What an amazing hidden gem, perfectly positioned in the heart of Paris. You can walk to Jardin des Plantes, Notre Dame and The Louvre. There is a Metro on the next corner and three Velib bike stations close by. However, these are not the best reason to stay here - that is Catherine, the owner. Upon arriving she greets you and shows you the apartment, which is exactly as the description, comfortable and sunny. She then invites you to her apartment for a drink and will help you with anything you need during your stay - restaurant reservations, taxies, local knowledge, all with done with a lovely smile. We had an amazing stay, and when our arteries have processed the rich (but soooo good!) French food we will be back!

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Paris and Catherine's apartment and hospitality were one of the main reasons why. The flat was roomy, bright, and perfectly located. Catherine was quite helpful in taking care of everything we needed. We have done several VRBOs and this was our best experience. We will definitely be back.

I just returned from my second trip to Paris with my 15 year old daughter and stayed at Catherine's flat. It is very clean, comfortable and feels like home. Even better is Catherine's hospitality and charming personality. She makes sure you have all and any information you need to make your trip enjoyable. I will absolutely stay here again! The location of the flat is great and close to the metro.

Though I've visited Paris numerous times, my recent trip was one of the best, due to Catherine's hospitality and her spotless, charming and conveniently located flat. Traveling solo this trip as part of a study group, I was fortunate to find such a wonderful 'home' to return to each evening. Am already looking forward to my next visit.

My sister and I had the pleasure of staying at Catherine's charming apartment the last week of September. It was even nicer than the pictures indicated; bright, homey, very comfortable...really felt like home. Catherine is a kick and couldn't have treated us more hospitably. I highly recommend your staying here.

We were absolutely thrilled with this accommodation. So much better than a hotel. Our hostess made us feel so very welcome.....she is the epitome of hospitality. She was graciously available to help with recommendations and directions and at the same time respectful of her guests privacy. The flat is very well equipped with everything needed for a French breakfast....and then some! I dare you to find one molecule of dust!.....spotless. The stairs may be a challenge for some but for us, so worth it! We will recommend this apartment to friends for sure.

Stayed for a week at the end of August with husband. Smallish but cute Parisian apartment. Feels homey which is nice compared to a hotel. Kitchenette is small but very useful for simple breakfast and snacks. Bathroom is newish and clean. Location is convenient, very near metro, easy walk to Seine river, and close to St.Germain des Pres where there are many restaurants that are open late. Immediate neighbourhood is nothing special but safe. Owner Catherine lives upstairs is very nice and helpful, she let us use her washer for laundry and even folded our clothes! Strongly recommend for couple/2 people, would be a little too small for more than that.

My teenage niece and I had a wonderful time in Paris due to the excellent location of this great apartment, the amenities (we appreciated the wi-fi, a stocked refrigerator, comfortable beds, wonderful bathroom and shower) and the wonderful information and help from Catherine. It was nice to have excellent boulangeries, restaurants, markets and famous sites (Notre Dame, the left bank, etc.) so close that walking was the way to go. The metro Jussieu was a one minute walk from the apartment with easy access to the rest of the city. Catherine provided us with a map of the city as well as a detailed map to the area within walking distance of the apartment with markets, cheese shops, sites, all highligted. I would highly recommend this aparment for the location, the ambience, the cleanliness and above all Catherine who really gave us enough information that we felt we could walk, take the metro and yes even the bus with ease. We felt we had a friend in the city as soon as we met her. Even the three flight of stairs gave an added benefit - my calves were definitely toned at the end of our stay! We would stay here again anytime!

My husband Len and I are from New York and this was our fifth visit to Paris; our second renting of an apartment through VRBO. We chose this apartment because we know and enjoy the lifestyle of the Latin Quarter. Catherine has created a home away from home for travellers. The apartment offers lots of natural light and is furnished so that your eye always falls on something of interest. There was a soft, gentle breeze in the evenings. The apartment is quiet; located very close to two outdoor markets, the Mosque which is a must see has a lovely open restaurant to have lunch and it is easy walking to the Seine. Ten minutes to Notre Dame.

I visited Paris for vacation a second time in 2 years, and chose once again to rent Catherine's apartment. I appreciate the location, the amenities, and the comfort of it feeling like a home away from home. Unfortunatey I was not able to say hello to Catherine in person this time (hi!), she arranged for her niece to be on-site. My expectations were met again: the unit is clean and comfortable. Catherine provided an updated map with recommendations for markets, restaurants, etc. Thank you once again for making my visit wonderful. I will surely be back again soon.

It is in a terrific location for exploring Paris by foot or the Metro is nearby if you tire of walking. Catherine was very helpful with directions, maps, restaurant recommendations and shopping tips. The food, the arts, the sites were all wonderful! We can't wait to go back for a longer stay and visit with Catherine again.

We are an active senior couple from Australia who were fortunate indeed to have found this beautiful apartment through VRBO. We stayed for one week in early June. It really lived up to the photographs, description and reviews and was a lovely apartment for two people: spotlesslessly clean; very quiet and secure; lovely comfy bed; well appointed and in easy walking distance to the Seine and Notre Dame and many delightful restaurants and gardens. For other destinations the Metro was just a few minutes walk away. However the real delight was Catherine, the owner, who lives in the apartment above and who made us feel welcome and at home. She was extremely helpful in every way - even helping us plan for our daily excursions which all helped us to have a wonderful week in Paris. Would certainly stay here again - if we are lucky enough to return to Paris.

This was our first experience using VRBO and we couldn't have chosen a better place to call home during our 2-week stay in Paris. The apartment is lovely, cozy, sunny and the hostess provided us with everything we could have asked for. Breakfast items were well stocked and delicious. Catherine was so charming, relaxed and helpful that we felt so welcome. She even straightened out a very important lunch reservation that had gotten mixed up through our e-mails from home. We had a wonderful vacation in Paris. We loved the location of the apartment and felt like locals. All the major sites are close by. Highly recommended and we hope we can come back soon! Thank you, again, Catherine for helping to make our time in Paris so very special. Cheri & Sal

I just returned from staying at this charming apartment in the heart of Paris!!! Excellent accomodations - while the apartment has a parisian feel, it also has modern conveniences. Generous size bedroom - the bed comfortably fit me and a friend - and plenty of closet space to store your items, and a bathroom that will make you feel at home. The apartment is located near the Seine, Notre Dame, and my absolute favorite place - the ile st louis!!! Seriously, only a five minute walk to any of these places. Also, within walking distance to the trendy Marais district. Many excellent bars, restaurants, and cafes in the neighborhood. Also, there is a small kitchen in the apartment that includes a refrigerator, cups, dishes, utensils, and a coffee maker! Catherine, the owner, was extremely pleasant and hospitable. Before we arrived she mapped out our directions to the apartment, and upon our arrival had snacks and coffee/tea for us. She also provided us with maps and many, many excellent recommendations. I highly recommend you stay here if you want a true parisian experience!!! I definitely plan to return!

This flat is just as charming and lovely in real life as the photos show. It has windows on both sides so those of you who are fans of natural light will love it. It is a cheerful and warm little nest. The bed is firm and comfortable (always a gamble in a vacation rental) The whole area quiets down at night so you will have no problem getting a good nights' sleep. The closest metro is literally right down the street - it couldn't be easier. And the delightful owner Catherine, who lives right above, is entirely available to you in her open and charming manner to assist you with any questions you have during your stay, a truly comforting bonus if you are traveling alone or are unfamiliar with Paris. There is no stove for cooking in the small kitchen area (the ONLY drawback for me) so this wouldn't suit a true culinary person but I honestly did not miss it because the whole area has such wonderful cafes and restaurants and bakeries for eating out or bringing meals home. It's an excellent excuse not to cook ! I've stayed in several VRBO flats in Paris before. This is by far my favorite and my first choice when I return to Paris again.

Catherine, the perfect french hostess! Merci! What a wonderful stay we had at Catherine's flat in the Latin Quarter in,Paris. We knew from our first emails with Catherine that 16 Rue LInne would be the place to stay. Catherine is always prompt with her emails and they are clear and concise. The pictures of the flat on the VRBO website represent the flat 100%. The flat is fully remodeled and not one thing was missing. We were greeted with our own bottle of wine and the flat was stocked with coffee, tea, cocoa, cookies, jam butter, juice, a beer, toaster, microwave, coffee pot...need I say more? Not one detail was missed to make our stay enjoyable and complete. Oh, did I forget to mention fresh croissants and bread? Yes fresh breads in the morning. The bathroom was also stocked with necessary items one might have forgotten. The flat is in very good repair, very quiet with double pained windows, very clean and the bed and linens are so cozy for the cool fall Parisian nights. The rooms are also decorated with personal belongings from around the world from personal travels. Oh yes, free Wi-Fi and french TV too. The steam heater would come on when the temperatures dropped to a certain point and the steam also ran through the towel bars for dry and warm towels. There was always hot water We were a short walk to the metro too!. The location was very safe. Catherine sent us metro tickets from the main train station for our arrival to Paris along with directions to finding the flat. She supplied us with maps and information as well as arranging our taxi for our departure to the airport. We feel as if we became good friends with Catherine, even though we only had 3 nights there. We were invited into her flat above for juice and general information about the metro, sights etc upon our arrival. Would we stay there again? YOU BET!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent location in the Latin quarter within easy walking distance to the outdoor markets, the Seine, Notre Dame Cathedral, Luxembourg Gardens and the Panteon. The photos on the web site accurately depic the apartment. For those who like to start the day with a morning run or walk, the Jardin de Plantes is only 2 blocks away. The landlady, Catherine LeGuay, is warm, energetic and friendly. Her directions from the airport via the train/metro system were precise and it saved us $$$ compared to taking a taxi. Upon our arrival, she had a fresh pot of coffee waiting for us. During our introductions, she gave us very helpful hints for our visits to the Louvre and Montmartre. The only downside to the apartment is the 3 flight of steps which will be problematic for those with physical disabilities. All-in-all, it was a great experience; I've already recommended this apartment to friends, and my wife and I will certainly book the apartment next time we go to Paris.

My husband and I are a retired couple who chose Paris for our first trip to Europe. We found Catherine's flat on the vrbo site for the Latin Quarter, where we'd decided to stay for our 10-day first venture to France. From our very first email enquiring about the flat, Catherine was more like an old friend or family member than a "landlord." She answered every question we had promptly and thoroughly as we asked things that would help us make our decision about where to stay during our vacation. When we arrived at the flat, we were met by Catherine downstairs, and she helped us to carry our bags up the three flights of stairs to our flat, which was just below her own apartment. The flat looked EXACTLY as wonderful as the photos on the website; cozy, EXCEPTIONALLY clean, with brand new bathroom appliances and fixtures, topped off by a refrigerator filled to the brim with fresh breakfast items and drinks. After showing us around, Catherine then invited us up to her apartment after we got settled for coffee and biscuits. We chatted like old friends, as she brought out maps and restaurant suggestions in the neighborhood. We felt like true Parisians in this student-populated neighborhood that was filled with bustling locals during the day, but completely quiet and serene each evening. We would never stay anywhere else in Paris, thanks to Catherine's warm personality, her helpfulness and attention to our every request! It goes without saying that we would recommend this property to our friends and family; but not during the time WE want to be there! Merci beaucoup, Catherine!

This little gem is perfectly situated near a metro station and walking distance to so many things. Catherines recommendations on local restaurants and shops were 'bang on' and further contributed to an outstanding Paris experience. The apartment was tastefully furnished, and Catherine took care of any asks that we had. I won't hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to Paris, which given this experience, may be sooner rather than later. The apartment was quiet and very well laid out with great windows, a comfortable bed and sizeable bedroom and washroom. If it's available during your dates you'll want to grab it as you won't be disappointed and it will add to the pleasure of fully experiencing Paris.

We just got our pictures back from our Paris trip and looking at them makes us feel like we are reliving the fabulous time we had. I must tell you that if it wasn’t for you, we surely would have missed out on a lot, starting with renting your comfortable bungalow; for us, it was perfect. Everything was exactly as you said it would be. Nice and clean and well furnished; we couldn’t have asked for better…and, by the way, thanks for the use of the robes; made us feel like we were in a five-star hotel. We were quite impressed with all the information you provided…destinations, shopping, marketing, maps, metro usage…WOW!…you helped us do it all! You are totally awesome. We tell our friends about you; and I’m sure in the near future, you will be hearing from them. Also, we now have a friend in VBRO. God Bless and Safe Skies.

Our time in Paris was magical. Thanks to Catherine and her perfect apartment made for two we were quite at home in Paris. We stayed 7 nights very comfortably in October. The metro station is on the same street so that made getting around Paris easy. Catherine provided a map of great restaurants and points of interest in the immediate area and we used it more than any other maps we had with us. Our favorite meals were within walking distance to the apartment. This is a great location. Thank you Catherine for a fantastic place you’ve made for us. We hope to visit you again very soon. I stayed six (6) nights in Paris at this absolutely gorgeous apartment. It was my dream "Parisian" apartment. My hostess was incredibly helpful, charming, entertaining, generous with her time and just lots of fun! The hostess was always available if I needed help, which I was very grateful for. The apartment is walking distance to the wonderful Mouffetard market, the Jardins des Plantes and lovely local restaurants, shops and cafes. The Metro stop is only down the road and then less than four (4) stops away from the Louvre region. You can even walk to Notre Dame, Germaine des Pres and on to the Louvre from this apartment, which I did. Paris is such a wonderful city to walk around and this apartment is fabulously located. As I have been to Paris a couple of times, I like to stay in a "locals" area. This apartment is a "locals" area and that makes it so special - and still unbelievably handy to everything. Everything available to you in the apartment is high quality and you will not want for anything.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Paris, then you are my kind of people, because I can not say enough about this amazing city. But if you wish to have a very high quality experience, a quiet bit of luxury from which to plan your daily excursions while sipping your vin blanc sec or your morning noisette you should try to book a date with Catherine as soon as possible for this wonderful and charm filled flat. We stayed for 2 solid weeks and had smiles on our faces the entire time. More like a dear friend or family member, Catherine saw to it that our every question was answered, our every need was addressed from where to shop for the best wine and cheese to which metro to take for the most fun filled jaunts to all parts of the city. From the first croissant right up to securing our final early morning cab ride, we were cared for like honored guests. If you can stay here, we recommend it most highly.

We stayed at this lovely, charming, walk-up apartment in the Latin Quarter of Paris and cannot recommend it highly enough! It is a very safe, comfortable, and clean place from which to base your sightseeing. Conveniently located just a minute’s walk from the Jussieu Metro station and multiple bus stops, two minutes from Jardin des Plantes park, and a 10 minute walk from Notre Dame, the apartment makes everywhere in Paris readily accessible. Fruit stands and food stores, sidewalk cafes, and shopping are all just outside the front door. Catherine provides not only a fantastic continental breakfast to start each day but is available to help and advise with any question from which sights to see to where to eat to how to get somewhere. The best part of staying here is feeling a part of a neighborhood rather than like a tourist. We will definitely return here when we travel to Paris again.
