Via 38 ~ Laguna is located on the famed Avenida quinta. You have immediate walking access to some of Latin America's most international and chic nightclubs, restaurants, hotels and shops. Ideal for families, couples and/or just friends. Cabs are everywhere and reasonably priced for those who have a direct location. When you have had enough of the immense all night fun that Playa offers then return to your lovely and quiet home for a marvelous night's sleep.
Located just 200 meters from the beach Via 38 ~ Laguna has 3 large bedrooms and 4 full baths. The bedrooms are all located on the second floor and are well removed from all of the family gathering areas. Each bedroom has their own individual central air conditioning - very quiet. There is a ceiling fan as well for those who do not desire A/C. The bedrooms are equipped with electric curtains to darken the room for a good nights sleep. For those that like it pitch black, you can close the hurricane shutters outside the window for a cold cave-like affect.
There is a large veranda off the living room to gather - have morning coffee, evening cocktails or just watch the kids swim in the 83 foot pool. There is a smaller balcony off the master bedroom with the same view. On the roof you have a FABULOUSLY large private deck with Jacuzzi, gas grill, sink, large seating area, chaise lounge and dinning table. You have amazing views of the ocean, heavily forested park across the street as well as other parts of Playa.

I first visited Playa del Carmen in 1992. I was stunned at the growth that has taken place since that time. The social scene is as out of control fun as I have ever witnessed - Anywhere. Fantastic restaurants and clubs, gorgeous people - hot dance scene. I actually would give it egual club rating to the nightspots of Sobe. This condo is beautiful and is a wonderful reprieve from all of the frenzied excitement of the 24/7 Latin nightlife. Great location, (on 5th), yet removed enough that you can completely gel in total silence. Beautifully appointed - Kudos to the decorator. A definite return destination. Ciao ~ James L.

We went to Playa del Carmen having heard all about the hot international party scene, but some of our group (8 people total) had kids so we needed family activities too. Friends recommended Laguna at Via 38! It was perfectly located for all of the action and it was great for families too--a great pool, beach 1 block away and lots of easy to get to family stuff. We could be in the action as much as we wanted or just lay out by the pool or the beach too. As for Laguna--all I can say is "WOW!!!!" We have never rented a condo that meant everyone's needs and was so luxurious and comfortable at the same time. It is now our home away from home and is our annual group destination.

Luxury, privacy, comfort, beauty, nightlife, quiet and tranquility. We lucked into the best place in Playa. I checked out the condo megalopolis to the south, as well as fine hotels and Via 38 has the best location in the heart of Playa. It is convenient walking distance to excellent restaurants and shopping and the beach (if you can tear yourself away from the pool). The architecture is fabulous, beautiful stone tiles everywhere. The condo is so spacious I suspect it was originally two. The rooftop area is inviting for an evening drinking margaritas, watching the moon and clouds from the hot tub. During the day you can watch the parasailing over the turquoise sea. There are 3 flatscreen TV’s, a large DVD collection and a WII for the kids. A well-stocked bookcase, beach towels and chairs. Helpful friendly staff, maid service every couple of days, (more if you request),.… We brought two younger kids, there is room to bring our grown kids and grandkids next time. There will absolutely be a next time!

Spacious and wonderfully appointed condo. The 38th section of 5th avenue is truly one of the most elegant parts of 5th avenue. We had 6 adults in our group and all of us concur that this was the best yet trip to Playa. Will definitely be repeating our stay! Loved it!

This was our third time in Playa Del Carmen for my wife. As we were a group of 3 couples, this 3 bedroom penthouse in Playa Del Carmen was absolutely amazing. The location is perfect. It's a very quite location and yet not far from the activity center of town and just a bloc from the beautiful beach. The unit is very elegant, spacious and very well equipped. The maintenance staff keeps the grounds impeccable. I highly recommend renting this unit for a family or group vacation in Playa.
