  Some friends and I rented Cary and Stacy's cabin for a weekend getaway, and we couldn't have asked for a better time. It has a great layout and was a great size--actually more than we needed for 9 people! It had all the amenities we needed, with the exception of extra toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags... but that was an easy run to the small supermarket in Garrison. Everything else was provided, including great quality towels, nice dishes, ample fridge and freezer space for food for the weekend, everything! We ventured out to Kathio State Park (about 20 minutes away) and climbed the 100-foot observation tower. It was gorgeous looking out over the fall leaves and Mille Lacs. We are considering making this an annual trip and highly suggest other people check out their great cabin.

  This is my 2nd time at your beautiful cabin! And as before, it was a great stay. We had a great time making great food, talking, playing video games, and having a dance party in your living room! We all felt like teenagers again. Thank you so much, and yes we are looking at staying again in July!! :)

  My husband and I stayed here with our 20 month old son along with my parents and sister. There was more than enough room for us. The master bedroom on the main floor worked great for us with the crib. There was also a bed up in the loft with a toddler bed. All the rooms had very spacious closets and dressers. The kitchen had plenty of cooking items. It was great to have the washer/dryer and dishwasher. The hot tub was very warm and well kept. We were surprised to find the house had lots of kids toys!! We had packed quite a few toys but wouldn't have needed to pack any! We used the ice shack quite a bit. 3 of us fished and the shack was plenty big with 6 holes. More maintenance would have made the ice shack a little more inviting. We struggled with the heater quite a bit and the bunks would need clean bedding if someone was planning on using them. But these were minor for us since we had brought another heater and didn't plan on sleeping on the ice. As a previous poster said it would be worth moving the shack for a better spot. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and thought the house was very clean and spacious.

  This was our second time staying at the House of Dreams. It is clean, comfortable, and everything you would want in a vacation rental. The owners are easy to work with and will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. We already booked our 3rd stay there!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

• Great time on Mille Lacs

  Thank you Stacy and Cary for sharing your house. We had a group of 8 guys come up to ice fish lake Mille Lacs. The location of your house is perfect to access lake Mille Lacs and some of the great structure on the north side of the lake. The size of the house was perfect for our group and the amenities were great for playing cards or just relaxing after a long day on the ice. The fish house was adequate for our needs but plan on paying Myr Mar resort move it to better structure if you want to use it overnight. Overall this place was excellent. Very well maintained and clean. We will definitely be back.

  We had a great time getting away after the holidays. The sunrises were beautiful. The house was just as it was described. Plenty of space for 11 of us to move around. We enjoyed the games and hot tub as well.

  Stacy, We had a wonderful time at your cabin. The week consisted of Christmas gift opening(thanks for the Christmas decorations,not expected but enjoyed a lot) also, cross country skiing, snowshoeing(Cathio state park),some ice fishing, thrifting, casino run,eating in eating out, game playing(awesome) hot tubing(awesome), new years eveing, and resting. All twelve of us had a above FINE time! Thank you for bring so friendly( I could hear it in your voice), acomodating, and wonderful to visit/work with. We don't do this vacationing very often , so thank you it was an awesome time at your house of dreams. We definitely will remember you for the future. Happy New Year to you and yours. May 2013 be filled with many BLESSINGS! From all of us in Albany/Avon/Mpls

  We absolutly enjoyed our stay at your House of Dreams! There was more than enough room for our extended family of seven. Our three year old grandson enjoyed the toys and game room - he had a blast. We loved that we all had our own bedrooms and plenty of room to hang out together or to get away and have some quiet time. We would definitely recommend your home to our friends.

  Pictures do not do this home justice. It is much more spacious that I imagined it would be. We had 11 people head up for golf weekend. The hot tub was wonderful, the kitchen gorgeous, and the yard amazing. Plush green grass in the front allowed for plenty of yard games as we looked out at the lake. Great weekend vaca, great house. The owners were also great to work with. Would go back and recommend to anyone.
