This home meet and exceeded my expectations in every way. I just wanted to thank the owners for making my vacation so amazing.This place was beautiful. The house was immaculate, everything was spotless. It has beautiful hardwood floors throughout the house. The canal in the back was so peaceful, I sat out there all day every day. The location is great. I would walk my dog every day up and down the streets in the neighborhood, Everyone was so friendly . I got to meet wonderful people and hated to leave them. The location is close to everything; shopping, restaurants,churches, malls, only a few minuets drive and I was there. If anthing broke the owners were there the nest day to fix it if not the day I called. The immaculate home is everything it is advertised to be. It has everthing you would want or need in a vacation home.Kevin and Mark were so wonderful they made my stay so much fun. What a great job you guys do managing your properties. I will surely be back.

We arrived and Mark met us at the house showed us around the property and then we never saw him until the morning that we were leaving. This place is in excellent condition it is really clean and looks great everything is remodeled and there is no hidden problems. We stayed at the house with kids and it was safe the neighborhood is quiet. The canal in the back was our favorite place to just kick back and have a BBQ. I would highly recommend this place if you are coming from far away and your just not sure this place is great and you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I have rented this property for the last two years and have enjoyed it very much. If you are looking for a home away from home, this is the place -- from fluffy towels to wine glasses for every occasion. The interior of the house is exactly as it is pictured. As the house sits on one of the canals, our favorite spot is the back yard where, in the morning, we can enjoy coffee and reading the paper, and in the evening, we can watch the moonlight glistening over the water and enjoy total serenity. The location is great -- minutes away from Lauderdale By the Sea, shopping, and restaurants. And just as important, is that the owners are very responsive to anything that needs attention and go out of their way to make us feel welcome. It is without a doubt that you will find your stay at Milo's Retreat a wonderful experience.

The start was already perfect: Mark and Kevin were very easy going and fully reliable when we talked to them from abroad, re booking, rent etc. When we arrived late in the evening, the lights were on - the house was ready to move in. And what a place: Beautiful details, stylish, everything well maintained and diligently decorated. We enjoyed the large TV screen to watch the soccer world championship final. The kitchen is well equipped with a food centre and little extra details were very helpful - salt, sugar, coffee, garbage bags there to being used. The view on the canal is gorgeous and sitting on the lanai every morning for breakfast is just wonderful. In a nutshell: a perfect spot for us - family with two teenagers. Fishing off the garden in the canal; canoeing across canals and rivers nearby; the beach only five minutes away by car - having no pool was not an issue at all. Grocery stores (Whole Food Market, Publix) just around the corner. After 1 week we were settled in but had to leave already - we wish we could have stayed longer and hope to be back next summer.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with teenagers.

What a wonderful place to reconnect as a family. It was beyond our expectations, the weather was gorgeous. Every morning drinking coffee on the patio while the kids fished and evenings drinking wine and selaking - wonderful. The kitchen is fully equipped for everything and anything we wanted to prepare. Thank you for a wonderful experiance. We will do this again and recommend it to friends.

My husband and I stayed at this home the last week of January 2010 and had a fantastic experience. The home is exactly as pictured in the website photos and was immaculate and extremely well-equipped. From wine glasses to martini shaker to pizza cutter, this home has everything you could need during a visit. Everything is good quality: thick, fluffy towels, new appliances, comfortable queen beds. We particularly enjoyed the gas grill and eating dinner outside each evening on the patio dining set. The home is in a quiet residential area, but just minutes away from grocery stores, shopping, etc. It's about 10 - 15 minutes north of downtown Fort Lauderdale and close to the coastal highway for drives north or south. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, I think the home is perfect for families or for two couples. Finally, we enjoyed meeting the owner, Kevin, who met us at the home and briefed us on everything we needed to know. He clearly takes pride in this property and seemed genuinely committed to making sure we had a comfortable stay. Payment was hassle free and Kevin met us again at check-out to return our security deposit, as promised. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation recommending this property.
