Why the Owner Chose Mountain Star
Mountain Star is the highest ski in ski out location on Blackcomb Mountain, which affords us easy access to the slopes and beautiful views across Whistler Valley.
This is the run to access the lifts. Ski under the Wizard Chair down to Blackcomb Base.
Lighted cross country ski trails in the winter, and great mountain bike trails in the summer, plus several beach areas. The water is cold!
The closest grocery, drug store, video store and cash machine are here.
Owner's Map of Mountain Star
We live in Vancouver, BC. We are the original owners of our Mountain Star home and have been renting it to guests since 1998. We spend as much time here as we can, and our sons and their families enjoy spending time here also. In the summer we love to hike, ride bikes and ride the Zip Line. In the winter we ski, both down hill and cross country. We hope you'll love Whistler as much as we do! The Cherrys

We stayed at Mountainstar for 16 nights. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us and the location is excellent, with a bus stop at the bottom of the drive way that will take you to the village and the slopes just steps away. ?The home was filled with everything you could imagine from kitchen/cooking utensils to Dvd's, and activities for the kids.

SNOW HAVEN! We loved it. The apartment was clean and extremely well stocked with all the essentials of a home. We discovered how easy it was to use the outdoor grill. There were also an electric knife (!!), an electric wok and a big rice cooker. It made cooking dinner really efficient and easy. The dishwasher was a dream too. We also loved the way the chalet has been furnished, with lots of paintings of skiing, reminding us of our days on the slopes. I especially loved the drawing of the crystal hut in the downstairs bathroom because we finally discovered the Belgium waffles on the slopes. Sadly made it there only once. To people reading this, go early otherwise the crystal hut becomes unbearably crowded. The kids also really really liked the hot tub. They would get out of their ski clothes quickly to go sit in the tub and stare at the mountain tops in the distance if it was still light. I would rate this one of the best homes away from home that we have stayed in, Thank you Holly and the Cherrys for helping us have a fantastic holiday. It was sooo great!!

Had a great holiday with my family in January 2010. The property is very comfortable, clean and well maintained. We were in Blackcomb for 3 weeks and just loved coming home to the condo each afternoon to relax in the spa and comfort.

Thank you so much for allowing us to use your Mountain home. It was fabulous! We loved your cozy and inviting decor and the beds are sooo plush. Now the kids want beds like that. We had great weather and hiked amongst the wildflowers and awesome views, and found new mtn biking trails above Lost Lake. I loved "Tin Cup". Thank you again.

"With Glowing Hearts"... What a wonderful Canadian welcome to the world! Thank you for sharing your home with us. My sons and I enjoyed a week here - we went to the Nordic combined race (USA took silver), and we got to see the medals presented! We also saw the men's free style skiing aerials under the lights at Cypress Mountain, and today, #1 and #2 Bobsleigh. We cooked, ate, and shopped. The hot tub was nice after walking and skiing. :-) This is a once in a lifetime vacation, but certainly not the last time to visit Whistler! I hope to return with my family someday soon, really soon. Thanks again for sharing your home. A nice way way to celebrate my birthday!

The condo was terrific and suited our needs. Weather turned out great which was such a bonus for viewing the Olympic events staged in Whistler. 3 Australian XC skiers competed in various events - Paul Murray, Ben Sim, and Esther Bottomley. We were very proud of all of their achievements - Go Australia! Thank you for having us at Mountain Star. We really enjoyed our stay - hope to come back again one day.
