Why the Owner Chose Alpine Meadows

This home was built by Bob's parents in 1969. The house is a comfortable vacation rental on a spectacular site, especially for the mountain views and the waterfall behind the house on Bear Creek.

The Unique Benefits at this House

The great attractions: In the winter, wonderful skiing, just five minutes away. In the summer, hiking, swimming, sun-bathing, rafting, biking in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains.

Owner's Map of Alpine Meadows

The Ziegler-Brown family lives in Cupertino. Bob and Jennifer work in the medical industry during the day and indulge personal passions for music, poetry, gardening, cooking, sports, hiking, child-rearing etc., the rest of the time. Our high-school daughter, Stella, is a remarkable artist, thespian, and scientist, not necessarily in that order. Son Jackson is in middle school and loves sports, video games, and a good book.

Wonderful Winter WonderLand Stay

Guest: Barbara (Sonoma, California, USA)
Date of Stay: 02/05/99 Review Submitted: 11/30/10

I was ambiguious about going to the snow for a Winter Holiday / All I could think of was being cold and wet and trapped with 5 young boys indoors in a snow storm with no escape. This wonderful home made all these fantasies disapear.. We arrived late and the care givers had cleared all the snow off our parking spaces and walk way to the Front Door. We opened to door to a warm, toasty and large vacation home..... All the boys ended up claiming the doorstairs bunk area as their territory giving us four adults plenty of breathing space for the much needed quiet times between supervising the boys on the slopes. The kitchen and dining space suited us perfectly and we made many tasty meals with fully equipped chief's delite set of pots, pans, dishes etc.. There was plenty of room for all to use the baths without waiting in line and the views left us in awe of the wintertime splendor. I am looking forward to a spring/summer visit and now know that wintertime is full of wonderment in this Alpine Meadows Home.

Owner response:It's nice to hear from Barbara almost 12 years later and that she has such nice memories from her visit.

Cabin with a wonderful mountain view

Guest: Nina N (Milpitas, CA)
Date of Stay: 05/21/10 Review Submitted: 05/24/10

Our weekend in the cabin was great! The view of the mountain and nature from the tall glass windows was terrific. Who would have thought it still snows in May but we enjoyed sledding down the Alpine Meadows while no one else was around. The cabin has all the amenities to help make our time there enjoyable. Bob is really prompt in communication and gave us detailed information and directions to the cabin. We would definitely recommend this cabin to our friends and families.
