But what is a vacation home if you don't feel at home? Mushpuppy Manor is set-up for kids of all ages! Provided at no additional charge; pack-n-play, toys, arts and crafts, games, DVD's, kids VHS tapes and video games! In addition there is a stereo alarm clock in each room and a total of 2 stereos and 3 television sets!
Mushpuppy Manor is in just about the perfect location! It is common to have mother and baby Elk outside your door in the morning or a Moose wandering across the driveway! You're at the base of Big Sky Resort, the lift is right there (less than 100 yards from the front door), 1.2 miles from the base of Moonlight Basin Ranch, mountain bike or Frisbee golf the mountain in the summer and shop the mountain or meadow villages all year. You are also 9 miles from Blue Ribbon Fly-fishing, white water rafting, kayaking and floating on the Gallatin River. A stream and hiking path run through the back yard. Plus, you're just 40 minutes to fly-fishing and snowmobiling in Yellowstone National Park.

I truly LOVE Big Sky Montana. As a full time resident, transplanted from Washington DC, I can tell you that this is a very special place. Mushpuppy Manor is named after my two Alaskan Malamutes, Ponder and Polar. As you can imagine, they love the snow as much as we do!
Why the Owner Chose Cascade
In 1998 I arrived in Montana for a ski vacation and instantly fell in love with its beauty and pristine nature. The easy, modern, uncrowded airport didn't hurt either. The following year, I visited in February and got engaged at the Huntley Lodge on Valentines Day while the ski school provided a torch run and fireworks for the occassion. By 2002 my new wife and I had decided to purchase a vacation home in Big Sky and chose this beautiful home in the Cascades subdivision. Since then, our kids (Dodson 8, Hunter 4) have become avid skiers and snowboarders. The skier daycare teachers love to see Hunter every year and they've enjoyed the same ski instructors since each was 2 years old. I now live in Big Sky full time, in a cabin on the Gallatin River--spending family vacations and summers in this beautiful luxury home. I invite you to come and share this truly special place.

The house has the most spectacular views in Big Sky. The living room faces Lone Peak and other views include the Spanish Peaks, Tobacco Roots, and Bucks Ridge. Regular visits from wildlife--foxes, moose, wolves, black bears, bald eagles, redtailed hawks, mule deer and whitetails--make every day a natural adventure. Great restaurants, The Black Bear bar within walking distance, trails,a winter fire on the deck, hot tubbing under an incredible starry sky, and so much more make every day a special vacation at our home.
