Family of 4 Fabulous Time

We loved coming "home" to Tree Frog Cottage. It was so much fun. We were there from July 30-August 6. I think we just beat the hurricane season as it did not rain much at all. It rained during the night 2 nights and only for a few minutes during 2 of the days we were there. Tree Frog Cottage was perfect for my husband and 2 daughters (both age 7). The sleeper sofa was comfortable for our daughters and the Queen bed in the lower level was cool and very comfortable at night with the fans and the A/C going. Since it was August the weather was hot and it was necessary to have the A/C at night. During the day we opened up all the upstairs windows and enjoyed a wonderful cross-breeze. Downstairs, we kept the air on during the day while we were there in the a.m and early evening. We stayed gone snorkling in that beauiful Caribbean water every day. It was so nice to have the use of a washer/dryer! This is a great perk that the owners provide. Tree Frog is clean and the view's outside the windows were beautiful. I loved waking up in the mornings. The view of the bay is best from the corner of the deck. We loved the lush trees and vegetation that we could enjoy from the windows view. We did have so much fun feeding the birds sugar water. They loved our strawberry lemonade mix. We enjoyed grilling out on the grill and the use of a fully equiped kitchen (except for one thing - a Blender!) It would be fun to make fruit smoothies at night. The owners provide beach chairs which were so nice we want to find some like them at home. The shower was roomy and had plenty of water pressure. Note: it is essential that you rent a jeep to drive to Tree Frog. The driveway in is unbelievable! Ruts and dips and bends. It was all part of the fun and adventure for us! The Prop. Mgr. is so nice and helpful and met us the first night to guide us in. She was also quick to respond when the A/C didn't work the 1st night. She fixed it the very next a.m. with a simple repair. We loved hearing the Morovian church bells ring at 9 a.m. Sun. morning. We wish we knew that Vie's Snack Shack was closed all of Aug & Sept. So we couldn't purchase conch fritters (out of season) or Johnny Cakes. Bummer. STill was a nice ride out to the east end of the island with more beautiful views. Groceries are cheaper in Cruz Bay, but little grocery at the bottom of the hill was convinient. Aqua Bistro was fabulous food. We loved our stay and we would love to come back.

Honeymoon paradise!!

My husband and I enjoyed our honeymoon at Tree Frog so much! Coming home after a day of shopping and dining at Cruz bay, snorkeling, hiking, exploring the Sugar plantation ruins, sailing on Kekoa and drinking away the afternoon at Soggy's. The owners are SO welcoming and their rep on the island will bend over backwards to help you out. Even when you call them in the middle of the night because you're not smart enough to know how to lock the door *there were limes in da coconuts involved*. HA! I would highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

My wife and I were impressed not only by the view and beautifully decorated home, but also by the helpful owner and on site manager. They let us know just what to expect, were in touch immediately, and answered all our questions. The property is a gem. Perched high on the side of a hill, it provides breathtaking views over to Tortola, BVI. Every detail that you would expect in a first class cottage has been addressed. You definitely need a four wheel drive Jeep or SUV, but once you have done the trip up the hill and to the cottage one time, it is routine, and well worth the drive. This part of St. John is the most secluded, but the beaches and scenery are beautiful, and restaurants are varied and good. Enjoy and relax at this special place!

Loved Tree Frog!!!!

My husband and I just got back from our birthday trip to St. John and I couldn't wait to put on a review of Tree Frog Cottage!!! This was our first time renting a property like this and we were very nervous about it. Mark was very patient and accommodating and provided endless info. to ease our nerves. And once we drove up to the villa we knew instantly that we were in heaven, it was better than the pictures!!! Practically zero neighbors with a true jungle feel! A luxurious tree house is what it felt like, right up our alley! Tree Frog was extremely clean is equipped with everything you could possibly imagine needing and more. It has the perfect holiday feel to it with breezes coming through every window. Great views off the decks! I can't say enough good things about the place! The drive in is a bit bumpy but nothing worrysome at all. If you want a place a little off the beaten path with peace and quiet then this is your place. We were so happy we didn't stay in hopping Cruz Bay, Coral Bay is so laid back and quiet. Coffee each morning looking over Coral Bay was just wonderful. We really appreciated the beach chairs and the back pack! Favorite snorkeling sites were Salt Pond and Waterlemon, nicest beach was Trunk and favorite restaraunts were Lime Inn and Rhumb Lines. Doneky Diner has awesome pizza and breakfasts! If you like to eat at home, we recommend to shop at Starfish Market before you go over to Coral Bay... we had a few interesting issues with Lilies Market. I could go on forever but I'll end with a "rent this place, you won't be sorry!". Thanks for the great stay Mark and Holly!!!

A Wonderful private oasis from it all

I had the most wonderful time at the Tree Frog Cottage. The property was clean and tastefully decorated inside, as well as outside. The cottage had everything there was to make one's stay comfortable. The location of the property was amazing. The view of Coral Bay was spectacular from the upstairs' deck of the livingroom. The photos of the property were very accurate. The property manager Dorie and, the property landscaper, Matt was very courteous and helpful with all my questions and concerns. My daily activites were checking out a new beach each day. I was not disappointed at all. I have been telling everyone of my great vacation and bragging about Tree Frog Cottage.

Tree Frog cottage is an absolute gem. Mark and Holly have thought of EVERYTHING when it comes to their home in St. John. From the tree frog street signs to the adorable tree frog keychain, to the customized tree frog notepads. This was the first time that I booked through VRBO and Mark was so pleasant to work with. He made communication very easy and accessible. Upon rental confirmation, Mark provided a detailed introduction letter to Tree Frog and thorough directions, as well as access to their island manager, Dorie, who was also very delightful. Mark left Tree Frog the day that we arrived and cut a cluster of bananas from their banana tree for us to enjoy. It was small gestures like so that made us feel welcomed. He also called a few times during our stay to ensure we had everything we needed and provided great island recommendations. I found Tree Frog to be equipped with everything you want/need; great beach equipment, ample towels, access to the washer/dryer and a dishwasher. Beside the larger TV in the living room, there is also a small flat screen TV in the bedroom. What I enjoyed most about the cottage is the space; it’s beautiful and it’s a great place to come home to and relax.As the cottage is fairly new, it can be tricky finding reviews; hope you find this bit of information helpful. Other island recommendations: Skinny Legs, Uncle Joe’s BBQ, Driftaway Spa and Wet Woody’s boat. Mark and Holly, thanks again for the wonderful accommodation and for the thoughtful hand carved tree frog keepsake.
