Calm, cozy and charming flat on the top of Montmartre at Avenue Junot.A safe area, don't worry comming home late at night or beeing only girls. You are right next to great food shops down Rue Lepic, the Sacre Coeur church from where you have a view all over Paris, Place du Tertre where you find all the painters, Moulin Rouge, the wine yards. The old wind mill is just two minutes away, round the corner on rue Lepic. Artists, actors and comedians are living on this avenue. This is also the avenue where Edit Piaff lived a period of her life.
The Metro station "Lamarc-Caulaincourt" is only few minutes walk away, and it will take you less than 15 minutes to get to champ elysé ,Place de la concorde,Opera or l'arche de la triomphe.

Cosy, romantic, calm and a comfortable bed, are the words that our guests repeat to us when they leave.
When you arrive at 12 avenue Junot you enter an art deco building from 1930.
We are sure you will find the apartment both calm and serene which must be just what you need after a hectic day exploring Paris. A French painter used to live in this apartment for many years and we have kept his easel and some of his works as decoration.

The flat has been completely renovated and decorated with a combination of old and new.Simplicity and clarity with coulors are the themes we have used to decorate the apartment. Sunlight streams into the apartment from different directions, giving it the advantage of being bright and inviting.

In the living room, there is a comfortable chesterfield sofa as well as a sofa that can convert to a bed to sleep and additional two people. The double sized living room has a dining area with a table that can comfortably accommodate up to six adults. The bedroom is large and airy,by Parisian standards, and has a king size bed with percale linen. The kitchen provides everything required for a gourmet cook. The modern bathroom and the shower have old, Italian cream coloured marble tiles and a marble sink.

The court yard has a tabel and chairs if you would like to sit outside.
The apartment is right next to a nice park/playground,where you can play "petanque" or just relax on a bench watching the Parisians or read a book in the shadows from the trees.

We can supply childrens highchair, bed and bath tub on request.

Avenue Junot - the perfect apartment

Guest: Calesa (Bath, UK)
Date of Stay: 11/28/09 Review Submitted: 12/08/09

The property at Avenue Junot is lovely, beautifully decorated and a lot of thought has been involved in making it a very special place to stay. We absolutely loved it! It is perfectly clean, spotless, and very very well kept, the light coming in through the large windows is beautiful. It is on the ground floor with windows to a inner court, so a very quiet location, although you are in the midst of a very busy area. It is a perfect location, fantastic place to come back at the end of a day exploring Paris. The final touch is the most lovely host, Marianne, who is extremely helpful and kind and makes you feel like you are coming to visit a friend! I will recommend this property to my friends or to anybody planning to spend time in Paris. The best boulangerie on Rue des Abesses is just round the corner (you will recognize it because of the large queue outside), and many good restaurants on Rue Lepic.

Seriously, You Won't Find a Nicer Apartment

Guest: Peter__ (Australia)
Date of Stay: 12/31/11 Review Submitted: 02/10/12

Well, maybe if you look, and look, and look, and look, maybe, just maybe there's a nicer apartment out there. But I doubt it. Do yourself a favour and stop wasting time and just book Marianne's. You will be completely satisfied. The location is great. I was originally looking for something a little closer in, but it was a complete non-issue: a) you're all of ten minutes (tops) from say, Opera by Metro or bus. Big deal. b) the local area is lovely and great to wander around. You can stroll to Sacré Coeur and Place du Tertre and all the touristy bits (you're a tourist - get over it), or head down to Rue Caulaincourt, a pleasant but somewhat more work-a-day area. The apartment itself is a delight. It was quite big enough for a family of four (children 13 and 10). It was comprehensively equipped, stylishly decorated and furnished, and very well maintained. We were there over New Years, and the it was more than adequately heated. It is on a courtyard, not on the street, so is very quiet. Marianne took great pains to meet us, get us settled in and orient us. My single grumble is that I found the mattress on the bed a little hard. Now I’m back home and I have post holiday blues and am terribly homesick for the flat on Avenue Junot.

Clean, Safe, Cozy, and Beautiful

Guest: Megan K.
Date of Stay: 01/14/12 Review Submitted: 02/02/12

I stayed in this beautiful Montmartre apartment with a friend for eight nights in January, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to expensive, noisy Parisian hotels. The apartment was very clean and fully equipped with everything I needed (except for a hairdryer, which I could not locate). I enjoyed having the option of sleeping in and preparing a leisurely brunch for myself. There were several convenient bakeries, a nearby wine shop with a great selection, and a few smaller groceries which supplied anything I needed during the week. The furnishing was lovely, and I was kept warm and cozy, even during the winter. The wireless internet worked flawlessly the entire trip as well, which was an important feature for me as a writer who telecommutes. The only details that I would have appreciated some advance knowledge about were the following: (1) I didn't have the opportunity to meet Marianne, and this was disappointing after reading so many kind words about her and always receiving prompt replies to my emails. Instead, I was met at the apartment by Martine (who cleans the apartment) and, due to some communication glitches, she had to rush through the check in, which left me a little frazzled; and (2) the bed's mattress was a bit firmer than I prefer, which took a few restless nights to get used to. Even with these details, I would readily return to 12 Avenue Junot. It made the perfect home base for my week in Paris and provided a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience.

A wonderful piece of Paris!

Guest: Christian (Sydney, Australia)
Date of Stay: 06/28/11 Review Submitted: 08/14/11

After a 30 hour door to door trip from Sydney it was wonderful to arrive at such a fantastic apartment! We were "at home" from the moment we arrived - this apartment has everything you need for a family of four - and we slipped into the Montmartre way of life very quickly. Ideally located to the sights of Montmartre and the Metro we spent 5 days exploring all Paris has to offer and then recharging our batteries each night in "our" little piece of Paris. This apartment is better than the photos, it has all of the character, books, maps, kitchen & bathroom supplies that you need to make your holiday both interesting & comfortable. I'm not sure when we will be lucky enough to be back in Paris but we will definitely return to Avenue Junot when we are.

Montmartre Gem

Guest: lindy w. (Victoria, BC, Canada)
Date of Stay: 06/12/11 Review Submitted: 07/25/11

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment. The location is in a quiet neighbourhood of Montmartre, close to both buses and the metro. This spotless ground floor apt, located at the back of the building, is beautifully decorated with a simple but spacious layout. Kitchen facilities are superb. Plenty of pots and pans, cutlery, utensils (including some excellent knives) and dishes! A combo oven/microwave in addition to the stovetop, work perfectly - very conducive to shopping the markets and having a wonderful dinner at home. The large bedroom has a very comfortable king bed with nice linens and plenty of storage. The Italian tiled bathroom has a great shower with lots of hot water and thick towels. Equally important - the boulangeries, patisseries, cafes & grocery stores are mere steps away. Lots of very good restaurants keeps one in the "hood". A furnished courtyard is perfect for a morning cafe or dinner al fresco. Marianne is an absolutely delightful & charming host and very easy to deal with. On arrival, Marianne makes a point of explaining the workings of the apt and providing info on the surrounding area. Overall this apt was a perfect place to stay in Paris, very comfortable, inviting and definitely worth return visits - a gem! It is obvious that Marianne has made every effort make sure her guests will be happy with their choice. We would recomment this apartment without hesitation.

Perfection in Paris

Guest: Wine & food lovers (Ireland)
Date of Stay: 04/02/11 Review Submitted: 04/12/11

We have just returned from a week spent in this flawless apartment. Every possible requirement had been thoughtfully anticipated in this cool beautifully decorated and well equipped apartment. The apartment is situated minutes away from the metro which will take take you into central Paris and is only seconds from the shops and restaurants of Montmartre with it's village feel. The whole experience was a total pleasure from the initial booking to the time we left, and having to leave was the only problem, everything else was perfect!
