The Unique Benefits at this House
Lots of wonderful things to do, whether you ski well or just learning, spend time on the mountain or in a boat on the lake,
and then of course there is golf! It easy for everyone to go off on their own to hike or bike during the day and reconvene in the evening.
Two things stillI on my to do list...the hot springs and I would love to take a sleigh ride with the fam.
Owner's Map of SolVista
We thought it would be fun to continue Tom's family tradition of spending time in Winter Park. His family drove up
the mountain nearly every weekend to ski, having a place to lay their heads at the end of a day of skiing was their dream.
Not only have we loved spending time up there, but we thought it would be fun to share it with other families.
The nice thing about Lambent is that it has room for everyone. It is a wonderful place for children!

We rented both units for New Years Eve weekend ( 2 nights); very pleased that it was able to accommodate 24 people and very affordable. What we liked about the rental home, there were thermostats in every room, so everyone was able to control the temperature in their rooms. Liked the washer and dryer in both units, and the area the home was located. There are plenty of parking spaces. However, the place was not the cleanest when we arrived. The trash bins outside of the house were completely full, and it was totally noticeable that the old renter’s must have just left the house. Both units had washer and dryer, which is a plus, however the dryer in unit one (left) was completely over stuffed with wet towels that we had to take out and divide into 3 separate loads in order to dry the towels, we also had to fold them ourselves. The refrigerator in the second unit (right) was leaking water from the back. The “rental features” states that there is cable/satellite tv, which is incorrect. Another thing that was an inconvenience is check-in time is at 4pm and check-out time is at 10am. We also contacted the rental management company to inquiry about checking in an hour earlier and checking out an hour later and whether or not there was WiFi available, and never got a respond.
Owner response:Thank you for your feedback. I do apologize for the laundry situation. It is a big home and we do not use a laundry service. Since this party was checking in directly after another party, often times the cleaning staff will leave linens in the dryers. The trash is also only picked up once a week at the most. The owner built an enclosed area for the dumpster to help "hide" the trash from other guests and neighbors. I was never contacted by this party. I am ALWAYS available. I am not sure who they called but it was not me! I would have let them know that a late check out would have been fine as there was not another party checking in directly after them. An early check in would have been a bit more difficult as this party was coming in on the heals of another party. However, if the staff was done cleaning it would have been fine to enter the property. Also, WiFi is not advertised in the amenities section of the write-up. Thank you.

Worked very well for 4 families, with 6 kids. 4 bedrooms and 3 baths on each side. Liked separateness - in case of babies sleeping, snorers, too hot or too cold folks. As it was 4th of July weekend, we were out and about hiking, parade and fireworks watching, etc. Plenty of parking. Plenty of towels, linens and cute decor. Enough room in one kitchen for meals for everyone, tho we mostly did breakfasts. Did leave a list of needed minor repairs for owner. Lots to do around Granby, Winter Park, Grand lake and would recommend as a base for any group outing in the summer. Less than a 1/2 hour drive to almost everything, and grocery store 1/2 mile away, so we didn't need to bring a lot of food up in the car. Very enjoyable weekend. Paula

I booked both units for a big group of us. I must say this is an excellent place if you have a group of 16 or more. The place was clean, perfectly located, and very comfortable. The 3 bathrooms per unit is a PLUS!! You are very close to Sol Vista, Fraser Tubing hill, and of course only about 20 minutes from Winter Park. We will definitely be returning to this unit.

My husband and I, along with 9 friends, rented both sides of this duplex for 2 nights over Thanksgiving. We were happy with the amount of space, as everyone got their own bedroom. We were allowed to bring our dogs along without an additional deposit, which is very rare. During our stay we had the following issues: *The two sides of the duplex are not internally connected. Traveling outside between the two sides was a big hassle. *The fireplace on one side did not work, despite an hour or two trying to fix it. *The lack of supplies: we had to share 1 sponge between the two sides and 1 side ran out of toilet paper. *The ovens were tiny, which made cooking Thanksgiving dinner difficult. *The knives in the block were extremely rusted and not usable. Good thing we brought our own. *The checkout policy required us to strip all sheets and start laundry (even though we paid a cleaning fee). I have never come across this, and we have rented many vacation homes throughout the years.
Owner response:I do appreciate this feedback. I made it clear to these renters that the home had NOT been fall cleaned yet and that it might not be 'ready' and fully stocked. They wanted to book the home anyway. It was a last minute rental. I only charged them 50% of the cleaning fee. I live locally and would have been right over to help with the fireplace if they had called and let me know there was a problem. This is an older home and the price reflects that. Many owners appreciate help with checking out. People are often asked to strip the beds. The cleaning staff REALLY appreciates this and I thank people, in advance, for helping with this.
