BEACH RETREAT CONDOMINIUMS 2746 Scenic Gulf Drive, Destin, Florida , located east of the heart of Destin. BEACH RETREAT is located on beautiful Miramar Beach, Florida, the largest expanse of unobstructed beach on Scenic Gulf Drive. BEACH RETREAT is a private,gated beach community. We are a newer complex, consisting of only 44 units and 4 stories. Each floor has 2 elevators , a trash chute, two stairwells and is lighted at night for your convenience.
The 3000sq.ft.pool, with it's tropical landscape is exceptional. There is a beautiful hot tub with spray fountains. Large pergolas , two of which are shaded for relaxing while reading or another for sunbathing.Pool side chase lounges. You have two chairs/umbrella reserved for your daily use at the beach. WiFi available poolside and also restroom facilities.
We have a large club house, complete with kitchen, big screen TV, and game tables. The club house can be reserved for varied family functions. An exercise room is also available.
Scenic Gulf Drive is "the beach road" for Destin. Ride your bike, walk your pets, or take a leisurely stroll along the length of this beautiful beach corridor. Pompano Joes, Kenny D's, Whale's Tail, The Crab Trap are popular beachside restaurants.
There is no on site property manager and security is provided during high season .
BEACH RETREAT #409 : This is a premier, top floor unit,(4th floor) with a panoramic view of The Gulf of Mexico. There are two elevators per level and stairs, also an interior trash chute. Plenty of parking space and luggage carts for your convenience.
The King Master Bedroom with ensuite bath, walk in closet, and a slider to the balcony providing you with a great Ocean View from your bed . Beautifully furnished.

Why the Owner Chose Beach Retreat
Jim and I have owned property in Destin since 1988, founders of pet friendly condos in 1992 and one of the first VRBO customers in Destin . Destin's incomparable beauty is obvious . We were one of the first to reserve a pre construction unit in Beach Retreat . We prefer a low rise, low density complex with an adjoining private beach, it met our criteria. The beach can never be built on. Beach Retreat is a beautiful property , in a beautiful location . Collectively , we have the longest open stretch of beach on Scenic Gulf Drive.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Beach Retreat #409 is a top floor unit, beautifully decorated, with tiled floors( conducive to pet friendly rentals). We have an executive cleaning service and maintenance person that makes sure your accomodation meets your expectations. We reside in the adjoining Avalon Beach Estates, and are always available when needed.
Our unit's decor is exceptional . All beds have pillow top mattresses, bedrooms have black out drapes , washer/dryer, all linens are provided . On the 20' balcony you will find stereo speakers , a bistro table, a dining table and two chaise lounges. Each room is equipped with a volume controlled sound system. The King Master with ensuite bath, has an awesome Gulf Front view and balcony access. Each room has tropical ceiling fans. The unit is 1200sq. ft. This is a beautiful unit !

The owners of Beach Reteat # 409, are Jim and Sherry McDaniel and our wonderful schnauzer "Pepper II". We were the founders of pet friendly properties in the Destin area. Jim is a recognized and sucessful real estate agent with REMAX Paradise Properties . I manage our rental properties and assist others with decorating their condos and helping them learn to sucessfully manage their properties. We have belonged to the Destin Chamber of Commerce since 1992 and are active in community affairs.

We had an excellent stay in Destin. The room was gorgeous. It had everything that we needed. There were a lot of things that we would have not needed to bring because the room provided it (Beach chairs, toys, rafts, kids books and dvd's, etc.) We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return in the future. Our cocker spaniel, Zoe, wants to especially thank you for letting her stay!!!! Also, our girls loved the bunk beds (even though they were too little yet to sleep on the top bunk). The one and only complaint that we had was that the condo stated it had a heated pool and it was not heated. In fact, it was freezing cold. We could not get in the pool all week long. Even our children would not get in it because it was so cold. That was disappointing because our kids love the pool. Other than that, we loved our room and stay!!!

We just returned from this beautiful condo and can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our visit. We have been to Destin several times but never in this area, always nearer the bay area.This area is perfect and right at the beach. The grounds and pool are beautifully kept! This unit being on the fourth floor, gives you a great view of the beach. We are already talking about bringing our bikes next year to enjoy the walking/bike path right in front of the condo. Our only negative comment,is that the pool was so cold! We read in one review, that the pool was heated in March, could have used a little heat in October. Our granddaughter was in there everyday, for short periods of time, even though it was bitter cold.

My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks in September 2011 in this condo and it was the best vacation we have every been on! Location! Location! is great! The views of the ocean are awesome along with a nice size balcony. We were able to take our little girl Sophie. (7 pound maltese) The decor was nicely done and gave me some ideas to take back home! We will stay at this condo again! Thanks Jim and Sherry

Great Condo! When we arrived we meet the owner very nice man he walked us thur everything about the condo. It was very clean the view from the balcony was great. I will book this condo again.

We have stayed here several times over the last several years and always enjoy it. The complex isn't too large like some of the high rises in Destin but has all of the amenities one would want. The room is furnished nicely and always clean...plenty of room. The large balcony is very nice to sit and watch the incredible ocean view. We like the location b/c it is a nice equal distance to just about anywhere you would want to go to in Destin. The large pool is nice and having it heated in March is very nice to swim since the ocean in March can be a bit chilly. The umbrella and chairs are a plus as well for the beach. Photos on the website are very accurate. Waverunner and kayak,parasail rentals are very nearby for the more adventurous. Excellent shopping at Destin Commons and Silver Shells mall as well as Grand Boulevard. We have enjoyed Harry T's,The Back Porch to eat but probably would not go back to Bubba Gump(long wait and food was not that great).Captain Daves has a nice view but food is mediocre for the price. Jim and Sherry have always been more than helpful to our family since we have stayed in their unit...going way out of their way when we had car trouble once.Would not want to stay anywhere else.

This unit is great! It sits across the street from the Gulf and has an amazing view of the beach. We thought the two lane street would be a distraction, but it was barely noticable. The unit itself is very nice with comfortable furniture, a good sound system, and good TVs. We especially love the huge fans which move a lot of air on hot days. Having breakfast and a devotional on the balcony each moring was wonderful. A great unit for a reasonable price. The owners are also very nice to work with and make everything easy to rent this condo. It is also pet friendly for dogs to 35 pounds and the owners do not require an extra pet deposit if you keep your dog groomed and don't leave any pet hair behind. Our family has styed at this unit 3 times over the past 4 years and we will be back next year.

We simply enjoyed our stay at your condo. You were so very helpful with informing us about the area seeing is was our first time in Destin. The condo was simply wonderful; clean, beautfiully decorated and comfortable. What a spectular view from the balcony...enjoyed having breakfast or a few drinks later each day. Also loved the speaker system in the condo which included the balcony. We can't get over how relaxing our visit was. We'll definitely be back!

We have rented this unit before and will do so again. Whether spending your day on the beach under the provided umbrella or enjoying the view from the balcony, you can't have a more relaxing vacation. The unit is beautifully decorated and has all conveniences (HDTV, WiFi, DVD, plenty of TVs, etc.). We love renting from Jim & Sherri because you know your accommodation will be top notch. Even though spring break can be a crowded time in Destin, the property is small enough to have that quaint feeling, but large enough to have all needed amenities. The location can't be beat. When we're coming to Destin, we don't even look for other properties.....we just e-mail Jim & Sherri.

We enjoyed our stay at your lovely condo. It was wonderful, and I have to say the beds were so comfortable and the unit was decorated so nicely that we had a really nice experience. Just wanted to say thanks for offering a beautifully kept, sparkling clean home away from home. Our dog is part of our family and we don't like having to sacrifice travelling w/our furry friend in order to have nice accommodations - your condo was a treat.
