As a reference point, I'd like to first say that we stay in nice homes listed on VRBO for almost all of our vacations. Our family stayed at Casa Vedra for a week in February and it was everything we hoped for, and more. The home has a nice open floor plan with large windows to surround you with beautiful views everywhere. On the back side of the property is the beach and ocean just steps away, but a bonus view in front is the intercoastal waterway. When you look out windows in either direction you won't see a single home, and although you have neighbors on each side they are separated by palm trees and a nicely designed layout. Darlene and Chris thought of everything for this house. We met them for the first time at check in and they were very accomodating. The kitchen has every utensil, dish and appliance you would ever need and the furnishings are very comfortable and stylish. Everything is high quality in the house which is a real bonus when you stay somewhere for more than a few days. Of course the beach is only steps away and felt like our own private beach. I'm sure February is a quiet month but I can't imagine this beach ever getting crowded since it's in a quiet residential area. Each morning, walking out collecting seashells and enjoying long walks on a beautiful beach was so relaxing. The location in South Ponte Vedra Beach is also excellent. While you are in a quiet area, you are only 10 minutes from St. Augustine, 7 minutes from the grocery store, and 15 minutes from one of the best golf courses in the U.S. (Sawgrass). There is lots to do in St. Augustine and trading days between sightseeing and walks on the beach were wonderful. No worries here, the owners are great to work with and we fully recommend this beautiful beach house. Bring your camera so you can get pictures of the dolphins and pelicans you're sure to see.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our family. You made us feel very special upon our arrival. We enjoyed several of the restaurants that you suggested. The sunrises from master bedroom were breathtaking. We have rented homes around the world and Casa Vedra was one of the best we have ever rented. Your attention to details were not overlooked and it made our stay very relaxing. St. Augustine was a storybook city with so much history that we have decided to return the summer of 2012. Casa Vedra is a wonderful direct oceanfront home for relaxing and enjoying time with loved ones. Our parents enjoyed the private suite with first floor entrance. Kids had everything they needed for a full day of fun on the beach. Casa Vedra is beautifully furnished with every detail you can image. The owners are very pleasent and helpful with information about places to go in St. Augustine and surrounding areas. We stayed at Casa Vedra for our honeymoon and wow.....what a treat! Very well maintained and beautiful home with the beach right at our backdoor. The house is fabulous with a hugh master, huge closet, awesome kitchen, and very comfortable living room. We cannot say enough great things about this house.....hope to visit again soon!

My wife and I and two children stayed at Casa Vedra 6/18/11-6/25/11. We had a wonderful week at the beach and we were delighted to find Casa Vedra to be such a clean, bright and well-appointed home. What sets Casa Vedra apart is that the owners have taken great care to decorate and furnished it exquisitely, reflecting their contemporary taste and appreciation of the very best in quality. Everything in the home, from beds, to appliances, to entetainment systems is amongst the finest available. The owners' care and attention to detail resulted in our ability to relax right away, and feel as comfortable as if we were in our own home, with everything we needed available to us. Highly recommended!

Casa Vedra is paradise! This beautiful home is very carefully detailed; you feel like it is yours. The owners are very helpful and informed about the area and things to do. We woke up every morning to gorgeous sunrises while lying in bed - great way to start the day. The kids loved the outside hot water shower after hours on the beach and so did we. Kitchen had everything we needed and much more. Ice cream maker was a hit with the kids. Thank you for sharing your dream home and making us feel for a short time that it was ours.

Wonderful Family Vacation

My wife, daughter and I stayed at Casa Vedra for a week during the first part of Sept. 2010 and ended up meeting people who will remain our friends for the rest of our lives. The house was immaculate and included everything we needed for a stress free stay from beach toys for our daughter (and myself) to extra linens for the cool nights. The beach is literally a few short yards from the back deck. You're so close, you'll feel the spray on your face from the deck at high tide. Not to mention that the owners are courteous and professional. Only a few miles from downtown St. Augustine to the South and Sawgrass to the North, you'll be convenient to anything that you'd want to do.

Nancy and I stayed a week with another couple this February and loved every minute. The house is beautifully furnished and situation facing the beach Despite the cool and somewhat stormy weather we enjoyed the fireplaces, the sounds of the surf, and views from the ceiling to floor windows. The kitchen and bathrooms are luxurious. We found everything we needed. The house is very conveniently located and an easy drive into old St. Augustine We will definitely recommend this place to our friends.

Beautiful home with expansive views all along the east side of the house. You can stargaze from the master bed at night, then watch the sun come up in the morning. Great place to spend time with family--beach friendly with marble floors throughout. Lots of nearby activities to enjoy as well--Nature preserve, St Augustine, Jacksonville--all within a few minute drive. Beach was very secluded--no big crowds! Loved it!

This house is the perfect getaway from a busy life. It has everything, an incredible view, a private excess to the beach, two separate living areas, a BBQ, an outside shower, all kitchen supplies and tools you would need, a great selection of CDs and DVDs. My husband and I were married at the Lightner Museum Courtyard in St. Augustine, Fl. We held our small reception at this home and it was absolutely perfect! Our family and friends loved the big windows and boardwalk down to the ocean. We also stayed the week for our honeymoon. We even had our family come over again to grill and go to the beach towards the end of the week. It was private and relaxing, picture perfect.

Perfect Beach Experience

This home absolutely met every expectation we had. My husband and I along with our two adult children and their families wanted a true beach experience without the crowds and this was exactly what we got. The house is spacious and well equipped and very clean. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals, including a wonderful large gas grill. Having a bathroom for each bedroom is a real plus and the beds were very comfortable. This home is only 8 miles from St. Augustine and around 20 from Jacksonville Beach so the location is perfect, too. The beach front is uncrowded and at times we felt as though we had our own private beach. We plan to stay here again in the future and would definitely recommend it to any one looking for a large house on the beach. Also, the owners are very accommodating and friendly. We also received our refund of our security deposit in a very timely manner.

beach vacation

My husband and I have been renting homes on the beach for our vacation for years. This home, by far, surpassed any home we have stayed in. It was beautiful, clean, very comfortable and the owners were accommodating to our every need. We recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a luxurious stay on the beach. We are already planning a trip back.

My family rented their Vilano Beach house several years ago. While we enjoyed our vacation very much at the time, we did not expect their new house (Casa Vedra) to be so much more than we had hoped for. It is truly a luxury property in every way. I especially enjoyed the large walk-in shower with all kinds of water jets. The details are too many to mention, but the beds and linens were like sleeping on air. Our family was thrilled when we mentioned that it would be nice if the bedroom had a TV. The next day they had a flat screen TV installed in our bedroom. Talk about service. Pictures do not do the house justice. We will recommend Casa Vedra to our friends and we will return again. Chloel and family
