Our house is named "Next to C" because we consider it to be "ecstasy" on the beach! All five bedrooms face the ocean, so everyone can be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves.
Making the most of the breathtaking view, the primary living area is on the top floor along with the kitchen and master bedroom with king size bed and private bath. There are two other masters on the floor below with queen size beds and their own private baths. Both bedrooms have doors that open on to the covered deck with rockers and a swing.
The other two bedrooms share a bath and one has twin beds and the other a bunk bed. There is a room below with a futon and sofa and a TV/DVD player - usually where the kids or teenagers like to hang out.
The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare full meals and the dinning room table pulls out to accommodate 10.
There are four TV's in the house with VCR's or DVD players and the house is also equipped with wireless high speed internet.
The decks are ready for relaxing with swing, rockers, lounge chairs and bar height table and chairs for outdoor dining.
You probably won't want to leave, but if you do decide to go out there are quite a few good restaurants to choose from and a variety of shopping opportunities from unique boutiques, art and antiques to surfer shops.
There's also a lot of interesting history on Topsail (pronounced "Topsul") including Blackbeard and his pirates and the missile towers used to test the US torpeos back in the 40's. Topsail is also well known for it's turtle rescue program and turtle hospital.
Topsail Island is a relaxing and wonderful place to get away.
