After arriving at the quaint Kona airport at Keahole, you're only a 20-minute drive from the famous Ali'i Drive and your home away from home on the Bid Island. Constructed in 2008, the Maluna Palm overlooks the beautiful west coast of the island and is within 5 minutes of the heart of Kailua-Kona.
Spend the day sipping a fresh fruit smoothie and soaking up the sun by the private pool with an ocean view or take the boogie boards, snorkel gear, and beach chairs that are provided with the home to explore one of the many beaches on the island.
After a day in the sun, grill a fresh fish dinner on the outdoor gas BBQ and sit back on the west-facing covered lanai to enjoy a gorgeous Hawaiian sunset. In the evening , catch a movie on the large, flat screen TV and dim the lights with the remote controlled lights and ceiling fan in the master bedroom.

Owned and managed by the same people who own the Maluna Palm (VRBO 301316), both homes are located within 100 yards of each other at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood, offering the peace and privacy couples search for, but also the ability to reserve both houses at the same time and comfortably accommodate up to 20 people (10 per house)!
We have maps and itineraries on site to help you with your stay. Take a trip to the active volcano and see the lava flow or challenge yourself on one of the many golf courses on the Big Island. All beaches on the Big Island are public so let us fill you in on where the best beaches are located! Make sure you get a 4-wheel drive rental car if you want to visit the Waipio Valley. The lookout is fantastic but if you don't have a 4 x 4, you will need to walk down to the valley floor to enjoy the black sand beach at the bottom. This is a great day trip you will not want to miss!
We have a property manager in the neighborhood to help with any issues, answer your questions, and to tell you about the area. He can also provide additional services for a fee such as shuttle services to the airport or around town, cooking, stocking the fridge prior to your arrival, or daily cleaning services.

The home is 800 feet above sea level so the temperature is cooler and the breeze keeps the home cooler. The location is close to everything in a quiet neighborhood which made it desirable for us to stay there and share the home with other vacationing guests.

We have a property manager in the neighborhood to help with issues, answer questions, tell you about the area and maintains the landscaping and pool so everything is in top shape before, during and after your arrival. We had a wonderful time here. The house is amazing and the view is absolutely breathtaking. We had plenty of room to have friends and family over to grill and swim. Todd was really great - he was helpful and courteous. Thank you for renting this house to us.

My family and I just returned from renting this house for a week. We really enjoyed our time in this home. The check in was simple, and the house is in great condition. It was a huge plus to have the pool - we had a lot of fun swimming after the sun went down. This was our first visit to the Big Island, and I was happy with our location. The drive to town was 5 minutes and you are near Highway 11 which takes you about everywhere you need to go. Thanks!

I've been twice and this house is fantastic. The location is great!! It is in a secluded neighborhood with no through traffic and it also has easy access to shopping, downtown Kona and getting to the beaches. I brought the kids one of the times and it was plenty of room for our family of six and our friends family of five. Everything is clean, new and the pool and landscaping is beautiful. I will be returning and will recommend it to all my friends.

We highly recommend this home and definitely plan to return. We stayed in this home for 2 weeks during February 2010. The setting is beautiful, we spent many evenings watching the sunset out by the swimming pool or enjoying the ocean view during breakfast. The house is georgous, spacious and clean. It has everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. It is convenient to shopping and sightseeing. We visited Kona to get married, this was a great home for our honeymoon! And thanks to Rob, he was great to work with throughout the rental process. He's very nice and professional.
