Escape to this lake view home overlooking Flathead Lake. The home has spectacular views of the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi as well as the Swan and Mission ranges of the Rocky Mountains. Walk to the lake ¼ mile where you can boat, swim, sail or fish from a public dock and boat ramp.
The property comes with a porch swing, hammock, propane barbecue grill, cable television and high-speed wireless internet. There is also an oversized double garage.
Located on the North end of Flathead Lake this home has a spectacular north to south view of Flathead Lake. And it is perfectly positioned between two excellent ski areas.
Nine golf courses, antiquing, art galleries, and live theater, shopping and dining are all abundantly available in the area. The National Bison Range, hunting, horseback riding, biking, water slides and hiking in the Jewel Basin and hundreds of other places are also in the area.
Spectacular Glacier National Park is less than an hour’s drive. Take a day trip to one of the most spectacular places in the Rocky Mountains for hiking, sightseeing, taking pictures or whitewater rafting.
The quaint adorable town of Bigfork is ten miles to the east, Lakeside is five miles to the south, and downtown Kalispell is ten miles to the north. Classy Whitefish, Montana is 30 minutes north.
If you want to stay real local, take a stroll down the shoreline on the paved bike trail to the historic logging town of Somers for breakfast at Somers Bay Café. Or walk five minutes down to Vista Linda for tasty Mexican food and scrumptious margaritas. Tie Bucker’s restaurant and Dell’s Bar, both in “downtown” Somers are terrific local establishments where you can wet your whistle and satisfy your appetite for wonderful cuisine. The Mackinaw’s Grill, also within walking distance, has excellent food and a fabulous lake view.
In the winter, enjoy two ski resorts within 45 minutes drive, Blacktail Mountain and Whitefish Mountain (previously called The Big Mountain). Some other winter time fun activities include snow shoeing, x-country skiing and snowmobiling. Or go down to the Lake when it is frozen over and do some ice fishing, ice-skating or cross-country skiing.
The home is 1400 square feet. The upper level houses the fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable and relaxing living room, and the large master bedroom with bath. The spacious wraps around the upper level. The master bedroom has a Queen bed and French doors that open onto the deck.
Downstairs are two additional bedroom; one with a queen sized bed and the other with two twin beds. The family room has a double sized hide-a-bed couch.
There are no stairs to enter the house on the lower level but about 15 steps to enter off the upper deck into the kitchen. There is a single car parking pad adjacent to the house. The detached garage is just 100 feet down a path through the nicely landscaped front yard. Adjacent to the garage, you will find a large parking pad for an RV, boat, or trailer.
