This was the greatest New Year's celebration/vacation we could have asked for! Our group was all from Florida, so quite an adventure for us. The setting was beautiful, the cabin a dream, and the hot tub was amazing. Thank you so much for a get away we will never forget. We already want to come back!

Beautiful cabin and nice location with great views. Very clean. However the hot tub did not get hot...which was very disappointing as this was a big reason we picked this cabin. Also, the road to the cabin was very ice-y and we could not get up it. Needed to be sanded. We had to park at bottom of hill and haul all our stuff up! Kitchen was well-stocked, beds were comfortable.

Owner response:We are so glad you thought the cabin was beautiful, enjoyed the location and views, and how clean everything was. We are sorry the hot tub disappointed you. The tub is checked before each guest arrives and was functioning properly. It was also checked when you left and no problems were found. There is an instruction book in the home for guests use, and I am available 24/7for questions. Had I known of an ongoing problem I would have certainly addressed it. As with most hot tubs if random button pushing, in the right sequence happens, the tub can be put into vacation mode, and I am wondering if that could be what happened. The instruction book, or a phone call could have possibly been an easy fix, if in vacation "cool down" mode. We recommend a 4WD vehicle to all of our guests, not just for access to the home, but for winter time in Colorado. I think you would have had a different experience with a 4WD. The road you had trouble with was a city street. Our private road and drive is maintained by us and was in good condition. Our guests just across the road from where you were staying did not experience any problems at all. We value our guests, and are so proud of our home. It saddens me greatly to get this review based on user error with the hot tub, and condition of the city's streets which we have no control over. Our goal continues to be a wonderful "home away from home" for you, your family, and friends. Linda

This was perfect for two couples. The cabin was so well stocked and exceeded our expectations. Owners made it very easy to rent and check in. Would definitely come back again. Nepal's Cafe is fantastic especially the lunch buffet if you want to try Nepalese food! Rock Inn for happy hour and Sweet Bascilico for Italian! RMNP hiking everyday and then hot tub every evening!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Pine Cone Cabin. The layout was perfect for 2 families. Your house is well stocked and comfortable. We took advantage of all the decks, grill, and the hot tub daily. The kids enjoyed seeing the birds, deer, and chipmunks. Enjoyed the peace and quiet, proximity to town, and RMNP. Thanks much!

The reservation process was well organized. The owners were easy to contact and ready to answer questions. The cabin was conveniently located and easily accommodated three adults and two children, everyone having their own place to sleep. The cabin was clean and cozy. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. The whirlpool was clean and private. Wireless internet connection was helpful. The view was very nice with a mountain sunset. The area around the cabin was safe for children to explore. We saw deer, chipmunks and bunnies. We visited the YMCA camp, the tram, Estes Lake and different places in Rocky Mountain National Park. This is the place we would like to visit again.

Pine Cone Cabin was wonderful.....beautifully appointed in the perfect setting just outside Rocky Mountain National Park. Very clean, the "Cabin" was more like a home - spectacular view from every window and there are many windows ! The cabin is only a short walk into town and a short drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. I highly recommend this property and hope to retrun myself one day soon!

The title says it all. Everything you need and more for a very relaxing and comfortable trip. Our family of 7 enjoyed the two floors. Everyone seemed to be able to find a space of their own without being on top of one another. Fantastic views, beautiful interior, well kept, and anything you may need is provided right in the home. The wildlife were within view and the amenities close by. We will definitely be returning to this secluded home for future vacations. THANK YOU for sharing your home with us!

The description of the cabin on this website matches what you will see when you walk in the door at Pine Cone Cabin. Here are some notes: Decks - are all wonderful. Great views, an awning to help block out the sun, a hammock, a grill, lots of outdoor seating and an awesome hot tub. If you like relaxing outdoors, this place is for you. Kitchen - seats 4 at the table. Lots of spices, dishes, silverware and extras are available in the kictchen. The frdige, microwave and oven all worked great and were all very clean. Living Room - Comfortably seats 5, with room for another chair or two from the kitchen. Huge TV in this room, along with big windows and a sliding glass door to one of the decks. The living room is open and airy. A celing fan is available to use in this room. Main floor bedroom - Comfortably sleeps two in a queen bed. Another TV is in this room. Lots of dresser drawers available for clothing. This bedroom has its own private bathroom, which was stocked with towels. Bathroom was well lit and very clean. On the lower level of the property is another family room with another large TV. There is comfortable seating for another 6 people down here. There are two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and a private bathroom. The second bedroom contains the washer/dryer and a twin bed. My relatives stayed in these bedrooms and they felt the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very clean. There was a wifi connection throughout the entire house, and we were always able to use our computer when needed. There is a short 3 - 5 minute drive to downtown from the cabin, depending on where you go. The walk to town is simple. If you plan to walk back to the cabin, there is quite a hill to go up to get back to the cabin.. The only drawback we had during our week long stay here was the parking. If your party only has 1 or 2 cars, you will be fine, once you get some practice in. If you have guests at the cabin like we did, the parking gets dicey if you start having 3 cars or more. Bob and Linda take care of their guests and we felt like we could call them if anything was needed. We didn't need to call them once, so they took good care of us. It was easy for us to see why this property has such good reviews.
Owner response:We are happy you found Pine Cone Cabin to be as listed, and enjoyed the location and amenities. We do have parking available for 3 cars without having to move any of them. 2 on the south side of the storage building and 1 on the north side. Also,150' driveway to the home offers plenty of additional parking. We have 2 queen bedrooms, and 1 full, but no twins, unless you special request that we bring in a twin roll-away. The futon is also a full size inner-spring mattress and have been told it is very comfy. We look forward to you being one of our returning guests, who love the home, and are now making it an annual family tradition!

My, 5 sisters and I spent a week at this home and just fell in love with all the special touches and warmth of this house. The location to town and all Estes Park has to offer was perfect by car or just a 5 minute walk to downtown. We saw a bear, deer and chipmunks while relaxing on one of the 3 patios. We wouldn't dream of any other home on our next visit to the area.

My husband and I stayed in this house with two other couples in late June and had a wonderful time. The house has everything you could possibly need, and the location is fantastic. It feels somewhat secluded, but it is just a short walk down the hill to get to the Riverwalk and the town. The hot tub was an added plus after days of hiking. The fact that this house has two finished levels is great because you can stay with friends or family but not feel like you are on top of each other. We would definitely recommend this place to others!

I have mixed feelings writing a review for this property and the amicable owners. On one hand, I don't want to give it too glowing a recommendation because then more people will want to stay there and I won't get the future dates I want. But on the other hand, I must be honest. The cabin was as much or more than what was described. The secluded location was ideal for us and it was still close to town and other activities. The cabin and property were very clean and well maintained and every amenity that was needed was provided. The decks were spacious and comfortable and we spent much of our time enjoying the mountains and trees. And we spent many hours relaxing in the hot tub. While the decor was not unique, it provided us with an entertaining goal of finding every bear, paw print or picture of a bear inside and outside the property. For future travelers, we found 92. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who both wants to get away from it all or to partake in the myriad of activities that are available close by. It was so good that we plan to return this fall with two other couples. We enjoyed it that much.

Pinecone Cabin is super close to town and yet you feel like you've arrived at your mountain getaway hours away from anything. Plus, it's just minutes away from Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park! This place is great for two couples or a family. There is nothing lacking in this house. It has all the extras and more to get away and relax. We were there during Christmas and the house was decorated so it was nice since we were far from home. The deck has an awesome hot tub. Be sure to take a dip even when it is 9 degrees outside. It snowed on Christmas day while we were in the hot tub. The seperate living areas upstairs and down made the house seem so much bigger. The kids took over the downstairs while we enjoyed the upstairs. Thanks to Linda who was great to talk with and handled all the details. You made our trip so easy.

I have stayed at Pine Cone Cabin numerous times and in all 4 seasons. In the summer, spring and fall there are endless amounts of activities. Hiking, horse back riding, go karts, site seeing and many more. In the winter you can ski (Eldora is only 50 minutes away) or go snow shoeing in the National Park, and can find many other activities to do as well. The location of this home allows for so much to do and easy access to any place you can think of. All of my stays here have been fantastic and the house is always completely clean and the owners are super nice and willing to help out with any needs you may have. Simply a great, cozy, wonderful place to stay!

P.S. We loaded our truck and were ready to leave. We were having a cup on coffee ont he deck when we heard a THUD. Looked over and a brown bear was on the tailgate helping himself to what was in the truck. Steve ran out the door and the bear had our picnic basket in his mouth going up the driveway! We yelled-he ran off. What a send off! My heart is still pumping. GREAT MORNING! And stories to tell!

Our family of 5+ adults spent a long weekend at the Pine Cone Cabin. (Actually our daughter was pregnant with twins) There was plenty of room for all and it was very comfortable. Being outside was a priority and there were plenty of places for everyone; both decks were cozy and the patio was big enough for a couple more visitors. We didn't use any TV's but there were plenty. The kitchen was nice for breakfast and packing lunches. We grilled on the deck which was great. There was plenty of parking and we were close to lots of places. The owners stopped by a couple times, but that was more than we needed as everything worked fine. There were plenty of restaurants, but we only ate out once; we enjoyed hanging around the cabin after a long day hiking and sight seeing. Thanks for wonderful accommodations.

My family and I have been staying at this property at least once a year for the last 4 years. You are very close to Estes Park activities. . .yet you feel secluded in a private home in the mountainside. The home has everything you would need. There is tons of room! Very nice decor, clean, and many amenties. We enjoy grilling on the deck after a day of skiing at Eldora, shopping locally in town, or horseback riding, and then relaxing in the hot tub at sunset. You won't find anything better in the area!
