You will love this newly renovated villa. Beautiful hardwood with rugs, 2 full baths with new tile and new carpet in the master suite. Other amenities include a fireplace, a wrap-around deck which is great for dining under the beautiful South Carolina stars.
One of the most beautiful beaches on the island is only a short 3 minute walk away where you will find your beach locker with chairs waiting for you. A lovely sofa in the master suite is also a great place for an afternoon read. Beachwalk is the closest property to the beach in Shipyard Plantation.
Free tennis is available to you at the Van der Meer Tennis Center located directly across the street from the villa or if you prefer golf that is just down the street. The Crown Plaza Hotel is also across the street and is a nice place for an outdoor breakfast or lunch on their patio. Wonderful bike paths are great for a relaxing ride at any time.

Gorgeous condo! We loved the proximity to the beach. The deck was perfect for catching rays in the afternoon, reading, listening to the birds and watching the tiny green and gray lizards. There are plenty of bike/walking paths, nearby. We'll be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Thanks, we had a wonderful stay in your unit. Played tennis across the street, walked to the beach only 5 minutes away, rode bikes on the fabulous bike paths....everything was clean and in great working order. Very relaxing and quiet in the off season, we loved it!Recommended for: Pet owners.

Just returned from HH after spending a lovely week (7/31-8/7) at Beach Walk in this 1 BR condo. I’m going to list out my pros and cons, however the week was just fantastic. HH restaurants, golfing, beaches and other attractions were just great. Cons: I have to say my biggest con for this condo was the proximity to the beach. As you can see, it is advertised “only a short 3 minute walk away”. Imagine my surprise to discover that the beach is at least a 15-minute walk. It takes more than 3 minutes to walk down the stairs, across the parking lot then get on the path that takes you to the beach. What I did get was a “complimentary” golf cart ride (9 – 5) to and from the beach the first day. The ride to and from is what should be advertised, not the 3 minute walk to the beach! The next con would have to be the condition of the outside of the condo. We arrived at night and were looking around to try and find the unit. We found it but, and I know this may sound trivial, but the house numbers on this unit are basically broke in half. You only get one chance to make a first impression and unfortunately seeing those broken numbers was mine, bad. The deck itself was OK. It needs some repair but since I love to sit outside the fair condition of the deck is worth mentioning. The outside shower and foot shower is in dis-repair. The first day I went to shower off my feet, the top half of the pipe, which was held together with tape, came flying down and almost swiped a gash in me! Finally the master bath shower was very slow. Water did not drain very well, the inside shower curtain should be cleaned or replaced because there’s mold on that from the standing water. Pros: The biggest pro for this condo is the beautiful kitchen. It has modern appliances which all worked perfectly. Also the supplies were really quite nice as well. The plates and stuff were nice, lots of tableware. The Beach Walk complex was very nice. A bit on the rustic/natural side, which lends to the atmosphere of the place. The neighbors were quite; I think there was a little party somewhere one night but nothing outrageous. The dining room also a winner. Nice big table, furniture in good shape. Living room had a great flat screen mounted above the fireplace, liked that a lot. Maser bedroom bed was awesome, very comfortable King Size bed. All in all the inside of the unit was a pleasure, the air and the ceiling fans all worked very well keeping the place comfortable.Owner response: We appreciate our guest taking time to provide this feedback. We consistently receive rave reviews and comments in the guest book in our villa and have many guests who return year after year. However, we need and want to hear when issues need to be addressed. The shower has been repaired, the shower curtain has been corrected by housekeeping, and a brand new deck is planned to be installed in 2011. In addition, the entire Beachwalk complex in being painted and new unit numbers will be installed at this time.
