This was our second time on this beautiful property. The only problem we had was having to leave! We have stayed at several properties on the lake. This one, by far, is the nicest. The huge living room and kitchen are perfect for large gatherings. The bottom level is perfect for kids to hang out and watch movies or play games. The theater room is outstanding. Every chair is a leather recliner. Wow! I love the study- the perfect place to read and relax. The porch always had a nice breeze. The laundry room is huge and a perfect place to store groceries, water, snacks, etc. The lay-out of the bedrooms allows for privacy for several families to stay together. You never feel cramped for space. One of the greatest blessings is the owner's generous check-in and check-out times. You don't feel hurried out. I am sure I will be writing a third review in the near future!

My family stayed here for my parents 50th anniversary. The view is beautiful- I could sit on the deck all day. But if you need something to do, there is foosball, ping pong, pool, a media room, games, and hiking. The home is stocked with everything you need (besides food). I would definitely stay here again!

Held a 13-guest family reunion in mid-June 2011. Property was beautiful. Could not think of better place to stay. Proximity to Hancock Park (about 5 minute walk, or 1-minute drive if you carry gear) was excellent. Took ice chest, chairs, and canopy so older adults could sit and watch kids on beach. Boat launch at Lago Vista Marina was a bit inconvenient due to low lake level this summer (approx 648 ft). Closer boat launch was a bit too steep for our vehicle, but this was the case for many areas in Lake Travis this summer. Access card & parking permit were made available to us for Hancock park and Marina. Younger kids could play in sandy beach area in Hancock park. Also had fun at Point Venture beach, just 5-minute boat ride east. Kitchen and dining area were huge and well-appointed. BBQ pit was very convenient. Had lots of indoor fun with board games, pool table, ping pong table, Foosball, and watching deer in backyard. Family member who slept in downstairs bedroom said mattress was a bit soft for his taste, but everyone else slept extremely well. Owner was accessible by phone during our stay and kindly answered our questions while there. We are a family with 2 nurses and 3 pharmacists and, therefore, have very high standards for cleanliness and sanitation. Owner did an excellent job at meeting or exceeding our expectations in this regard. We would highly recommend and would gladly return.

Let me first start by saying that I have rented several places over the past few years but nothing as spectacular and well maintained as this property. Joe and his wife truly have something special going on down on Lake Travis. We had a wedding planned nearby at Nature's point and we used this place for our family to stay and commune together during our stay. It was an immediate hit with my family as they enjoyed the well appointed amenities, wildlife, and stunning views. The close proximity to the lake and the wedding venue was perfect. Everyone had room to stretch out and enjoy a watch a very exhilirating Dallas Mavericks playoff game on the 100inch screen in the media room. BIG THUMBS Up! Joe has every detail planned out at the property and leaves you to worry about nothing but your vacation. Things are clearly labeled or have detailed instructions that are provided in a house booklet to give you peace of mind. If you have the opportunity to make a vacation happen in this location you have to consider this place as your first option. Nothing else compares in the area! Thanks again!

We had my Daughter's Graduation Celebration with Family members from all over the Country at this stunning property and it could not have been more perfect. The home is impecable, the view is majestic, and the location is peaceful and secluded. There were priceless memories created over this weekend that would not have been possible if not for this magnificent property! Our thanks to Sunset Over Travis for making this special weekend possible!

Live in Lago and this is the second time I rented this house for family reunion worked great again large kitchen and dinning area the best.

Amazing Rental

The house was amazing, and I wish I had more time to utilize the theatre room more while I was there with friends. The book that explained how to use the stereo and TV's along with local menu's and activities was also very nice. The online Pictures DID NOT do this house justice at all. I would highly recommend the property to friends and family.

13 girlfriends and I rented this house for my 30th birthday weekend! It was absolutely AMAZING!! As soon as we pulled into house we were greeted by 2 deer and a Bambi. The photos online (which are impressive) does this house no justice... It was even more incredible in person! The house included everything you need to stay. -All you need are clothes and food. There was a instruction book for everything you needed along with menus and information on nearby amenities and attractions. The downstairs game room was FULLY equipped with everything you needed to keep everyone busy. My husband and I also rented the house for an extra day longer so we can enjoy it with our 8 and 5 year old. They had a BLAST and are begging about going back to the "mansion"! :) Joe had an extra bag of corn in the garage to feed the deer. The kids enjoyed that! The short walk to the cove running in back yard was perfect. It was great having our own area of water to enjoy without extra visitors (minus the deer). -No boats or wave-runners speeding by us. I can go on and on about this AMAZING place!!! We cant wait to do it again... Already planning our next trip out!

We stayed here as a base for our activities while our son was getting married. What an amazing place! The views are spectacular and the house was so luxurious that we all felt pampered during the whole stay. At night when we drove up, deer were all over the place. The house had every need covered. The downstairs theater room was really awesome. We will definitely be revisiting this dream home.

Your home was such a treat that I actually have been thinking of many excuses to go back: family reunion, trip with our best friends, etc. You will definitely be hearing from us again. I had hoped more of our extended family would be able to visit us and see the house but with all the wedding goings-on, it was just nice to get a quiet secluded place to gather your thoughts and have quailty conversation in a gorgeous setting with our kids.

With a family of 11 adults and 5 children, this house has it all. You never knew the kids were loud watching movies and playing pool when the adults were upstairs cooking. This house is well worth the price - it's in a gorgeous/quiet area with plenty of deer and lake access. Owner is very accommodating. House has plenty of room for a big family without getting in each other's way. Very fun and filled with amenities!

Great house with a great view. This house has it all. The gameroom downstairs with the home theater was excellent. The house made our Lake Travis experience even better. Highly recommended.
