Play. Relax. Repeat...at the Doublejack Guesthouse!
Taking its name from the mining term to describe a two-man rock drilling team, the Doublejack Guesthouse is perched hillside in the heart of Old Bisbee, just southeast of Tucson, Arizona. This guesthouse offers dramatic panoramic views of historic downtown Bisbee and Mexico.
Built in 1895, before Arizona even became a state, this fully restored and charming one-bedroom miner’s cottage is located along an old mule path turned staircase above street-level public parking – accessible via just enough stairs to feel healthy! Walk to fine dining, arts, museums, galleries, evening entertainment, and historic attractions; watch great birding; access hiking trails right above the house; and relax and enjoy gorgeous sunsets and stargazing from your private deck.
The Doublejack Guesthouse offers king-sized bed accommodations, a fully equipped kitchen, standard-size refrigerator with ice maker, central air conditioning and heating, claw foot bathtub & walk-in double shower, flat screen monitor with DVD/VCR player, movie library, iPod docking station with radio and CD player, wireless high speed Internet (WI-FI), and complimentary locally roasted coffee and fixings for breakfast.

Thanks again for another great stay in Bisbee. I never want to stay in another place -- cozy, comfy and all the things everyone else has said. Thanks for the recommendation to hike to the Cross on the hill. We tell everyone who comes to Tucson about your place.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Guys, when Lynda gave us a X-mas present to Bisbee, having our stay at the Doubljack just made it that much more special. Your attention to detail is great. We enjoyed the privacy of morning coffee with the birds fighting for food -- to being able to come and go on our own time. Bisbee is a fun town with great beer. We really hope to return and have the hospitality of the Doublejack again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

One more day to Rapture v 2.0, and what a better place to be than Bisbee and the Doublejack Guesthouse! This is our 3rd occasional High Desert Road Tour (this time: Silver City, Bisbee and Joshua Tree) and Bisbee is, again, the standout -- a repository of all things beautiful, weird, eclectic, and stimulating. Discovering the Doublejack was a definite highlight -- the perfect place from which to observe all the goings-on.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: Tucson Magazine named Bisbee, Arizona “Best Place to Get out of Town” for 2009, but we discovered this charming historical mining town on a road trip years ago. It was late afternoon and the sun was just setting on the red-colored mountains that surround Bisbee when we drove into town for the very first time. It was like we were looking at a picture-perfect postcard! One year later we came back for a second visit and it was during this visit that we bought a 100-year-old boarding house (which we made into our home) and the 110-year-old miner's cottage (now the Doublejack Guesthouse) next door. We love it here! Your hosts, Jeff & Bob.
Why the Owner Chose Bisbee:
Bisbee is a friendly and accepting community which offers everything from fine dining to old-west saloons, mining history, Victorian architecture, great hiking and world-class birding opportunities.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Whether you come for a weekend getaway or spend the whole week, you won’t run out of things to do or places to eat at. From a stone-baked natural pizzeria to a gourmet take-out café offering a smoothie, juice and espresso bar, one won’t go hungry in this town! Bisbee offers something for everyone – fun things to do, unique lodging, art galleries, and loads of shopping. In 2008 Arizona Highways named Café Roka and in 2009 Bisbee Breakfast Club among the top 25 restaurants in all of Arizona. History buffs will discover an award-winning Smithsonian affiliate, the Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum. For the adventurous, there is the underground Queen Mine Tour. One of the best ways to experience Bisbee is to just get out of your car and walk around the charming alleys, stairways and sidewalks of Old Bisbee. Come with your sense of adventure and leave with a renewed spirit!
