Our family had a wonderful time. We were a group of 14 ranging from 1 1/2 to 69. The house provided a cozy atmosphere when the rain fell. We cooked all our meals in the house and the large eating area allowed us to visit as we ate. Because of the 4 1/2 baths we never had someone waiting for a shower or hot water. The open area on the second floor was great for our large family but if someone needed quiet time they could retire to the den on the first floor, which became our nursery. The laundry room was an added bonus for the mothers after the children were walking on the beach, or rolling down the dunes. The location couldn't have been better for easy access to the beach. The garage let us empty the cars out of the weather and carry sleeping children directly into the house.

Hi Val- I just want to say 'Thank- you' for letting us rent your beautiful home. We absolutely loved the set-up and the multiple bathrooms, it definitely accomodated our group of 15 perfectly! Also, the private beach was wonderful and we enjoyed many hours playing in the surf, skimboarding, boogie boarding, and surfing! Walking up the sand dune back to the house was also a great way to burn off all those extra calories we consumed while on vacation Also, just wanted to check in with you and make sure that we left the house as we found it. What a great place for a Family Reunion!

In late April, 2011 our family had a family reunion in Waldport. 45 people were in town with families renting various homes. We stayed at this home and it ended up being where everyone gathered for the nightly dinners. The layout is wonderful for large gatherings. The lower level is completely tricked out for fun with the pool table, air hockey, and foos ball table. Add to that a wonderful TV den and the kids had a blast. The furnishings throughout are great. The main level was a great layout. The kitchen had everything you need. The bedrooms were large and well-appointed. Linens and bathrooms clean as a whistle. Walk out the front door and you're steps away from the beach. The owner was extremely easy to work with and was quick to respond to my emails/phone calls. If you're looking for a great vacation spot in Waldport - this is it!

As a vacation rental owner, it was a huge pleasure to stay in this delightful home. There is plenty of space to gather together, and some wonderful little nooks for cozy privacy It is scrupulously clean everywhere. The kitchen is well supplied with everything needed for large meals, and we enjoyed leisurely breakfasts in the kitchen and full meals all together at the dining table. The beach is just steps away, and we had wonderful walks both on the beach and on the roads in the Bayshore community. Every detail has been thought through, from the choice of interior paint colors to the area rug placed for receiving sandy shoes at the door. Val is a conscientious vacation rental owner, and working with her on the arrangements was a breeze. I highly recommend this home!

Val the house was awesome! We had a great time and the boys really enjoyed having the whole downstairs for themselves. One of the dads and I took on the boys in a pool tournament and we won 11 straight games one evening. You should of heard the trash talking form the boys. Good time. Needless to say, I will be setting up future stays at the house with my own family. Very comfortable and roomy. Thanks again for supporting Oregon City Youth Football and the Gridiron Club.

Thank you Val for all your attention to detail and for the swift execution of the refund check. It was our pleasure to be able to enjoy the vaction from your wonderful house. It was the focal point of all of our evening meals. (that reminds me, a knife sharpener would be handy). Each family took turns to prepare a meal for the others. We found soo much to enjoy: the seals on the beach, the Aquarium, hiking, the tide pool at Seal Rock, horseback ridding on the beach(at the Dunnes), the Newport wharf, Sea Lion Cave, glass blowing demos, fires on the beach, lighthouses, kyacking, and golfing. The fog just cut down on the picture taking. Now it's Ashley's(the youngest) turn to plan our next vacation in 2012. Thanks again for the use of the home away from home.

Came for my folks' 50th anniversary. The house was immaculate and the open floor plan upstairs was perfect for a gathering. The kitchen has all the cookware you'd need, the game rooms is amazing and the bedrooms are comfortable. The furnishing are terrific, the house is equipped with wifi and the beach is just over the ridge in the back. We will be back, this is the best vacation rental I've ever stayed in.

Senior Beach Retreat

We had an incredible time and your house was perfect! It was so sweet to have the room we needed for this large group of guys and to be so close to the beach. There were 19 of us for one night and then 17 the second night. We had 15 senior guys who were there the entire time. God opened their hearts to hear and discuss some very critical issues as they get ready to take the next step in their lives. The use of your beach rental made it possible for Pastor Erin, Brian, Doug and myself to spend quality time with these young men. I believe it will make a difference in their future. Again, thank you so much for the use of your home. I trust that we left it as expected for the house keeper to get their work done and the house prepared for the next guest. That was just an ideal home for our whole crew. Very nice, we felt right at home! You guys have created a fabulous, comfortable home and I'm very thankful that you shared it with us. On Saturday night my boyfriend (4 yrs.) asked for every ones attention and asked for my hand in marriage. That was such an amazing feeling being in your lovely home with my whole family there to take part in such an amazing event! Of course after asking for my fathers permission while bbq-n on your deck. Just wanted to share such a treasured moment with you, probably a first in your beach place....So thank you from the bottom of our hearts! P.S. great tile work!

We celebrated my mom’s 65th birthday at your beach house and had a great time. Our only regret was that we didn’t rent it for a longer period of time. The house was large enough for everyone to have their own space. The floor plan worked very well for our family. The kids had a great time playing on the beach and in the game room. With the game room doors shut the adults were able to have quiet conversations upstairs. The house was very clean and well stocked. We have rented several different houses at the coast but yours is definitely our favorite. We would love to stay in your home again.

The house was wonderful. There was plenty of space for our entire group of 16 to gather in the great room. But there were also so many smaller gathering places that we joked we needed a central display to tell what topics were being discussed where. Many meals were prepared in the well equipped kitchen. No needed item was missing. The jetted tub was a nice addition. And our group made good use of all the game tables. I even appreciated the floor plan, having four of the bedrooms on one side of the house and the kitchen and laundry room on the other. It made for a quiet night, and morning when some were up for breakfast before others. The beach access was wonderful, just a few steps over the dune and you were there. It made the house a wonderful jumping off point for many adventures. Finally, the one item that really swayed us before we even saw the house, were the wonderful owners. Val was, by far, the best owner we dealt with during our own search for 'the perfect beach house.' I believe you would be hard put to find a better house.

The house is WONDERFUL - the online photos really don't do it justice. Several members of our family said things like "this house has been just perfect for us." It was the perfect balance of enough space to spread out yet enough room when we all wanted to be together. When we realized just HOW new and beautiful everything was, cooking was a bit nervewracking when you spill that bit of spaghetti sauce on that pristine oven! But that was part of the fun, and we all felt very comfortable and pampered. The beds and linens/towels are so comfortable, and not having to wait for a bathroom with 16 people was a huge treat. I can't really say enough about how thoughtful and complete the whole set up was. We were able to spend a lot of time on the beach with the easy access (and great weather!) as well as walk around the neighborhood. The kitchen is so well equipped we had no trouble putting together all those big meals - and I am sure it is the first house I have ever rented that actually had enough dishes (plates, mugs, etc.) to serve all the guests it holds. The views from all the windows are great, and it was so full of light in the day, and thanks to all your recesssed lighting it has great light at night for dining, and for reading. The game room and downstairs den were a huge hit with the kids of all ages - it got used quite a bit, and the parents appreciated that they were "unplugged" games (vs. video arcade games). We also really enjoyed the selection of board games, and books for kids and grownups. I would also like to say a HUGE thank you for making the checkout procedures very simple, and doable. It makes the stay that much more enjoyable. Again thank you so much for all your help - the 80 year old birthday boy was thrilled with the house and the entire stay. If we ever all want to get together again, we'll absolutely consider your house, if you'll have us. You and your family have done a great job of creating a welcoming, comfortable place to enjoy the beach.

Our family has been to this beach house a couple times. We love it! We have a big family so it is nice to all be able to stay in one place. The ocean access is wonderful. The views are also incredible! You would think having 16 people in one house would be very hectic however because the house is so big it never feels like you have that many people in one place. There is so much to do it is easy to keep everyone entertained. The large jacuzzi tub is amazing! It is like your own little hot tub! I can't wait to be able to stay here again!

All we can say is WOW! Your home is truly amazing and we can't wait to stay again. I can't think of when the last time was that I was so relaxed. The house was extremely clean, cozy, and inviting. We couldn't believe how easy it was to get to the beach. Just over the dune, and you were there. We have stayed in newer homes before, but yours was truly the nicest.
