Watch the migrating whales. Observe the sea lions and birds at Arch Rocks Federal Refuge. Play in the sand dunes, and visit Cape Kiwanda dory fleet. Visit the world famous Tillamook Cheese Factory, Pioneer Museum, as well as the Air Museum and Quilt Museum. Just one and a half hours from Portland.

Why the Owner Chose Cape Meares
We love this home for it's proximity to the water and it's private setting. It is situated in the middle of 400 acres of forest land. Only a short drive to the ocean. Originally, we thought the home was far more than what we could afford, 3200 square feet, 4 bedrooms, it's larger than the home we live in full time. But we were able to purchase it and have loved sharing it with our family and our rental guests.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy quiet times around the double sided fireplace or outside at the fire-pit. The large deck out front looks over the Tillamook Bay and is great for coffee in the morning. The private hot-tub is a must have and we use it at least once a day. We love the master suite with the private Jacuzzi tub. We also use the large family-room for group retreats aand meeting space. The real unique thing is the 4 horse stalls we added. We and our guests can bring horses right to the property. Then we trailer to the nearby BayOcean Spit for an 8 mile ride around the bay, over sand dunes, through the forests and down the long ocean beach. There is nothing like it!
Bring the car or truck and horse trailer for plenty of parking. Then hike or ride horseback on some of the best trails on the Oregon Coast. Bay side, Sand Dunes, Forest Land and the beautiful Pacific

We live in a rural community on 20 acres and love a county lifestyle and horseback riding. We also are very community oriented and do many outreach programs through our church and other local organizations, mostly with equestrian acitivities and music.
