Very nicely decorated, all amenities included, very clean. The property manager was very responsive. We had a wonderful catered meal from Carltons. I'm sure we will be back next year.

We loved the space for our woman's Scrapbooking group and the Elevator was such a blessing. Having the rec room for the kids was another bonus. But as I said working with these owners was so easy. They had everything you needed at the home and they answered all your questions before arriving. You must pick Crystal Palms for your next beach trip!!! Save me a week .

I can't say enough good things about our entire experience. In summary: Location - This was our first time in the Outer Banks, and I have to say that Emerald Isle is a superb choice. It faces south, so you get sunset and sunrise. It is also a pretty quiet place. I really loved it. It was a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. House - The house is immense. I know it says that there are four bedrooms, but there are actually two more rooms that I guess are technically not bedrooms as they don't have have closets, but had windows and beds. I think this is an important point to note. The house also has a very nice, large pool. When we walked on the beach, we noticed that most houses that we saw on the beach don't have pools. We were there with an infant, so we liked the option of the pool. The house has everything and I mean everything. I've stayed at places that say they have what you need, but yet they provide little more than some silverware, coffee maker and a couple of pots. This house provided appliances like blenders to crockpots to pretty much everything else. We had a private chef come one night to prepare a special dinner, and even he commented on how well stocked the kitchen was. Every room is immaculate, and the owner had thought of everything from books to board games. And the views...words could not do the views justice. I think every night we sat on the third floor deck and looked at all the stars (who knew there were so many??) and listened to the waves of the ocean. I can't wait to go back. Owner - The owner from the get-go was extremely responsive and accommodating. We booked our vacation during the week that Hurricane Irene hit, so I was convinced that we would not be able to actually go, but with good luck and an enormous effort on the part of the owner and the property manager to get the place in shape, we were able to still go down and enjoy ourselves. Before, during and after the storm, the owner was very communicative and hospitable. If the house and location were great, but the owner wasn’t wonderful to work with, I wouldn’t consider returning. Luckily, she is truly a gem. Run, don’t walk toward this gorgeous house!

There's no question Crystal Palms is a great house; beautiful inside and out. You can't ask for anything more from a beach house. But equally impressive ( perhaps more so in this day and age) is how nice it was to deal with the owner when- literally- a challenge loomed on the horizon. Unfortunately, we had to leave our vacation early as Hurricane Irene rolled-in. The owner was very helpful with everything from our safety precautions to our plans for the future. It's rare these days to find someone who is both so pleasant and professional. Not too many people can make dealing with a hurricane relatively pain free! Bottomline, with Crystal Palms, you get both a fabulous home and a super owner experience.

My extended family spent the past week at Crystal Palms - - what a wonderful home!! It was spacious, well equipped, and perfectly positioned on Emerald Isle .We had family there ages 6 - 70 and everyone was happy! We felt so lucky to spend a week here!!

A Delightful Spring Vacation

Our three small families stayed at Crystal Palms the first full week in April this year (our 1st time to the Emerald Isle area). It turned out to be a delightful vacation, in large part because of this wonderful house. It was very large, but still felt very inviting and homey. The house is decorated beautifully, and was extremely clean (a very important issue to us). The beach and views were even better then advertised. Favorite places to visit included the NC Aquarium, party boat fishing on The Stacy IV, touring the Tryon Palace (not too far away), and walking along the beach in front of Crystal Palms. I hope this wonderful house stays just the way it is. Hopefully, someday we will be able to visit again.

Crystal Palms is a beautiful home that is thoughfully planned, maintained and decorated! First, the elevator is a nice treat when you're tired from that long drive! The bedrooms are well designed, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is FULLY stocked and the cabinets are labelled for your convenience....never have to worry about where everything goes! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the separate Ice Maker in the kitchen....great for drinks or coolers! There is a refrig. in kitchen, separate ice maker in kitche and a refrig. in the Rec Room. Rec Room and Media Room are both wonderful for kids and adults alike.....well designed for a group. Pool and hot tub were wonderful. The layout of all the decks is fantastic. Right outside the RecRoom door is a small covered deck that is fully fenced with gates, beside the pool...no worries about your little guys running right out the door into the pool! The pool deck was large with nice lounge chairs, an a full outdoor shower. The walkway to beach ends in a nice large area with bench seats to stow your beach chairs, boogie boards, etc and only had 4 or 5 steps down to the beach. We have stayed in houses with 12 stairs, which is tough for some people. The view is just wonderful from everywhere! Both the Owner and Caretaker are very easy to work with, and very nice and considerate! Our group of vacationers is quite particular about our lodging and Crystal Palms surpassed our expectations! You will not be disappointed with a stay at Crystal Palms!

Crystal Palms exceeded our high expectations. The house is beautifully decorated and very nicely-equipped. The oceanfront setting offers terrific views from all three levels, and quick walk-out access to a pristine, uncrowded beach. Owner and friendly local maintenance man both went to great lengths to make sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable vacation. I would highly recommend this property!

We have stayed at Crystal Palms 2 times and from the moment you walk in the door,the warmth and beauty of the home completely overtakes you. You truly feel like you are given a warm hug when you walk into the house. It has everything you could ever need on vacation along with beautiful decor and perfect amenities. The views of the ocean are so beautiful and you can see the ocean from almost every area in the house. We have stayed at beach houses for the past 20 years and I truly have never been so happy and comfortable as I am at Crystal Palms. From the moment we walked in Crystal Palms we fell in love and the owner has gone to great lengths to guarantee a perfect vacation. She made Crytal Palms a place that makes you feel as if you are family and when you walk in you are HOME.The Island is delightful, the people are so friendly. Emerald Isle is truly a magical place and I find it hard to put into words. We truly feel as if all of our troubles melt away as soon as you cross over the bridge.You then pull up to Crystal Palms and you are greeted with the warm hug and love that the house exudes. You will never find a vacation home as wonderful as Crystal Palms and I hope you all enjoy it as much and my family and I did. We all cried the day we had to leave and I cry every time I see the pictures because of all the magical moments it help to create in our lives.

Our second trip to Crystal Palms was like coming home. The kids went running to "their" rooms, and settled right in and headed straight to the water. The comfortable feeling of home away from home was wonderful. Everything about Crystal Palms is welcoming, elegant, yet so comfortable. We've already set aside two weeks for our trip "home" next year! You won't be disappointed when you decide, as we have, to come home to Crystal Palms!

We just returned from a week on Emerald Isle at Crystal Palms. The perfect family gathering place for rest, relaxation, fun at the beach, and plenty to do if you wish to be busy. Our stay at this beautiful beach home was by far our favorite of all the years we've been traveling to the beach. Crystal Palms is superior and reflects the homeowner's loving care in every detail. The furnishings are beautiful, elegant and yet homey at the same time. You'll want for nothing in this well appointed home. The view is spectacular, the beach pristine, and the island charming. Whether you have a large family as we do with our eight children, take extended family, or plan a reunion with friends, this home will not disappoint. The homeowner is also a delightful person to communicate with! By far, our week at Crystal Palms was the best vacation money we've spent.

The Crystal Palms is absolutely wonderful. My sister and I are a bit picky about where we stay, it has to be better than home, otherwise what is the point. When we walked in we were thrilled! It was immaculate, comfortable and inviting. We are in the process of booking again for the spring and plan to bring our families here for years to come. What a wonderful place to create a family tradition!

I've stayed at Crystal Palms twice, and will do so many more times. It's a perfect place to unwind, relax, and renew. It is so well appointed that it feels like home, without the worry. We didn't want for a thing and this place will be somewhere that me and my loved ones will return for years to come.
