Down stairs in concrete flooring with no movement. 4. The Homeaway spread sheet with all listed amenities has a check mark box for washer/ dryer. That what I had checked. Now I have also place it in the body of the web page. 5.The cottage was recently exterminated two days prior to the guest arrival. The roaches that was discovered was behind the dresser which is not in plain view. This was missed by the cleaning person who I guess normally does not look behind dressers nor clean behind them. This has been taken in for future observation after exterminating. Being South Florida we do have a lot of insect and bugs through the year. Living in paradise comes with some unfriendly house guests (ie bugs), hence the property is treated on a regular basis. Over the years that we have hosted guests we have never had these issues or had any complaints. House keeping has been re-hired and re-trained! We immediately address all concerns brought to our attention and always try to go above and beyond to accommodate our guests in providing a clean, comfortable and private setting. Excellent Place to Stay!

The house was really nice. It looked better than the pictures portray. The owners were very accomadating of all our special needs. They are super nice people, very friendly but respectful of our privacy as well. We were there with 2 very small children and had a wonderful time. We would definitely recommend it to friends and relatives and would love to go back again.

Su Casa was just that excellent

Elizabeth and I stayed at Su Case for February and a part of March. For starters, the owners, Rene and Mimi, could not have been nicer. They treated us more like neighbors than tenants, all the while respecting our privacy. We thought the location great from the point of jogging/cycling/walking (which we do). Five blocks north in the direction of the Goodyear blimp hanger, you intersect with a 4.4 mile marked track (around the park and golf course) that keeps you out of traffic totally. The hot tub was a blessing after a loop or two around that track. The ameneties were fine - nice firm bed, good shower, for starters, and we particularly appreciated the fact that it was pet friendly (we have a small cat), and it seems fewer and fewer vacation rentals in Southeast Florida are pet friendly. Seven blocks over is Federal Highway, and within five miles north or south you can find far more restaurants than you will ever eat in during your stay. A really fine experience which we both very much enjoyed.
