This Lodge is the perfect place for family celebrations. Very spacious and comfortable, the kitchen is extraordinarily equipped. The games room for children and teens makes everyone happy! We were four families and had lots of fun. Et c'est seulement à 2 heures de Montréal. Vraiment chouette!!!

We had a great time. Had almost a full house but it was still big enough for us not to be on top of each other. We roasted marshmellows at the fire pit, watched home movies, had fun cooking and preparing food in the huge kitchen, sang karioke, had a Zumba instructor come in so we could burn off some of the food and then had a caterer drop off food and do a demo of sushi for us. In between we played games in the game room and utilized the sauna. This is the first time I rented a house and I had lots of questions and concerns that were addressed in a timely manner which was greatly appreciated. The family is talking about going back next year.

Week ending 07/03/10 - I rented this place for all my brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews and my family. Place is large and spaceous enough so you don't feel like you are on top of each other. Which was a good thing as it rained the week I was here. The games room has, pool, foosball, air hockey, darts, shuffle board and wii, plus a card table and bar. This was great. Kitchen is completely stocked and has every pot & pan etc you will need. Large living/dinning area. And a small tv room. Steam room was enjoyed by all. My only draw back is we are from Boston so we had a long drive. I would highly recommend this location for large groups.

We rented this house becasue we had a large group of volunteers coming to the assist with an event at Whiteface mountain. This house accomodated 32 of us comfortably. It was so spacious that at not time did we ever feel as though we were on top of each other, there was plenty of space for the younger volunteers to entertain themselves in the basement, while the older volunteers were able to spend time together without haveing to yell over them. The kitchen was very well stocked and we had plenty of everything we needed, they even had a garlic press! Overall this was a great place to stay for our trip and we hope to come back next year.

The Wild Goose lodge was a real godsend to us. I admit I was a bit leary renting a place sight unseen. However, the owner/rental agent, Mr. Tahy, was incredibly nice and helpful- going above and beyond our expectations to find answers to the questions I had. The place was beyond our expectations! The lodge was gorgeous, private and left us feeling like we had our own private hotel for the week. The pictures don't do it justice. We've already recommended it to several friends and hope that it will still be available to rent in the future, as I'm sure it will continue to gain popularity. The kitchen is topnotch the rest of the place was a combination of comfort with a touch of extravagance. There are very few places that are for large groups, are reasonably priced, and lets you feel like you are really on a relaxing getaway all at once- the Wild Goose is such a place.

The Wild Goose was perfect for our group of 8 adults and 8 kids, with plenty of room to spare. It was big enough to easily fit all of us and also had plenty of rooms to sneak away and have quite time if you needed. Awesome kitchen makes it easy to prepare food for your group and save money by eating in. Very well equipped with kitchen tools. Screened in porch was perfect to allow us to enjoy the outside without the bugs. We had tons of fun and lots of laughs in the game room. We were all very please and can not wait to go back again next year to make more memories at the Wild Goose.

I have spent time at this property on several occasions, including a wedding reception and a few winter snowmobile outings. This is a fantastic, quiet, wilderness area to relax in. I look forward to any return visits in the future.

My family rented the lodge from July 7th to 13th in 2009. The facility was absolutely fantastic. It was everything we had hoped for and more. It was even more spacious than expected and allowed our large group of five families (14 adults and 11 children aged 4 to 18) to spread out and enjoy ourselves. The kitchen had an impressive 6 burner commercial stove with grill for pancakes etc. The very spacious kitchen has two large commercial fridges and a large commercial freezer and an additional fridge which were more than ample for all of our food. There were plenty of seasonings and utensils, pots and pans to cook with. Two sinks and two dishwashers were also a major plus for cleanup. It was great to not have to bring sheets and towels also. The towels were very nice and some of the bed linens were brand new. There is a great new stone fire pit in the back of the house that we used nightly with many camp chairs and half a dozen adirondack chairs to sit in. We loved the front and back porches for morning coffee and just listening to the sounds of nature and relaxing. The large yard was great for horseshoes and volleyball. The game room in the basement of the Wild Goose lodge was very large and the kids enjoyed the pool table, shuffleboard and fooseball tables on colder or rainy days. We didn't watch tv but there are a number of large flat screen televisions throughout the house. I can't imagine a more well appointed house for a large group. We were celebrating my mom's 80th birthday and she had a wonderful time, as did all the other adults and kids. Some rooms did get a tad stuffy at night and bunk beds were a bit of a challenge, but did not detract from our stay. It was fantastic to have washers and driers available to keep up with the needs of a big group. The only thing missing is a lake. But we still had a fantastic stay. Saranac Lake was just a half hour away and Lake Placid only an additional 15 minutes. Several great hikes are well within an hours drive. The Adirondack Interpretive Center at Paul Smith's College was fantastic and has excellent hiking trails that are easy to manage for all ages. The Buck Pond Campground Beach is very nice. We checked it out one cool day but did not get a chance to swim. Day passes are only $8 per car and canoe rental is available for $20/day. There is also a great hike there called Little Haystack which was a great challenge for the adventurous. I would highly recommend the Wild Goose Lodge fo
