Why stay in a standard lonely-old crowded hotel in Oak Brook or downtown Chicago? Stay in this charming home in Riverside. The Metra in downtown Riverside will take you straight in to downtown Chicago's Union Station in about 15 minutes. Or, drive (without traffic it takes just 20 minutes).
Brookfield Zoo is just a 4 minute drive away, you could even walk to it. There is a beautiful library in Riverside and many nice parks. The town was designed by Olmstead and holds a few Frank Lloyd Wright homes. Go shopping in Hinsdale, LaGrange, or Oak Brook, all just 10-20 minutes away. Visit family in the area for the Holidays.
Maybe you're working in Oak Brook or other surrounding towns and you'd prefer a nice warm home to a lonely old hotel room. We lived for 8 happy years in this charming "classic Chicago bungalow" and had to leave it furnished for a new job on the East Coast. With the terrible housing market, we can't sell it, which means you can rent it and enjoy our home just as we did after a long day at the office or during the holidays.
As the pictures show, there is a master bedroom with a jetted soaking tub en suite; there is also a children's bedroom, complete with custom-made firetruck bed; finally, a guest bedroom decorated "Nantucket style." There is a dining area and family room off of the updated and gorgeous kitchen AND ALSO a finished basement with a gigantic family couch. There is also an office, with a glass door in the basement.
