Accommodations:  Oceanfront Villa, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6-8)

Spectacular waterfront house, located in Guilford, Connecticut, in one of the most treasured locations on Long Island Sound. Secluded with its own sandy beach and boat dock, yet close to world-class attractions such as Mystic Seaport and the famous Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos. Just one and a half hours from New York and two hours from Boston.

If you are looking for an alternative to renting a vacation home in the Hamptons, or on Cape Cod, look no further. Bordered by protected land trust and surrounded by majestic oak trees, this exclusive getaway comes with a private beach, dock, and magnificent water views. You?ll wake up to the sound of the surf and to glorious sunrises. Relax on the spacious patio surrounded by waterfalls and fountains, or enjoy the spectacular water views from the wrap-around deck. Observe ospreys and herons searching for food. Or watch boats go by from the hot tub in the gazebo. Step down to the beach or go on the dock for sunning, swimming, kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, and diving. The privileged location of the house is further underscored by its proximity to classified scenic roads, offering plenty of opportunity for bike riding. In addition, a walking trail leads from the villa to many charming shoreline places.

With over 4500 square feet of living space and terrace area, the house is well proportioned to enjoy both indoor and outdoor waterfront living. Built in traditional New England-style with natural stone and weathered cedar shingles, the villa features nine designer-furnished rooms. There are three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a formal living and dining room joined by a large natural stone fireplace, as well as a large kitchen and family room. The entrance is through a stone lighthouse-style tower with foyer and an office with computer and Internet access located on top. The house sleeps up to eight people. With 250 feet of water frontage, all rooms in the villa offer magnificent water views and come with French doors opening up to a Mediterranean-style patio and wrap around decks.

The villa is located in the picturesque town of Guilford, a treasure trove of traditional New England colors, tastes and treats. Situated in the geographical center of the Northeast, Guilford is just a short drive away from the big metropolitan areas of New York, Boston, and Providence using either I-95 or the Shore Line Train. With its many shops, stores, antiquarians, museums, national historical landmarks, and restaurants, this historical town rivals the location of the Hamptons on Long Island. It?s just as close to New York plus it has the quintessential charm of many New England shoreline villages located on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, or Nantucket.

Located among New England?s most magnificent scenery, it?s also near the many attractions of towns such as New Haven (Yale University, Amistad Freedom Schooner), New London (USS Nautilus, submarine base), Essex (steam train, Gillette Castle) and Mystic?s old seaport (America?s largest Maritime Museum). In addition, premium and factory outlet stores as well as the world-class Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos are all within a short driving distance. Also, two main roads going into town are classified scenic drives and offer plenty of opportunities for sight seeing, bike riding and shoreline walking.
