We greatly enjoyed our stay at Silver Strike. The condo was roomy enough for our 2 boys, infant daughter and us. We were impressed how nice it was upon arrival (the photos do not do it justice :). The kitchen is stocked with nice gadgets and appliances, the bedrooms are certainly roomy enough. The in-unit laundry and ski locker outside the front door were great. Shuttle service and skiing was fantastic! My only suggestions would be - put an even better heating unit downstairs as the difference between the upstairs and downstairs temperatures is really significant. Also - having wireless password listed upon arrival would be helpful. Thanks for a great weekend!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Regarding the disparity in temp between the two floors, we do mention it, and it is reason for leaving the portable heater out for guests to use. Plus, is so much better since we had dual-paned windows installed! But, unfortunately, it is mostly because of how the units were constructed in the 70's! I hope you will return again! Midge

My husband and I have rented this property several times. We love it! A great quiet two bedroom condo - perfect for a couple getaway or a weekend with friends. The condo has a high vaulted ceiling common areas with a great wood burning fireplace with plenty of wood and a well stocked kitchen. It has a nice BBQ on the deck which makes grilling easy winter or summer. It's situated in a part of the complex where there is plenty of parking right in front of the building and is steps away from the shuttle bus stop that drops you in the village in about 2 minutes. It's always very clean and nicely decorated.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Hi, Stayed at this great condo for long weekend. It has everything you need - great selection of movies and music. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking gear and nice wine glasses too! The beds and flannel sheets were so comfortable - it made getting out of bed to get on the hill a little tough! We'll definitely be back. Also great location for the ski shuttle - it literally is less than 5 minutes to the drop off at Northstar! You can walk if you want :)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children.

This Northstar condo is really, really nice, and was more than enough space for the four of us. This place had pretty much everything- bedrooms, bathrooms, and washer/dryer on the first floor, and then upstairs there was a full kitchen with an oven, stove, microwave, fridge, toaster oven, coffee maker, pots, pans, utensils, plates, glasses, etc. There was even a dishwasher which is a big plus when you're on vacation! This condo is a really good value, plus there is a free shuttle that takes you to the Northstar village & ski mountain right outside your door! Midge was wonderful in answering all our questions...thanks again Midge!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: My husband & I have owned in Northstar since 1999. We purchased it as a respite from life in Silicon Valley. The esthetics were what drew us to own in this area, the breathtaking beauty of Lake Tahoe can be seen from the top of Northstar when skiing or mountain climbing. We enjoy it year-round: skiing in winter, tennis-summers, hiking in spring & fall. It's all we'd hoped for. We hope you enjoy it too!
Why the Owner Chose Northstar:
We are part of the original condos & homes that have access to the Recreation Center, with it's 3 large spa hot tubs, 3 swimming pools (1 community, 1 lap, 1 child) & 10 tennis courts and tennis camps. Which, the new Village homes/condo's do not have privilege to.
