Our 4 bedroom, spacious home will envelope you in the comforts of home away from home. Each room is furnished with a double or queen sized bed and clean fresh sheets with plenty of pillows. The rooms each have their own collection of books ranging in topics from fishing and traveling to hair raising adventures....
Climate: Different from the hot and humid summers on the Sea of Cortez !! We are on the Pacific Ocean which means comfortable and mild winters (65 F during the day) and cooler summers (75 F). La Bocana is known for its constant breeze.
Fishing for dorado, yellowtail, tuna and wahoo is the theme of this village! In the Panga Extra, a 22' boat, seasoned captain Les will take you to his favorite spots to give you the best experience he can offer.
Estero La Bocana is an 11-mile-long lagoon with mangroves. It has halibut, grouper and sand bass and is full of wildbirds. Excellent for birdwatching and fishing. It's entrace is where the iwnd blows full speed and you can oftem find kite surfers flying through the air.
Whale watching from Jan to April, walking on the beach or just relaxing on the front porch looking at the ocean daydreaming - La Bocana offers the vacation of a lifetime.
Cactus is a local restaurant catering to Americans. Run by Juaquin, this is the local hangout where you will find lots of fish photographs and be able to make friends with some of the locals as well as meet all the gringos. To say that the food is outstanding is an understatement !!
Local chef Rene comes to our B & B upon request and makes some traditional Sinaloan Mexican dishes that are out of this world. Having run his own restaurant on the mainland, we are lucky to have him around La Bocana !
Skipper Les has been coming to La Bocana for over 10 years, bought his home here 5 years ago and has been living here full time for 2 years +. On his 22 foot panga, PANGA EXTRA, he takes you out and you can bet he knows all the great little spots in the ocean.
October is lobster season !!! Great meals !!
Blanca has started a museum and has some unique antique artifacts. For those who are adventuresome, on weekends, locals Valentin and Edith can take you on bike rides into the desert as well as off-roading into the mountains.
