Bear Canyon Cabin, Bessie's Cabin, is an authentic, refurbished, historic log cabin located in the heart of the great out-of-doors - yet is very accessible, located just eight miles east of historic downtown Bozeman.
The cabin is cozy, comfortable, and attention to detail creates a result that exceeds your expecations. There are two bedrooms, each with a log queen bed; a tiled bathroom w/ a clawfoot tub/shower; full and well equipped kitchen; washer/dryer; stereo, satelite TV/VCR, Phone;gass grill and picnic table.
Our location is very special in that we are adjacent to State and Forest Service lands, so there are hiking trails just outside the front door for you to enjoy and explore.
We also have a private outdoor hot tub and rocking chairs on the front porch for you to relax in. We have frequent visits from wildlife including deer, moose, black bear, and a variety of birds. The sounds of the nearby stream, the beauty of the artistic perennial flower gardens, and the surrounding evergreen forests will surely satisfy your longings for the mountains.
Winter visitors have the opportunity to visit nearby Bridger Bowl or Big Sky Resort for downhill skiing, and cross-country skiing can be found on the surrounding trails.
You'll enjoy the historical information and photos about Bessie Lawrence who homestead the property over a hundred years ago.
