The second ocean front bedroom has a nice sized bathroom w/walk-in shower. The 3rd bedroom features 2 twin beds and offers a 3rd bath with a large walk-in shower. Stayed Thanksgiving week 2011 and had a wonderful and relaxing and much needed vacation in fabulous condo at the Silver Shells property.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+.

This condo was outstanding with beautiful furnishings. The view of the beach and the pool area is breathtaking. Silver Shells has absolutely everything you could possibly want in amenities and facilities. The elevator that takes you right into your unit is really special and the covered, reserved parking spot is extremely convenient. The location is perfect as well because it is very convenient to lots of shopping, restaurants and recreation choices. The owner and staff were very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend this rental to anyone who is interested in a first class vacation experience.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Robin, WOW, the condo was incredible. The panoramic view from the living room, master bedroom suite and 2nd bedroom suite was what we would consider a "million-dollar view"! The private elevator that took us right straight into our condo made us feel like we owned the entire building to ourselves. The assigned parking space was located at a perfect location. The security going in and out of the complex made us feel safe and VIP. The kitchen was very nice and we loved the full sized washer/dryer. We packed too many clothes with us. Next time, we will bring less and just wash our clothes.The outdoor pool was huge! Access to the beach was incredibly easy, fast, convenient. Every penny we paid was worth it plus more!!! We will never rent another hotel room or house to go to the beach. This condo was perfect from beginning to end. I can't say enough about this condo. Oh, and another big plus, we were excited that it was located a few mints from Walmart. That's where we bought our groceries, beach toys, etc and saved money! We only left the complex to eat dinner and shop. One fun thing that we did was when it got dark, we would go out to the beach with our flashlights and chase after these tiny little ghost crabs. Now that was total fun! Robin, we will return!

My family recently rented this unit for a long weekend. We have been renting condos in the Destin area for over 20 years. This condo was by far the best we have ever leased. The Silver Shells complex has more amenities than any other in the Destin area, and this unit is very nicely upgraded. The pictures do not adequately show how incredible the view is. I cannot recommend this unit highly enough, From now on I will always check to see if it is avaliable before I book. The owner and property manager were very easily to work with regarding check in and check out. The covered parking and Ruth's Chris on site delivery are added bonuses.
Recommended for:Families with young children.
